Original Topic: What are Address Poisoning Scams?
Author: Pmalek

Plenti of una don already hear, and some don even experience address poisoning scams. Nah relatively new type of scamming scheme, wey don become popular for di last 30-40 days. E dey appear for blockchains wey get cheap transaction fees, wey dey allow di scammers to send many low-cost transactions. I neva read about cases wey dis affect di Bitcoin network, but e still worth knowing about just in case you come  experience am for your BTC wallet in di future. Hardware wallet manufacturers, like Ledger don report say scammers dey target their users as well. So, stay alert.

Wetin be Address Poisoning, and How e dey Work?

Dis scam dey work by sending potential victims small (near-zero) crypto transactions. You go see a new entry for your transaction history wen dat one happen. Di address wey dey send di  coins/tokens go look similar to your own. Di first and last two to four characters go dey identical.

Di scammer wan make you think say nah your own address. So, you go copy am from your transaction history wen you dey send coins to yourself or give am to a different party to pay you. In dat case, the funds go dey transferred to di scammer and not to you.

For which Blockchains Address Poisoning dey Common?

Users of di following blockchain networks don already experience address poisoning in one way or di other:

1.   Tron
2.   Binance Smart Chain
3.   Polygon
4.   Ethereum
5.   Maybe others

Safety Measures and Wetin to do Next

If you be victim of address poisoning, dem no get any reasons to panic. Nobody dey target you personally. Scammers victims nah those who dey make frequent transactions and move big sums of money.

Your coins no dey at risk. Your private keys/seed no dey leaked, and nobody don get control of your addresses, no matter di transaction history. Them no get protection against dis address poisoning, by himself , because you no go fit restrict someone from sending you crypto. E dey safe to use those coins as well.

Dem get  small things wey you suppose always do to stay safe when sending and receiving crypto:

•   Neva copy addresses from your wallet's transaction history.
•   Neva copy addresses from a blockchain explorer.
•   Always dey generate or copy addresses from your wallet's receive or addresses tab.
•   Wen sending coins elsewhere, copy di address from di source/destination.
•   If you dey transfer crypto to a different person, ask di other party for di correct address.
•   Verify di full address, not just di first and last couple of characters.
•   If you dey use a hardware wallet, ensure say di address in your software dey  match with di one wey dey show on your device's screen.
•   Dey prepared to double and triple-check if needed because cryptocurrency transactions dey irreversible. So, once your money is gone, e don lost forever. As can be seen, e dey  better to spend an extra minute checking wetin you dey do than to regret say  you no do am.

Translated Topic in Pidgin Language; [TUTORIAL] LND node for Windows for Lightning Network - Beginner friendly
Original Topic: [TUTORIAL] LND node on Windows for Lightning Network - Beginner friendly
Author: Mahiyammahi

Hello Bitcoiners!

I start my journey and get inspire by NotATether's Lightning Node challenge, after i finish my Bitcoin core Node challenge wey I run for 14-days, for dis forum. Dey don already get di Detail guide from Satofan44 for 🔥🔥 Complete GUIDE for Lightning Desktop Nodes since em tutorial na base on Ubuntu I dey write dis on behalf of Windows users since most people for forum na desktop user also I see people wey  perticipate for 14 days bitcoin core node run most of dem na for Windows. So on behalf of dem na em I dey write dis tutorial.

I follow plenty documantion most of dem dey outdated or some miss some part, after I combine all di wahala wey I face, I write down all di problem na so i fit to run di final LND node for Lightning Newtwork

Wetin be di Lightning Newtwork?
- Di Lightning Network na di second layer build for top of Bitcoin wey dey enables:
Quote
instant
lowfees
scalable bitcoin payments

Requirements

- Windows PC (Windows 10 or Higher )
- At least na 600GB free disk space for Bitcoin core full node dey require (unless you use pruned mode)
- Stable Internet and patience

Phase 1 - Download and Sync di full Bitcoin Core Nore (if you don already finish dis you fit skip dis part)
Di fully synced Bitcoin Core node dey required, in order to work yur LND node properly. However, if you still insist to run for pruned mode dey aware of dis limitation
- Pruned nodes dey delete old blockchain data → LND can’t find some transactions wey e needs
- dis dey breaks channel creation, backups, and some RPC commands
- save your txn details manually for queries

STEPS
1. Download Bitcoin Core
👉 https://bitcoincore.org/en/download/
2. Install and run am.
3. Let di bitcoin core run for background for fully synced since e go download 600GB wey worth of block data
4. Dis fit take you 24h to 3/4 days depends for yur PC hardware composition and yur internet speed.
5. After fully synced you Bitcoin core node follow this
6. Find yur Bitcoin core node file directory/Path, dis fit be like dis - C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Roaming\Bitcoin
7. Or if you download am another directory you fit simply look for am like dis Windows+R paste dis
Code:
 %localappdata%\Bitcoin
and enter e go take you to you bitcoin core path.
8. Open bitcoin.conf for notepad add dis -

Quote
server=1
txindex=1
rpcuser=bitcoin
rpcpassword=your_secure_password
zmqpubrawblock=tcp://127.0.0.1:28332
zmqpubrawtx=tcp://127.0.0.1:28333
9. if you dey run your bitcoin core for pruned mode -
Quote
server=1
prune=20000
txindex=0
rpcuser=bitcoinuser
rpcpassword=your_secure_password
zmqpubrawblock=tcp://127.0.0.1:28332
zmqpubrawtx=tcp://127.0.0.1:28333

note - You must change your password and also change di pruned amount make e match how your Bitcoin Core node dey run. It is suggested to run your bitcoin core node pruned - 10/20 GB . prune=20000 here indicating 20GB of pruned.

Phase 2 - Download , Install and Run LND node

STEPS
1. Download LND for Windows:
👉 https://github.com/lightningnetwork/lnd/releases
2. Download dis version  - lnd-windows-amd64-v0.19.2-beta.zip [must download windows-amd64.zip one dere you go get plenty of version for linux , rasbery pie so di specific name wey I mention download dat one to avoid any wahala]
2. Comot Di folders part to
Code:
 C:\lnd
[Create di folder name lnd for C:\ and comot di lnd part wey you just download, you go get lnd.exe and lnd.cli for dere]

3. Create LND config folder for dis path
Code:
 C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Local\Lnd

4. inside dat folder create di file name lnd.conf [make sure say di extension no be txt cause windows sometimes dey hide extension]  and put dis into dat lnd.conf
Code:
 [Application Options]
alias=MyLNDNode
listen=0.0.0.0:9735

[Bitcoin]
bitcoin.active=true
bitcoin.mainnet=true
bitcoin.node=bitcoind

[Bitcoind]
bitcoind.rpcuser=bitcoin
bitcoind.rpcpass=your_secure_password
bitcoind.rpchost=127.0.0.1
bitcoind.zmqpubrawblock=tcp://127.0.0.1:28332
bitcoind.zmqpubrawtx=tcp://127.0.0.1:28333
[you fit change 'alias' dis go be your node name , also make sure say you change di pass]

5. Restart yur Bitcoin Core

make we start LND
6. Open command Promt -
Code:
 cd C:\lnd
lnd.exe

 For Windows, if you dey use Command Prompt, you go need to specify di exact file name and path. So try dis one if e no work -
Code:
cd C:\lnd
.\lnd.exe
for di first time e go ask to create wallet
7. Open anoda command promt and
Code:
 cd C:\lnd
lncli.exe create
or
Code:
cd C:\lnd
.\lncli.exe unlock
We dey specify am by adding .\ for start and adding exe

E go ask for wallet password to take create wallet , put your wallet password. If you no see anything for screen no worry power shell/command promt dont show you pass for security reason. Save your recovery seed. Congratulation you don do everything okay , LND don dey run. E go take some time to sync with bitcoin core.

8. To check yur Lnd node status run dis
Code:
lncli getinfo
you go see somethin like dis -
Code:
{
    "version":  "0.18.5-beta commit=v0.18.5-beta",
    "commit_hash":  "4ccf4fc24c750d098cf24566ef4bbc0311c7d476",
    "identity_pubkey":  "0206abb79af738e8009dff2eeb78cac43441c54c32a65db87398a4903ffded7a50",
    "alias":  "MyLNDNode",
    "color":  "#3399ff",
    "num_pending_channels":  0,
    "num_active_channels":  0,
    "num_inactive_channels":  0,
    "num_peers":  2,
    "block_height":  895957,
    "block_hash":  "0000000000000000000172ec1306a6b2f58314370aef2dd0573a1defadb478d7",
    "best_header_timestamp":  "1746794076",
    "synced_to_chain":  true,
    "synced_to_graph":  false,
    "testnet":  false,
    "chains":
Notice:- Your node suppose dey say "synced_to_chain":  true if na false dat means say e never still get synced with yur bitcoin core, e go take some time to synced normally na 5/10 min.

Pase 3- make we Create Channel and Pay invoice for Lightning Network

STEPS
1. To create channel you go need to fund your wallet first , you need to fund your wallet wit atleast 35k sats. 20k Sats to create yur channel and 10k sats for reserve . You go get back dis 10k sats if you close your channel.
2. To fund your wallet make we get wallet address first
Code:
 lncli newaddress p2wkh
now send 35k-40k sats to dis wallet.
3. Before you create channel connect with pesin
Code:
lncli connect pubkey@ip:port

4. You fit see all node details for here - https://1ml.com/node
5. Di top nodes dey require 100k sats to create di channel I create am with Blixt Wallet node you fit try am -
Code:
 .\lncli.exe connect 0230a5bca558e6741460c13dd34e636da28e52afd91cf93db87ed1b0392a7466eb@176.9.17.121:9735
6. After e connect, now create am -
Code:
.\lncli.exe openchannel --node_key=0230a5bca558e6741460c13dd34e636da28e52afd91cf93db87ed1b0392a7466eb --local_amt=20000 --private
we dey  create private channel here, cause public channel dey require 100k sats
7. You suppose see your funding txn dere, e go take 3 block confirmation to tek create yur wallet successfully.
8. Check yur channel here -
Code:
.\lncli.exe listchannels
or if e dey pending
Code:
.\lncli.exe pendingchannels

Now make we pay some invoice
8. Grab di invoice or Public address from Nostr , Stacr news
Code:
 lncli payinvoice <invoice_string>
e go look like this
Quote
lncli payinvoice lnbc160u1p5x5rlqpp5qnvmh2smde2mdayhnu8he20nkejxes3hw9k77036ce6t5kh5ve7qdqqcqzys xqrrsssp5lgfy8tfwnfmy6jvk57867zyganucsk9t3fnxug5sfcwegkkxt89q9qxpqysgqtr8htaxw9 avqa9ywn4qs47d5vxm44r7l2ssfmt7ch4u36yyqs9aru25psf5vuhlydgnfrysgd0zzq37dsuq0z4qa ndjlptgnl0p2lfqpgmrqg0

9. To create yur own invoice
Code:
 lncli addinvoice --amt=5000

Congratulation
if you pull dis all and succed

You fit see some difficulty if you dey connect to some public node I go recomended to use VPN , cause I face dis problem den I try am with Proton VPN .na my ISP just dey block anoda pesin to connect. Satofan44 ask me to collab with am, but I dey always busy na why I no gree with am. E take me month to create and open channel to run di Thunderhub Webpage after i run my LND node. I too dey lazy ig .

Maybe I fit miss many tin or my write up dey bad/not well clear abeg consider dis am. Sorry for any kind of wahala wey I cause.

Translated Topic in Pidgin Language: Stick to bitcoin and stay away from dem centralized crypto, especially stablecoins
Original Topic: Stick with bitcoin and stay away from centralized crypto, especially stablecoins
Author: Pmalek

Tether don freeze over $180 million in USDT across five wallets on di Tron blockchain a few days ago. Dem believe say those wallets dey connected to Venezuela, dat used USDT for oil trade and to evade US sanctions. Dem report say 80% of Venezuela's oil revenue is settled in USDT. And Wetin happened? US political interests happened, and dat resulted in Tether freezing di addresses.

Source: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/tether-freezes-182m-usdt-largest-105442400.html

Di lesson dey clear. You do not  own centralized stablecoins. You dey co-own dem with di issuer. An issuer wey fit remove you from di equation at any time. Stablecoins fit be a very dangerous double-edged sword, and di way dem dey work dey very different from bitcoin.

E no be freedom money if dem get governor wey fit take am from you. Nah just a new form of di petrodollar, where di same powers fit pull di strings.

But Bitcoin no get an issuer. Transactions dey settle for every 10 minutes without asking di "Bitcoin Board of Directors" or di "CEO" if e dey ok. Orange presidents no fit call di "Bitcoin Security Department", threaten dem with tariffs, and request a rollback or a freeze. Di blockchain does not care who you be or who your political alliances be. Nodes don't discriminate, and only make sure say di rules are being followed.

E dey that simple to achieve financial freedom. If you do am right, nobody fit steal your money from you. Well, dey fit if dey invade, capture your President, and... Oh!

Rant over!

Use Bitcoin. Everything else dey secondary. We no kuku need any more examples.

Di extension get some good features for forum, and I don dey use am tey tey. But di extension don old e no dey gree work with Google Chrome. Na em be say e don disable and e no longer dey works. Dey also remove am from di Chrome store.
Di problem be say dey ban di member mrvuit wey create di extension from di forum, so em ignore di extension and e no update am again.

Since di extension dey important to me and na open source, so I decide to update am make e fit work with di new version for Chrome.
So with di help of di AI copilot "GPT-4.1," I upgrade di extension, and I make am work with di Chrome and e dey work well well.

Di main problem be say most of di old extensions dem build am for Manifest V2, but Google now dey only support Manifest V3 for di recent versions for Chrome. Dis dey require some basic modification, dem remove or modify some features wey no longer dey support for V3. For example:
"background pages" become "service workers".
Also, for V2, you fit use di HTML page as di background, but for V3, you must use di "Service Worker" (JavaScript file).
In addition, dem be just few other changes, all of dem dey complete successfully after I try am few times.

Na di screenshot of di extension be dis:

Di last version be 2.5 so I go call dis version 3.

*extension feature with update up to version 2.5:
- Change di theme
- Block di signature
- Block avatar
- Open external links for new tab (Always on)
- Change di font size
- improve Merit UI (Always on)
- Pin plenty post or comment
- Show total merit in di post (Always on)
- Highlight your username for merit (Always on)
- Show icon go to di top (Always on)
- improve di Report To Moderator UI (Always on)
- Show Bitcoin & Ethereum price
- Show total merit
- Highlight your username in merit, sort your username to first
- Show icon go to di top
- Show Bitcoin & Ethereum price

Di extension na still open source after modification and fit be instal via di link:
For Chrome:
https://github.com/yhiaali3/bitcointalk-script

For FirFox:
https://github.com/yhiaali3/bitcointalk-script-FirFox

Di extension de work with all browsers based on "Chromemui core" like Chrome, Brave, Microsoft Edge

But I no get di developer account for di Chrome Store, so I no fit upload am. If member get account for there and e fit upload am, dat one go dey nice.

As I talk am before, di extension na open source and na mrvuit develop am. I just update am. Any member fit make any change to am as dey wish and update di extension so dat everyone go fit benefit.

If dey get any errors, comments or bring suggestions to improve di extension, please post dem here for di thread.

Thank you all.

Update:

@NotATether don uploade di extension for di Chrome Store through em account. Na di official download link be dis from di Chrome Store:
https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/bitcointalk-script/iodemboiknpmnobbpnbjdohjffmhonba

Thank you very much, NotATether.

Update 15-9-2025:
Di Firefox add-on now officially de available for Mozilla Add-ons at :
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/bitcointalk-script/

Update 8-12-2025 Version 3.8:
I make plenty updates for dis version:- First, I add more emoji symbols wey appear when you write post. Dey fit insert simply if click dem, and the emoji display while typing without need to press di "View" button.

Update 25-12-2025 (Version 4.0):
so far di important update don complete, and more are coming soon by Pieq@, so we decided to push the version to 4.0.- Added custom theme manager where people go fit design dere own themes by pasting CSS code into di editor. I add plenty buttons to di theme manager to allow people to save and use themes at any time, do button to set a theme as di default, and buttons to import, export, and deletion.- I remove some themes and change di Bitcoin theme (removing di Bitcoin photo because e dey caused blurriness) and di Dark 2 theme.- Add di reset button to reset themes in case of any wahala or conflicts during runtime.- Fix some bugs wey de cause error messages for di browser.dey get updates wey Pieq@ don complete and will post here later.

Supplement Update 25-12-2025 (Version 4.0):
Finally I don updating di extension finish. Dey get plenty update for di new version:- Modify themes, remove some, and add new ones.- I Add theme specifically for colorblind people.- Removing di "Set as default" button and add di "Edit" button to change di code and name of any theme save.
- adding di photo upload button wey dey uploads picture to di hosting site and take out di BBcode link wit di ability to resize dem.- put di advance Quill editor with advanced features like bold, zoom, colors, horizontal font, quote, code, and alignment directly within do editor, den converte am to BBcode.di biggest update, and di one wey take me di longest, na di advanced Quill editor. The idea come from di @Royal Cap Ultimate Bitcointalk Userscript: Modern Editor + One-Click Image Upload script.

Original topic: How to create your own altcoin (v0.20.1)
Author profile link: BlackHatCoiner

Even though I no dey like  altcoins' philosophy, and I put bitcoin on top everything, I still believe say everybody get right way dem go create their own cryptocurrency because the code na open source. I myself, face plenty wahala before I fit do am. I don create plenty threads before, but finally I don make am.

Anyone wey wan continue reading and e never try do this thing before, e go need windows 10 and patience. If e no get these two things, e no fit make altcoins, at least na that way i go fit use describe am.  The final result go run on window only. Make you know say e dey easy to run am for Linux. But dey bi extra steps, way no necessary for beginner.

First you go need to install an Ubuntu terminal to make lives easier, so you will go to the windows store and download Ubuntu 18.04:

(Once you don open it enter a username and a password)

Now I go follow the steps of build-windows.md from github to install some dependencies.

Make you Copy each line below and run it in the terminal:
Code:
sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade
sudo apt install build-essential libtool autotools-dev automake pkg-config bsdmainutils curl git

Dis fit take some time. After dat, you go clone di bitcoin core source code from GitHub. Soon after "bitcoin git" na him bi the name of the folder way dem go create, and na him still bi the name of the cryptocurrency wey we go create. For dis guide, I go use   common example "altcoin". If you decide to use another name, make sure say you change am for every other part of dis tutorial.

Code:
git clone https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin.git altcoin

Once dey don am, you go need to find the bitcoin core files. They go probably be at:
Code:
C:\Users\<WindowsUsername>\AppData\Local\Packages\CanonicalGroupLimited.Ubuntu18.04onWindows_79rhkp1fndgsc\LocalState\rootfs\home\<UbuntuUsername>

In the "altcoin" folder the files will look like this:

Now, we fit build dem, but the problem bi say we go make a copy of the bitcoin core wey go follow the bitcoin Blockchain, something wey we no dey like at all. We want our own Blockchain. di first thing wey we suppose do na to change where dem write "bitcoin" to "altcoin"(e no necessary, but e go help make things no confuse us).

Run these lines:
Code:
cd altcoin
find . -type f -print0 | xargs -0 sed -i 's/bitcoin/altcoin/g'
find . -type f -print0 | xargs -0 sed -i 's/Bitcoin/Altcoin/g'
find . -type f -print0 | xargs -0 sed -i 's/BTC/ATC/g'
find . -type f -print0 | xargs -0 sed -i 's/BITCOIN/ALTCOIN/g'
find . -type f -print0 | xargs -0 sed -i 's/BitCoin/AltCoin/g'
(It will take some time)

Now dat we don replace everything with cryptocurrency's name, we no fit stop here. we go still change the files'name too. If not, e go dey try find the files wey no dey exist, like "altcoind.cpp".  So to change all the names, run these line.
Code:
cd ..
find altcoin -type d -exec chmod 755 {} \;
cd altcoin
find -iname \*.* | rename -v "s/bitcoin/altcoin/g"

Changes in code

We go like differentiate our blockchain from bitcoin's. Make we start by changing the ports. Go to your files from windows explorer and click on the "src" folder.

In chainparamsbase.cpp change the nRPCPort to whatever you want. I suggest to just change the eight e.g.
Code:
if (chain == CBaseChainParams::MAIN) {
        return MakeUnique<CBaseChainParams>("", 2332, 2334);
    } else if (chain == CBaseChainParams::TESTNET) {
        return MakeUnique<CBaseChainParams>("testnet3", 12332, 12334);
    } else if (chain == CBaseChainParams::SIGNET) {
        return MakeUnique<CBaseChainParams>("signet", 32332, 32334);
    } else if (chain == CBaseChainParams::REGTEST) {
        return MakeUnique<CBaseChainParams>("regtest", 12443, 12445);
    }

Make you do same for the nDefaultPort of chainparams.cpp:
Code:
nDefaultPort = 2333;

Now we go choose a different signature message in pchMessageStart of chainparams.cpp. This na very important step, if e no changed and you connect to a bitcoin node e go consider the bitcoin blockchain as the correct one. Do am like this:
Code:
pchMessageStart[0] = 0xf0;
pchMessageStart[1] = 0xb0;
pchMessageStart[2] = 0xb0;
pchMessageStart[3] = 0xd0;

Optional, but you fit change the address prefix too. (1, 3, bc1)
Link of all prefixes: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/List_of_address_prefixes
In the base58Prefixes of chainparams.cpp I will show an example of the "X" prefix:
Code:
base58Prefixes[PUBKEY_ADDRESS] = std::vector<unsigned char>(1,75);

Also optional, you go fit change the block reward of your currency. For bitcoin e  starts with BTC50 per block.
GetBlockSubsidy at validation.cpp:
Code:
CAmount GetBlockSubsidy(int nHeight, const Consensus::Params& consensusParams)
{
    int halvings = nHeight / consensusParams.nSubsidyHalvingInterval;
    // Force block reward to zero when right shift is undefined.
    if (halvings >= 64)
        return 0;

    CAmount nSubsidy = 50 * COIN;
    // Subsidy is cut in half every 210,000 blocks which will occur approximately every 4 years.
    nSubsidy >>= halvings;
    return nSubsidy;
}

I leave am at 50.

We go set the difficulty equal with 1, since na you go be the only miner at the beginning. At chainparams.cpp change nMinimumChainWork:

Code:
consensus.nMinimumChainWork = uint256S("0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000100010001");

For chainparams.cpp there get some lines way include IP addresses. They don write am so you go automatically connect a node(s) if you don open Bitcoin Core for first time (you go  add node with the addnode "xxx.xxx.xx.xx" add ). So when you find line wey starts with vSeeds.emplace_back delete am. Also, lines wey start with vFixedSeeds make you replaced am with:
Code:
vFixedSeeds.clear();

Make they not any vFixedSeeds wey do something else.

In chainparams.cpp, we go need to change checkpointData to:
Code:
checkpointData = {
            {
                { 0, uint256S("0x0")}
            }
        };

For this tutorial I no go explain how we go  make our own genesis block, because say we wan achieve something wey simple. Anyone who take am more seriously go search and learn how e dey be. Thus, we go need to change value of nMaxTipAge in validation.cpp:

Multiply am it with a big number like 10000.
Code:
int64_t nMaxTipAge = DEFAULT_MAX_TIP_AGE * 10000;

In consensus/consensus.h we go need to change COINBASE_MATURITY which means how "deep" a block go be for the miner before they go spend the reward. For bitcoin eh dey 100, that is, person wey  fo mine 1 block go wait 100 blocks make e spend it's coins. We go  give am any value, I go put am equal with 3:

Code:
static const int COINBASE_MATURITY = 3;

Finally, we go need to change these two lines of chainparams.cpp:
Code:
m_assumed_blockchain_size = 1;
m_assumed_chain_state_size = 1;
(They dey related together with the block height in order for nodes to share information)

Plenty notepads change permissions when we mess with LTS. Na the reason why you go run the following lines:
Code:
cd src
sudo chmod 640 validation.cpp
sudo chmod 640 chainparams.cpp
sudo chmod 640 chainparamsbase.cpp
cd consensus
sudo chmod 640 consensus.h
cd ..
cd ..

Building.

Before we go start we go need to install the mingw-w64 cross-compilation tool chain:
Code:
sudo apt install g++-mingw-w64-x86-64

When everything don finished, we go build am with the following commands:
Code:
PATH=$(echo "$PATH" | sed -e 's/:\/mnt.*//g')
sudo bash -c "echo 0 > /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc/status"
cd depends
make HOST=x86_64-w64-mingw32
cd ..
./autogen.sh
CONFIG_SITE=$PWD/depends/x86_64-w64-mingw32/share/config.site ./configure --prefix=/
make
(It may take more than an hour)

The files wey go open the new Altcoin Core dey here  altcoin/src/qt:

You go fit start mining by clicking window -> console -> generatetoaddress 1 <address_here> <maxtries>. On <maxtries> make you enter something like 1000000000, If no bi so, e no likely say you go fit mine any block. You fit change the bitcoin core images if we change dem from the beginning before we start to build.

Na so e be, now you don create your own coin, but more importantly, your own Blockchain. Make I tell you, na only for learning purpose e be. You no fit expect say you go be the new Satoshi Nakamoto, or say your coins go get value.

And that's because: There is only one Bitcoin.

Translated Topic in Pidgin Language; 🔥🔥 Complete GUIDE for Lightning Desktop Nodes
Original Topic: 🔥🔥 Complete GUIDE for Lightning Desktop Nodes
Author: Satofan44

As I dey try to participate for NotATether's Lightning challenge, na from dere I get motivation which I decide to undertake for dis big project. I know say dey get plenty guides online, documentation and everything but for my experience as i dey try to set up lightning shows dem get issues. Sometimes information no dey, sometimes dey get errors or sometimes instructions don dey expire, and other times dem dey come with different assumptions based on dere knowledge which no dem no get proof or dey helpful.

My focus na for desktop wallets, for mobile wallets normally e no need guides or need minimum setup. If you get any wahala for di mobile application, contact di developer wey do am. Probably na di specific device and OS version configuration dey cause am. Dis na di experimental break-down for every wallet wey I don attempt to install. Di guide go also focus to provide information for Linux Ubuntu dey use latest information. If someone else wan repeat dis process for your own OS, you dey welcome to contribute with dat information. If you get suggestions or feedback, make u feel free to post dem for here or you fit DM me directly.  Smiley

Important Reminders
  • Some attempts fit no work out, because na di case wey I face first as I to try use Eclair. But dat no mean say di guide no dey valuable, failure dey part of di journey. As we dey figure things out, I go deu update di guide accordingly. Dey go also be FAQ section wey we go need well. My own experience be say, if you dey look up to information sometimes because of errors dey results with no useful information.
  • sometimes basic Linux knowledge dey require and expected. If you dey new to Linux, make sure say  you dey comfortable with di tasks like to move directories, using di terminal, and more. If you no de sure, check out di guide like dis one: https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/30-days-of-linux/. For those wey get di GUI, you go get di easy time just use am for basic operations instead of the commands but you dey welcome to try and learn am.

Part 1: Prerequisites and Installation

Di list for LN wallets dem dey part of dis guide:

Operating System: Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, desktop or server.
Probably any Ubuntu/Debian derivative go work, but I no fit guarantee dat. You dey free to try am. To limit di repeat of nformation, you go provide short-guide for Bitcoin Core for dis section.

1. User Account Setup:
For security reasons, make you no run anything as root. E recommend to create di new user account. I go recommend say you read more about dis here: https://dev.to/despider/why-not-to-use-root-user-317a.
For dis guide, we go need create user call lightning and work under am. Open di terminal and run di commands for each step for di order wey dem provide. Commands dey always show for di code blocks.

1. Create user call lightning. Dem go ask you to set di password. For di remaining information wey dem ask you to input, you no need to enter anything.
Code:
sudo adduser lightning
sudo usermod -aG sudo lightning
2. You go use dis command to work use dis user account.
Code:
su lightning

2. Bitcoin Core Setup:
1. Download di new release from here: https://bitcoincore.org/en/download/. At the time wey you dey write dis na v29.0. for some situations where Ubuntu normally use, you go need di file wey link as Linux (tgz). Note: If you wan do another verification for di download, di instructions for plenty operating systems dey for di same link. I no go reproduce dem here. I go work for di/home/ folder but you fit work for any location of your preference. For dis step, the command go move to di user's home folder, download Bitcoin Core and comot am.
Code:
cd /home/lightning/
wget https://bitcoincore.org/bin/bitcoin-core-29.0/bitcoin-29.0-x86_64-linux-gnu.tar.gz
tar -xvf bitcoin-29.0-x86_64-linux-gnu.tar.gz
2. To be able to start bitcoind and bitcoin-cli from anywhere, e go need to be move to di new location. We do dis under /home/lightning/.bin and load di configuration from .profile using di source command to make am work. You go need to use di source command to load di configuration for each new terminal wey you open (if dem be non login terminals like you go get when you dey use Ubuntu Desktop).
Code:
mkdir /home/lightning/bin
mv /home/lightning/bitcoin-29.0/bin/bitcoin-cli /home/lightning/bin
mv /home/lightning/bitcoin-29.0/bin/bitcoind /home/lightning/bin
source /home/lightning/.profile
3. Di default data directory na ~/.bitcoin which for our case na /home/lightning/.bitcoin. To keep things easier we go also use dis location. You fit change am and specify --datadir if you want. For dis step, we create di directory, di bitcoin.conf files and specify di need configurations. I go use nano as di text editor because e dey more user friendly.
Code:
mkdir /home/lightning/.bitcoin
nano /home/lightning/.bitcoin/bitcoin.conf
Use di following configuration options and make sure say you specify your own RPC username and password.
Quote
daemon=1
server=1
txindex=1
wallet=firstwallet
rpcuser=yourusername
rpcpassword=yourpassword

zmqpubrawblock=tcp://127.0.0.1:29000
zmqpubhashblock=tcp://127.0.0.1:29000
zmqpubrawtx=tcp://127.0.0.1:29001
Information for each option use here go provide for di FAQ. Abeg read di 3rd post for dis thread. Note: You go need 750 GB or more disk space to run di full node.

4. If you don do everything correctly di following things go be done: First start bitcoind, and give am few seconds of time to take run properly. Den use bitcoin-cli to create dil new wallet called firstwallet.
Code:
bitcoind
bitcoin-cli createwallet firstwallet
To confirm say you don do dis successfully, you go get answer like dis:
Quote
{
  "name": "firstwallet"
}
Next, di shutdown for di software don do use di -cli and e go start again using di bitcoind. Note: for some system configurations fit de slow, always give bitcoind few seconds before you go run di next command for any code block. If you run di commands too fast after startup na error you go see.
Code:
bitcoin-cli stop
bitcoind
For dis step e no dey necessary like Bitcoin Core wey go automatically load di create wallet  for di current instance, dis provided so dat di configuration file fit be tested. You wan make sure say your wallet go load when you restart di software. To check di current loaded wallets after you don restart am, use di following command:
Code:
bitcoin-cli listwallets
Again, if you get dis answer dat means say you don complete di steps correctly.
Quote
{
  "name": "firstwallet"
}
5. Di final step na to fully synchronize di blockchain. You fit check di status of your node for di following command:
Code:
bitcoin-cli getblockchaininfo
You go receive di answer like dis:
Quote
{
  "chain": "main",
  "blocks": 219242,
  "headers": 895831,
  "bestblockhash": "0000000000000012767dba93bdb63e4a3e0df576e3a2e8439a78c813feb3d792",
  "bits": "1a05a6b1",
  "target": "00000000000005a6b10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000",
  "difficulty": 2968775.332075074,
  "time": 1359805720,
  "mediantime": 1359804704,
"verificationprogress": 0.01017237324622422,
  "initialblockdownload": true,

  "chainwork": "000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000028fe60976baa91803d",
  "size_on_disk": 6124750373,
  "pruned": false,
  "warnings": [
  ]
}
If you see sometin like dis, e mean say you don successfully complete all di steps. Congratulations!  Smiley Di blocks line tell you how many blocks you don synchronized, and di headers tell you di current block number of di Bitcoin blockchain. Another way, you fit also follow di progress with verificationprogress which go need to reach 0.99 or you wait until initialblockdownload don set to false. E dey important to remember say synchronization time no dey linear, so e go tek you 4 hours to reach 25% of di blocks dat no mean say e go take you just 12 more hours to take reach full synchronization.

For dis point, I go advice you say make you take break and let am synchronize. You deserved am.

Eclair
Prerequisites: Bitcoin Core and Adoptium OpenJDK.

Adoptium OpenJDK Setup:
1. For di first step, download di Adoptium JDK from Github: https://github.com/adoptium/temurin21-binaries/releases. Den comot am and move am to /home/lightning/bin. Di version at the time wey u dey write dis guide na 21.0.7+6, so you fit need to adjust di wget command if dey get di new version of it dey required by Eclair. Dis information na source from dis guide, which I follow to successfully install Adoptium for my own systems. You fit consult am if e need more steps by your configuration.
Code:
cd /home/lightning/
wget https://github.com/adoptium/temurin21-binaries/releases/download/jdk-21.0.7%2B6/OpenJDK21U-jdk_x64_linux_hotspot_21.0.7_6.tar.gz
tar -xvf OpenJDK21U-jdk_x64_linux_hotspot_21.*.tar.gz
mv jdk-21.0.7+6 /home/lightning/bin/
2. Export di environment variables to add dem to .bashrc. Using sed, we fit put dis two lines to di file. Next, force di update for .bashrc with di source command
Code:
sed -i '$a export JAVA_HOME=/home/lightning/bin/jdk-21.0.7+6' /home/lightning/.bashrc
sed -i '$a export PATH=$PATH:$JAVA_HOME/bin' /home/lightning/
source /home/lightning/.bashrc

3. Verify say di JAVA variables don set properly:
Code:
echo $JAVA_HOME
You should get di response like dis:
Quote
/home/lightning/bin/jdk-21.0.7+6
4. To set di default JAVA version for di system.
Code:
sudo update-alternatives --install /usr/bin/java java /home/lightning/bin/jdk-21.0.7+6/bin/java 1
sudo update-alternatives --config java
Quote
You go get response similar to dis depending for your system:

Dey get 1 choice for di alternative java (providing /usr/bin/java).

  Selection    Path                        Priority   Status
------------------------------------------------------------
* 0            /home/lightning/jdk-21.0.7+6/bin/java   1         auto mode
  1            /home/lightning/jdk-21.0.7+6/bin/java   1         manual mode

Press <enter> to keep di current choice
  • , or type selection number:
If you get plenty versions of java, select dis one as di default to enter di right number. For dis case select 0. With dis, di requirement don complete and you fit start di Eclair installation process.

Eclair Setup:
1. Download di latest version for eclair-node and comot di files to di separate folder. At di time of writing dis na Eclair v0.12.0 and we go use di folder to locate di/home/lightning/. Only di eclair-cli go move to another location so dat we go fit access am from anywhere.
Code:
cd /home/lightning/
wget https://github.com/ACINQ/eclair/releases/download/v0.12.0/eclair-node-0.12.0-4df8cd0-bin.zip
unzip eclair-node-0.12.0-4df8cd0-bin.zip
mv eclair-node-0.12.0-4df8cd0/bin/eclair-cli /home/lightning/bin
2. Next, create .eclair for di home directory wey dey like to wetin required for Bitcoin Core and create di configuration file named eclair.conf. Di options for bold na di ones you need to edit am. Make sure say your API password dey strong, and that di RPC configuration data matches dat one which you don set up for bitcoin.conf.
Code:
mkdir /home/lightning/.eclair/
nano /home/lightning/.eclair/eclair.conf

Quote
eclair.node-alias=alias
eclair.server.port=9735
eclair.api.enabled=true
eclair.api.port=8080
eclair.api.password=Password
eclair.bitcoind.rpcuser=YourUsernameFromBitcoin.Conf
eclair.bitcoind.rpcpassword=YourPasswordFromBitcoin.Conf
eclair.bitcoind.zmqblock="tcp://127.0.0.1:29000"
eclair.bitcoind.zmqtx="tcp://127.0.0.1:29001"
eclair.bitcoind.wallet=firstwallet
Dis na di minimum working configuration. You fit see plenty plenty configurations and examples here: https://github.com/ACINQ/eclair/blob/master/docs/Configure.md.

3. Next, test dat you fit start di node. You go see no output, which de good. Di test na to just make sure if no errors dey throw. You fit exit am by pressing di CTRL + C.
Code:
/home/lightning/eclair-node-0.12.0-4df8cd0/bin/eclair-node.sh

4. To enable di node to run for di background, di system service needs to be created. To do dis, do systemd file must be create.
Code:
sudo nano /lib/systemd/system/eclair.service
Copy di following block inside eclair.service:
Quote
[Unit]
Description=Eclair Shell Script

[Service]
ExecStart=/home/lightning/eclair-node-0.12.0-4df8cd0/bin/eclair-node.sh

[Install]
WantedBy=multi-user.target
Afterwards, run di following commands to take reload di daemon, enable di service and start am.
Code:
sudo systemctl daemon-reload
sudo systemctl enable eclair.service
sudo systemctl start eclair.service

5. If you don do everything correctly so far, di eclair node suppose dey run by now. To take confirm diis, run di following command:
Code:
eclair-cli getinfo
You go need to enter your Eclair API password, di one you set up for di file eclair.conf. You go get di output wey dey like dis one, which confirms say your node don dey successfully run.

LND
Prerequisites: Bitcoin Core.

1. Download di latest version of LND and Comot do files to di separate folder. At the time of writing dis na lnd v0.18.5-beta and we go use di folder locate for /home again. If you wan to do additional verification for binaries, information is provide directly for di release. As you don already learn how to comot files for last parts of dis guide, plenty operations go do for dis step. Following di information from di documentation, we go move di binaries to di location where do system fit find am.
Code:
cd /home/lightning/
wget https://github.com/lightningnetwork/lnd/releases/download/v0.18.5-beta/lnd-linux-amd64-v0.18.5-beta.tar.gz
tar -xvf lnd-linux-amd64-v0.18.5-beta.tar.gz
mv lnd-linux-amd64-v0.18.5-beta/lnd /home/lightning/bin
mv lnd-linux-amd64-v0.18.5-beta/lncli /home/lightning/bin

2. Before you go start LND, di configuration file must be provide. To do dis, the .lnd folder must be create for /home/lightning/ and di basic configuration must be set for di file lnd.conf. Make sure say your RPC username and password match di ones wey you don set up for Bitcoin Core. Di configuration only includes di basic necessary configurations and di few recommend lines from di documentation. Abeg read dem up if you dey interested for what dey do.
Code:
mkdir /home/lightning/.lnd
nano /home/lightning/.lnd/lnd.conf
Quote
bitcoin.node=bitcoind
bitcoind.rpcuser=YourUsernameFromBitcoin.Conf
bitcoind.rpcpass=YourPasswordFromBitcoin.Conf

bitcoin.mainnet=true

rpcmiddleware.enable=true
db.bolt.auto-compact=true
alias=ChooseNodeName

3. If you don do everything correctly, LND fit start simply by writing lnd for di console. But we go first create di systemctl service to use di provide sample file.
Code:
sudo nano /lib/systemd/system/lnd.service
Copy the following block inside lnd.service:
Quote
[Unit]
Description=Lightning Network Daemon

[Service]

sudo systemctl start lnd.service

4. The final step go involve you to create di wallet, after which go make you to use di lncli. Set a strong password if you wan choose password, di passphrase na optional, and make sure to back up di 24 words.
Code:
lncli createwallet

5. Verify say LND dey run correctly using di getinfo command. Keep in mind say you fit need to unlock your wallet first with lncli unlock.
Code:
lncli getinfo
You go get di answer like dis, I don remove some lines from am, to keep am short:

Core Lightning
Prerequisites: Bitcoin Core.
1. Download di latest version of di lightning and comot di files to di separate folder. At the time wey I dey write dis na v25.02.2 and we go use di folder locate for /home. As you don already learn how to comot files for di last parts of dis guide, plenty operations go be done for dis step. Additionally, libpq-dev must be instal to be able to run this implementation.
Code:
cd /home/lightning/
wget https://github.com/ElementsProject/lightning/releases/download/v25.02.2/clightning-v25.02.2-Ubuntu-24.04-amd64.tar.xz
tar -xvf clightning-v25.02.2-Ubuntu-24.04-amd64.tar.xz
sudo apt-get install libpq-dev libsodium-dev
2. To be able to call the lightningd and lightning-cli from anywhere, for this implementation we will create a symlink as it requires many libraries that come extracted with it.
Code:
ln -s /home/lightning/usr/bin/lightningd /home/lightning/bin
ln -s /home/lightning/usr/bin/lightning-cli /home/lightning/bin
3. You fit now conduct di test-run by invoking the command that follows. Freely exit with CTRL + C when you are ready.
Code:
cd /home/lightning/
lightningd --network=bitcoin --log-level=debug
4. Now add di configuration file so dat lightningd fit run for di background.
Code:
touch /home/lightning/.lightning/debug.log
nano /home/lightning/.lightning/config
Quote
daemon
log-file=/home/lightning/.lightning/debug.log
alias=HelloCoreLightning
5. Invoke lightningd to start your node.
Code:
lightningd
6. Run di test to make sure say e dey work.
Code:
lightning-cli getinfo
You suppose get di answer like dis:

I don use minimal work configuration again, plenty plenty options dey available here: https://docs.corelightning.org/docs/configuration.

Bonus: ThunderHub
ThunderHub na lightning node manager wey go let you manage your LND node through your browser, e no be lightning wallet. You fit only use am if you don instal LND. Dis wan no be mandatory, and e also quite difficult.
Prerequisites: LND, NPM, NodeJS (Version 18 or higher), Git.

1. Check if your system get NPM and Node instal.
Code:
npm -v
node -v
If any of dis or both of dis return command no dey, for dat case you go need to install wetin dey miss.
2. Install NPM and NodeJS and Git.
Code:
sudo apt install npm nodejs git
3. Verify your versions of NPM and Nod to use di commands from step 1.
Code:
npm -v
node -v
4. Download ThunderHub, install am, do di test run.
Code:
git clone https://github.com/apotdevin/thunderhub.git /home/lightning/thunderhub/
cd /home/lightning/thunderhub
npm install
npm run build
5. Create di symbolic link from inside thunderhub to your .lnd folder and verify say e dey dere.
Code:
ln -s /home/lightning/.lnd /home/thunderhub/.lnd
ls -la
Inside di output of di second command you suppose see di line like dis:
Quote
.lnd -> /home/lightning/.lnd
6. Prepare di environment variables. First we go copy di file and den edit am and use nano.
Code:
cp /home/lightning/thunderhub/.env /home/lightning/thunderhub/.env.local
nano .env.local
You fit write di following lines for di beginning of di file. Keep for mind say lines wey start with # dey commented for purpose, ignore dem.
Quote
LOG_LEVEL='debug'
NODE_ENV=production
PORT=3010
ACCOUNT_CONFIG_PATH = '/home/lightning/thunderhub/thubConfig.yaml'
7. Create di YAML account where you go define di account information. The bold field, password, na be di one you go set. Di underlined fields, serverUrl, macaroonPath, certificatePath, dem no need to be change if you don follow my guide. If you don instal LND somewhere else, just locate di correct paths and adjust dis part of di configuration.
Code:
nano /home/lightning/thunderhub/thubConfig.yaml
Quote
masterPassword: 'PASSWORD' # Default password unless defined for account
accounts:
  - name: 'MyThunderHub'
    serverUrl: '127.0.0.1:10009'
    macaroonPath: '/home/lightning/thunderhub/.lnd/data/chain/bitcoin/mainnet/admin.macaroon'
    certificatePath: '/home/lightning/thunderhub/.lnd/tls.cert'
    password: 'passwordHere'
8. Start di ThunderHub to check if e dey work properly.
Code:
cd /home/lightning/thunderhub
npm run start:prod
If e dey work, you suppose see output wey get stuff like dis:
Quote
{
  message: 'Connected to helloLightning(ID)BTC',
  level: 'info',
  timestamp: 'date-time-here'
}
Na so e be. If e dey work, you fit open di browser and move to 127.0.0.1:3010 to check am out. You fit exit am to pressing CTRL + C.
9. For di last step, create di systemctl service so dat ThunderHub go startsl automatically and for di background.
Code:
sudo nano /etc/systemd/system/thunderhub.service
Paste all di following:
Quote
[Unit]
Description=Thunderhub
Wants=lnd.service
After=network.target lnd.service

[Service]
WorkingDirectory=/home/lightning/hunderhub/thunderhub
ExecStart=/usr/bin/npm run start:prod

[Install]
WantedBy=multi-user.target
Reload systemctl, enable and start di service.
Code:
sudo systemctl daemon-reload
sudo systemctl enable thunderhub.service
sudo systemctl start thunderhub.service

Translated Topic in Pidgin Language; Use di hardware wallet with Electrum (Linux)
Original Topic: Using a Hardware Wallet with Electrum (Linux)
Author: Husna QA

For dis thread, I go like to share quick tutorial for how to use hardware wallet with Electrum for Linux.

Setup Used

Hardware wallet: Trezor Model T
OS: Linux Ubuntu 18.04
Wallet software: Electrum

1. Download di Trezor udev Rules

To make di Trezor work properly for Linux, you go need to install di udev rules.
You fit see di official Trezor udev rules for here:
https://github.com/trezor/trezor-common/blob/master/udev/51-trezor.rules

For di other hardware wallets, Abeg refer di official documentation for udev rules.
https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/tree/master/contrib/udev#udev-rules

Save di Raw file, then store for am any folder wey you like.
For dis example, I save am for: Home/Trezor

2. Add udev Rules for di System
Open di Linux Terminal, den go to di folder where you save di file: cd Trezor

Next, run di command as describe for di udev rules documentation to copy di file to /etc/udev/rules.d:

Code:
sudo mv 51-trezor.rules /etc/udev/rules.d

If dem ask you, enter your Linux password.

Note: If your Trezor don already connect, unplug am first, then plug am back.

3. Install Electrum for Linux

For Electrum, for dis example I dey use di AppImage from dis link:
https://download.electrum.org/4.1.5/electrum-4.1.5-x86_64.AppImage

You fit download other versions from Electrum’s official website for here:
https://download.electrum.org/

How to verify di authenticity of Electrum:
[GUIDE] How to Safely Download and Verify Electrum [Guide] - DireWolfM14.

Just run the AppImage as usual.

AppImages fit download and run without installation or di need for root rights.

If everything don set correctly, Electrum suppose see di Trezor automatically.

Na di result be dis:

Note:
For people wey install Electrum from Python sources, you go need to install di require dependencies and Python library wey match di hardware wallet wey u dey use before u configure di udev rules. Abeg refer to di following link for di guide: https://electrum.readthedocs.io/en/latest/hardware-linux.html

Hope say dis go help.

Original topic: [Experiment]How BIP85 Passwords is helping me solve the problem of losing passwd
Author profile link: Forsyth Jones

For the past few years, we don get plenty very important updates on Bitcoin protocol,dem be
BIP32,
Things like BIP39, Segwit, taproot, etc . But the one wey make me happy pass na BIP85 and inside this post I go tell Una why I talk am.

If you wan understand BIP-85 well well, I go advise make you con read my topic with all the possible references wey I find at that time, where I  try my possible best to explain am clearly: How you go backup plenty seeds wey con from one master seed: BIP-85

BIP-85 get one main functions wey plenty wallets wey support am dey use, like generating child seed phrases from your parents seed phrase, apart from that  e  still fit generate  xprivs, private keys, etc. but wetin dey less talk  about be say, through BIP-85, we fit mathematically generate  Base64 characters  wey fit serve as very strong password (depending on how you see am) based on its parent seed phrase and BIP-39 passphrase (if enabled). See it.

One of di few software wey really explore full functionality of BIP-85 na Coldcard (MK4 and Q) and on this page, the iancoleman .html script e only explores the traditional BIP-85 (e no touch di BIP-85 password).

If you wan go straight to di technique's execution, just jump to  the 'How-to'.

Motivation

Well, technically I never dey use am yet, but my grandma dey struggle to remember her digital password, she dey write am down for her notebook, but den e loss am or e take am plenty of time to find am.

So I come downloaded keepassDx on her Android phone,dem created a database for am and put temporary master password (until better idea  come), but she no fit use am because e too complexity for her (considering dat she dey her 70y old and she no dey very very familiar with digital environment).

So I start dey think of password wey go dey balance convenience security and e no go too hard and e still dey safe and make I dey sure say l no go loss am especially if na storing login credentials other than conversational credentials,wey person no fit reset am(like bitcoin wallets, seed phrases,  passphrases, so on).

How-to:

So I don get an idea: I wan  generate a new password derived from one of my seed phrases + BIP39 Passphrase, for this I used the bitcoiner.guide script, like iancoleman, E fit generate am offline and fit save a copy of the .html so go fit run am on any device (mostly offline).

After typing my backup seed phrase + Passphrase BIP39:

I went to BIP85: Deterministic Entropy > Selected the password length (e.g: 15) > and the index number (BIP85 PWD Index) and the result is a random and robust password like this:

Code:
c16VkHrEykNHLln

I con use the password wey BIP-85 generate as the  master password for the KeepassDx database, for KeepassDx Person fit get access to the database with biometrics(na only fingerprint, no be face), like this I don kill two birds with one stone :

She no need to type the password wey BIP-85 generate every time she wan enter, her fingerprint go fit handle access,  if KeepassDx no longer ask for biometrics, she fit try enter am by typing the password, and if she don loses the password, the world no go end there, as long as these ones no lost:

Code:
The parent backup seed phrase;
BIP39 passphrase;
Password Length;
Index.

With access to this information, you fit use the BIP85 Passwords tool wey dey compatible (like this or coldcard) and restore access to the keepass database.

Dis method dey very useful if you dey store Bitcoin wallet passwords, secondary passphrases depending on wetin you wan use am do: password managers, veracrypt and so on. So you no fit lose password .

Na true ,I fit use 12-word mnemonic as keepass password, but dat one na your choice, because e go depends on how paranoia person be, some people dey think say complex password like the one wey BIP-85 generate are more saver, as for me  I dey lean towards passphrases like: chase acoustic lyrics' than complex passwords .
Like I talk am, na just experiment e be but e don helped me solve a  common wahala: dem lose the passwords wey no fit reset by normal way.

Make I stop am here now, e don dey very long, I go continue if anyone wan discuss am, use am small small and adjust am how e go best for you.
