Quite true that Switzerland have not been impressive in their previous games bur I believe today can be different. The Swiss side have been going through a rough patch and have only managed to draw with Portugal last weekend but hope to come out winners on today's game which may prove difficult tho as Sweden look to defend till the end.

Quite true that Switzerland have not been impressive in their previous games bur I believe today can be different. The Swiss side have been going through a rough patch and have only managed to draw with Portugal last weekend but hope to come out winners on today's game which may prove difficult tho as Sweden look to defend till the end.

That's interesting. I don't think the difference between Switzerland and Sweden is that large. Yes, Sweden is of course the better team, but I wouldn't say it's that obvious they're goiyto end up winning.

But you never know, Norway ended up losing eight to zero...

Well the truth is that there is still a huge difference between mens football and womens football in terms of the quality of the different teams. In mens soccer even the small countries are now having a very professional infrastructure to find new talents and to then develop them as best as possible from a pretty early age on. In womens soccer those infrastructures are not as developed or not there at all and afaik a lot of those national players still have to do a regular job besides the football. This is the reason why there is still such a big difference in the quality of the teams even in a tournament like the Euro. That is why we are seeing so many clear results in this tournament.

Netherlands - Portugal was best game of EURO so far. Netherlands took early lead by scoring 2 goals in 16 minutes. Portugal managed to make a comeback and made score 2:2. And then Netherlands took a lead again after amazing Danielle van de Donk goal. It was probably most beautiful goal in tournament so far which let Netherlands to win.

bookmakers sometimes exaggerate the odds a lot, it was not a game in which sweden simply had a big advantage, on the contrary, switzerland even managed to score a goal and they could draw the game

It's nice to notice that women football can now be enjoyed by both genders, not the way it used to be. I was also very impressed with the game although I didn't follow up till the end, but the first half that I saw was very entertaining. After Portugal equalized from two goals, it seemed as though they were going to win the game. Netherlands were lucky not to have conceded any more goals.

The Netherlands and Portugal played in a thrilling match at the Leigh Sports Village Stadium Group C of the Women's European Championship. The Netherlands finally beat Portugal 3-2.
After drawing with their opponents in the last match, both sides entered this match with one point each.
At first, this match looked easy for the Netherlands who scored two goals in the first 20 minutes through headers Egurrola and Van der Gragt and the score was 2 - 1 at halftime. But Portugal came from a goal down to give themselves a chance to win the game, but the Dutch returned to calm and regained the lead over Portugal to secure an important 3-2 win.

The game yesterday was an impressive one no doubt. Even with the odds against Portugal, (7.10) they still fought bravely. At some point in the game I thought it was going to end in 2:2 but Van de donk came and altered the game with an impressive shot which keeper Teixeira couldn't save in the 62nd minutes.
 After several attempts to bring some semblance to the game, Portugal had to accept defeat with three yellow cards trailing them.

Should be an interesting match between France and Belgium. France are clear favourites, but I think Belgium can give them a hard time. But I'm more surprised by the failure in Italian football. Both the men's team and the women's team are showing very poor results. It will be interesting to see how Iceland perform.

If at least 10, judging by the odds of 19 for Switzerland to win, the odds could be like that, and then I would say that it would be a value bet.

I have not watched the match between a Belgium before what are the experience a match of France I think France will defeat Belgium. I know right well that football match all soccer match is all about strategies who their strategic point is higher is better than counterpart is liable to defeat each other. But in this match I hope that my prediction is going to come to existence that france will definitely win Belgium in this match because the system France have been using I believe that yes nothing will make Belgium to escape from them

For today match in group D France and Italy are the favourite although first match Italy were humiliated 5-1 by France but there is a chance to them went to quarterfinal but only if they can beat Iceland today and Belgium in the last match and for France if they can beat Belgium they had a chance to finish at first position because on the last match they only will play against Iceland and regarding bet options because the odds for France were very low so i will thinking to bet over 2.5 goals for that match so let's see whether it is good pick or i will lost my bets

Italy vs Iceland ended 1-1 and Italy was able to draw the game but wasnt able to turn it around,they had a lot of time but now nothing is in their hands and they depend on other teams in the last round of the group plus they need to win so it will be really hard for Italy to pass the group

Although I'm not much interested in women's football, I think France could make a strong showing at the upcoming World Cup. 5 shots in 15 minutes of the first half and one goal scored is a good result.

I'll be checking in on this thread from time to time, there haven't been many replies so far, but perhaps people are afraid to admit they watch women's football.

I admit that I am not someone who often watches women football matches, not because I don't like women football, but so far there are very few sports channels in my country that broadcast league matches or women football competitions in the world, I think it's natural because all this time football is a game that is dominated by men and in my country women  football is not a sport that is too popular, so that making women football competitions like the euro today is not a spectacle that is awaited like as football played by men.

Italy in women football isn't such big power like in men football. If I'm not mistaken, their league turned into fully professional just year or two ago. So, this draw with Iceland isn't surprise at all.
So, seems that in last round we will haveItaly and Belgium fighting for 1st place, Iceland chances against France is close to zero.

They are one of favorites, but that's just group stageand they haven't faced any contenders yet. We will see different football when they will face England, Germany or Spain.

Both the male and female teams of Spain play the same kind of football, where they try to hold possession, move the ball around until they find an open goal to score, this tactics is not always favorable, although beautiful to watch but it doesn't ensure winning especially against teams that are very efficient in attack like the German team. You have to try as much to get a goal at least before you start passing comfortably. Congratulations to the German side on their qualification to quarter finals, they were very impressive in defending their early lead especially Marina hegering who was awarded player of the match. Germany have the potential to get to the finals again if they can continue to improve with every performance.

I saw two teams with two different strategies in this match. Spain is reliant on keeping possession and Germany likes to play fluent fast paced football. If I know anything about football I know that in this day and age fast paced football is better than keeping possession and trying to advance.

Though I have to admit that Spain played well, I don't think all the possession was productive. Spain also had a few chances but they could not convert them into goals. I believe they will have to work on their finishing. Spain has made a lot of mistakes, to be honest, and the first of them came from the goalkeeper.

Most likely, they play so well and have been on a winning streak from what the commentary said, I hope it doesn't get in their head though and they go ahead to underestimate other teams remaining in the competition, because I think winning a competition requires more than just a good set of players.
