Jupityr, Can you tell us how many cases were/are made of the Cardsmiths cards? Also, what's the population of EACH card? That would go a long way in terms of sales, at least in here-where we know exactly what we're dealing with. I can tell you that I've spoke to friends on the phone about these, and it's been brought up about the "Redemption" timeframe, so? Any answers? Thanks for your help. *If no deadline set for redemptions....will it always stay that way? I ask because true collectors will put some box's aside, hoping that they'll increase in value.

Heres some info i found out. The gemstone refractors come in several different ratios, ie. 1-149, 1-99, ect, ect. Those ratios are for each of the 60 base cards. Its been confirmed that makes about 21000 gemstone reflectors. Of course some more rare then others. There should only be 60 Onyx refractor cards. One for each base card. Each base card can come in base, holo, and crystal. Unsure on the meta and cold foil numbers. I absolutely agree that clarity with numbers eventually will be important for secondary market sales.

Not only that, he has multiple sets (2 missing 1-2 cards, and entire set of commons). Kinda weird if you ask me, but maybe he just bought a lot of cards early

People will be trading these cards for decades. Get um while you can

[/quote] Total 1st Edition production run was 2125 cases. Regarding the redemption expiration, at this time there is no set cutoff for redemptions. Most sports card companies limit redemptions to 3 years, but we understand that this is a bit of a different animal. At some point we may do rolling phase outs for each series, but we would give plenty of notice for that to the market. For example, "All Series 1 redemption requests must be received by XX/XX/XXXX" sort of thing. This would be way, way down the road though. J

I have seen fake baseball/ Pokemon/ etc on the market. WE have serious collectors on this forums Art , Coins , list Goes on.

All Currency cards are foil-stamped with the Cardsmiths logo on the back. The foil also has a particular pattern to it.
Cardsmiths cards are also much thicker than most other cards. Even the base cards.
The Gemstone cards in particular are refractor style cards with laminate and UV coating. The serial-numbering and the raised UV gemstone pattern pattern would be nearly impossible to duplicate. I say this because it took us almost 6 months and $10's of thousands of dollars worth of sample runs to figure out how to get the gemstone pattern effect just right.
Ultimately, almost anything can be counterfeited, but we did as much as any company could to ensure that we made them as counterfeit-resistant as possible.
