Qualifying has finally ended and there was a really nice competition between Leclerc and Verstappen honestly. Before the last tries, Leclerc was ahead of Verstappen by a gap like 0.009s. This was really unbelievable to me. This made me start thinking that the result would also be similar to this. However Leclerc didn't let this happen. His last lap was incredibly good and he got some help by Sainz also. He improved his time even more and Verstappen couldn't answer him in the same way. His first two sectors were really bad and he managed to improve his time just a little bit.

It looks like Ferrari is strong favorite to win tomorrow race based on the pace they had here.Redbull doesn't look like is capable of responding back and their only hope will be tire degradation of Ferrari or doing much better at the pitstop/s during tomorrow race.There is a lot of reliability questions regarding Ferrari so that can be something that can ruin Ferrari race also.Overall though looks like the upgrades to Ferrari especially this new back wing is working like it should.I believe also this track to be much suited to Ferrari together with the next one in Hungary next week.

yeah, LeClerc is basically left to fight on his own, and Max will have help
but, that is F1, isn't it, teams are fighting, and each team has first driver, after all

would be nice to see LeClerc winning tomorrow, could bring a bit more intensity to overall season, since, IMO, Max is already champion and it would need a lot of mistakes and misfortunes to see him not

With this climate, the winner will be the one who can manage the tires in a better way.

Remember the last GP when Max has no clue on how to keep the Ferrari speed with his deterioration of the tires?

Tomorrow will be more hotter than 2 weeks ago, so it will be a disaster for someone.

The qualifying session was good actually. We witnessed a nice rivalry between Leclerc and Verstappen. Leclerc had a much greater lap while the session was ending and won the pole position at the end. Still everything can happen in the race of course. These two would compete with each other strongly because they both seem well-prepared for the race. Sainz is way behind the front row but I believe he can climb the positions. But his job is going to be difficult on a track like this.

It will surely be a difficult race with these super hot temperatures around,the asphalt temperature should be so hot that the tire management should be the number one concern for any driver and especially for the drivers fighting for victory.I think that Redbull has two chances compared to Ferrari because they have both drivers 2nd and 3rd and they can opt to experiment with Perez for example making it difficult for Ferrari and Leclerc to get the win.

Most likely I see Hamilton out of the podium if no reliability problems arise for the top three drivers or unless a safety car changes the course of the race,in normal conditions I do not see this happening.

There you go, Leclerc out of this race for a third time this season. With a similar problem as before with his throttle pedal causing him spinning off the track. Why can't Ferrari get this issue solved as you can feel Charles pain in that deafening scream he made in the radio as soon he knew what had happened.

Well those who had him in the pool to win the race are in the same pain and I had him with fastest lap aswell.

the good one if they solve their affidability issue, but damn, this is absolutely a broken season... the only good thing is to see Sainz at this moment fighting for a good placement.

Leclerc gave an interview where he accepted it was his error and not a reliability problem.He acknowledged that if he keeps making such mistakes that are unacceptable to him it is only natural for him to lose the Championship,and he said if I lose the Championship for like 32 points in the end I know where I have lost it,at Imola and France referring to his errors and taking full responsibility for his errors also letting apart Ferrari reliability problems.Ferrari did a great job as with Sainz they beside getting the fastest lap like near 2.5 seconds less than that of the leader Verstappen,they also got the top speed at 344 Km/h which shows the new engine is looking great.There is only problem for them,not that many races left and Leclerc is 62 points behind Verstappen.

Well I don't know if there were an error or not, just go to hear team radio to see if it is an error. Maybe Leclerc in that interviews has told what that Ferrari has told to say. I'm not so sure that there weren't any car related

reliability problem, just see also the incident. From now anyway there are 10 races, win a season from leclerc would be a miracle, but who I am, let's see what will happen

I'm really very sorry for Leclerc. Ferrari still couldn't have found a solution to durability problems. This week has been a really big disappointment for me in the pool. I'm not comfortable in the lead like in the old times from now on. Lastly, I'd like to congratulate casperBGD for winning the yellow cap this week. Thus, casperBGD has won the yellow cap for three times in total.

Congrats to casperBGD for the yellow cap.I think I am still doing great at second place for the 6th or 7th consecutive race.Normally I don't get mad at any driver as I love F1 but today myy rage is totally directed at Sergio Perez what an amateur driver he looked during all the race today,I had him in 3rd place and would have got another 2 points if he was into the race with his mind also,as apparently with his mind today he was in a far far away land.

Most probably they should also award the worst driver of the day beside the driver of the day title.I am sure everyone would have voted for Perez,he surely does not deserve a place at Redbull.

I put the doble podium for Mercedes..... but i put George second and Lewis third.
I put Perez P5 finish P4.
I put Sainz P6 finish P5.
I put Alonso P7 finish P6.
I put Norris P8 finish P7.

So close so far, at the same time hahaha.

You sure got some gut bolded predictions,how on earth can a normal person put Russell 2nd  when we have two Ferraris and two Redbulls which are clearly better cars than Mercedes although Mercedes is closing the gap quickly as we saw in this race but beside that in Mercedes races also Hamilton which has a whole lot more experience than Russell.

Russell got third only because Perez took a nap while the virtual safety car was ending and he only realized that it has ended when he was over took by Russell,than Perez which was clearly the worst driver of today race kept saying "Russell cutting track,Russel cutting track" which is just a desperate action and nothing more.
