Leclerc got the advantage by winning the pole position before the race on Sunday. Sainz left the second and third positions to Red Bull drivers by making a mistake on his last attempt. A very exciting race is waiting for us tomorrow. Sainz's staying in the competition will be quite important for Ferrari to keep their hand strong in terms of strategy.

yeah, Leclerc is again on pole position, but what surprise me is that Perez is again above Max in first row, with second time in qualification
will be interesting to watch the race tomorrow
Mercedes is again closer, but Hamilton is far from form, and Russell is above him as well

and my plans to go on Hungaroring are probably down, still not decided about it

Max Verstappen is somewhat disappointing what he has shown. Anyway, he is very good at racing and also better than LeClerc. I don't think you can overtake very easily at this track, but fun things always happen and a safety car will undoubtedly be on track again. I think Verstappen will win tomorrow anyway. In fact, LeClerc should win to keep the battle for the World Championship champ exciting.
And it is time for Hamilton to show something tomorrow.

Leclerc has won qualify for Baku. I really hope that tomorrow he will do a good race and also win it, I'm tired to see a nice racer like Leclerc doing so good in qualify mode and so bad in race mode. He deserves to win !

He may be a good racer but not a perfect one.He missed every single lap by making errors in every lap except the last one which he orchestrated perfectly and got a well deserved pole position.However in the race is a completely different story,he needs to keep up the pressure by not making mistakes at a really difficult and technical track like this one and also Ferrari needs to be very careful with the strategy tomorrow.A single mistake here can cost everyone the race,I mean a mistake in the race but even a bad strategy can cost you a few positions here so I expect a really good race tomorrow,at least no rain so there will be no worthless red flags.

We are leaving a really horrible weekend for Tifosi fans behind in Baku. Frankly, my pain doubled as I gave a place to Ferrari in my bets. There are still people among us who are happy at this weekend. Foremost among them is rdbase who won the yellow cap. Congratulations!

Ferrari really needs to solve this kind of problem, you cant fight for any if you have this big failures. I dont know how Leclerc can feel because you are doing and amazing job and the team its putting all his effort in the trash.

I knew that Leclerc and Sainz would not going to be 1-2 today not because that I expected problems with their engine and hydraulic system but because yesterday both of them made errors after errors and Sainz also made a big one in the start of the final qualifiers yesterday.Leclerc was only because of his bravery in the Pole yesterday but I knew in the race would be a different thing.

I am doing great personally in the last three rounds being 2nd or 3rd but in the rankings this seemed to not help even a bit.

Yeah, sorry about Ferrari guys, and I just read that 4 cars with Ferrari engines all failed and DNF. I do feel vindicated with a RB 1-2 finish, but should have been even colder about Ferrari, plucked LeClerc to get the last podium spot and paid the price.

Just not going anywhere for the prancing horse, but you know what they say, bad luck comes in threes and I suspect it will be another week of pain in Canada for them as I really don't see how they can extricate themselves out of this mess in 7 days.

Red Bull won this one, and Max is getting closer to another title, but Mercedes is better with each race, and it could get more interesting in following races
for me, Russell constantly above Hamilton is a bit of surprise, having a same car, but I am getting used to that one

Was hard for me even to watch the highlights as I'm a massive Charles fan and this guy is having so much bad luck lately and I'm thinking how he finds the strength to move over after so many DNF when he didn't even make mistakes to compromise his races ... .

Ferrari should really find something and they should find a fix as soon as possible because the engine clearly doesn't work and you can't rely on it but both drivers from Ferrari changed so many parts on the cars that they might enter in penalty area on the end of the season so basically they kinda lost the title fight in Baku today.

RedBull did an amazing job with both drivers and Perez should be allowed to fight Max for title in the next year as he showed today once again that he is a team player and you can rely on him. Max drove without mistakes like he always does.

Mercedes ...well , I heard that Lewis will test a new floor of the car in this week and I'm curious if they will permanently fix the bounces of the car. Russel ? he could be a title contender with just a slightly better car so I hope Mercedes will find a way.

The excitement in F1 is still on by the Canadian GP this week. Even though having consecutive races is really good for us, the race lovers, it can be quite difficult for especially the teams. The Canadian GP has a track with full of straights and there aren't many turns. Because of this, I think that Red Bull would be powerful here. The practice sessions would give us an idea about this. By the way, I don't know if you've heard but Leclerc had to wait in the airport for some time because of missing the Canada flight.

I really like have races in consecutive weeks.
And yes this its really tough for the teams in terms of logistics.

I heard one thing about the urban circuits, they are the worst for teams like Mercedes because track isnt so "flat" and this cause a lot more of porpoising.

This upcoming track is a crucial one for the fight for the title of F1 this year,especially for the drivers,Verstappen is leading comfortably from Leclerc at 34 points distance and a bit less compared to his team mate Perez.Ferrari will have a really difficult job at this track where 95% of the time you are driving full throttle,based on what we have seen in the previous races this track should clearly favor the Redbull team as they have the fastest top speed in the straights,if they manage another win or 1-2 win things will get difficult for any other team to recover and we risk to see a boring F1 season from this race and on but I hope to be wrong in this last prediction.

I wouldn't be so pessimist, in my opinion Ferrari can recover and fight for the world championship, only 33% of the total race has been done at the moment, so, luckely, there is also time to fight.

What bad luck for Leclerc anyway, today he has also lost the flight for Canada  , hope that the best moments For ferrari will come really soon..

I read an interesting statistical data related to Leclerc today. In Formula 1 history, there was only Montoya who couldn't win any race despite winning the pole position four times in a row. But now Leclerc is also in the same situation. We shouldn't forget that one of the pole positions that Leclerc and Ferrari wasted was Monaco GP too.

There isn't a big gap between me and the people right behind me. And we aren't even in the middle of the season yet. It wouldn't be even surprising for me to finish the pool out of top 5.

Yes obviusly Ferrari can win the constructor champions, but i see two main problems.

1- They realibity. A disaster for Ferrari team enginering itself. But with this we have a second problem derivated of this, Its the engine broken several times because they push to the maximum to not lose speed or horsepowers?. If this its true they have a really big trouble ahead.

2- I know its less and less probable with the pass of the races, but if Mercedes recoves his performance Ferrari can lose some points and be in more pressure in all races, and as we know Ferrari doesnt do good in high pressure situation.

I have fear for Lewis Hamilton even finishing this race because it is a well known fact that the track is very bumpy and did you see him coming out of his car after the last race? He looked in a whole lot of pain.
I don't think his back will be able to hold out on this track in Parc Jean-Drapeau for this weekend.

Didn't realise Hamilton had an injury from the last race, strange the news didn't talk about it while I was reading, seems pretty significant if Ricciardo is to be believed, though others say he exaggerated it. I couldn't say either way but that posture was never going to be good for anyone long term.

@CLS63 Did Montoya not win but finish those races though? LeClerc I think just really really really unlucky with the engine crap. That surely has to change, but I don't think in time for next race.
