My suggestion is to scrap Superbru entirely, never been a fan of their scoring and it's just boring overall.

Disagree. I liked Pot B, but personally I want to have Superbru pool too. Maybe not neccessarily Superbru, we can go with Kicktip like in Bundesliga pool. Though, probably prediction pool doesn't fits for knockout tournaments like Champions league, it works better on leagues.
If it would be just Pot B, I'm not sure that I would play because I'm not doing good on such kind of competition, while having Pot A leaves chances for me to win something.

I dont want to register account on some new websites and learn how everything works there.
Superbru might not be perfect but we already use them for so long on many other competition pools.
If we can have two Pots without using any website than this would be acceptable.

So boss, are we having a pool next season? We should all start early paying and testing the new format we heard all about.

About Superbru, I feel like if the pool has no 'Pot B', keep it. But if we have Pot B style, Superbru kinda sux.

But I agree some people just feel familiar with it, and it is an easy way to compete if you suck at Pot B types

Not thrilled about the new format at all, I think it's just 1 step closer to us having a Superleague. UEFA is jumping from 1 mistake into another.

Regarding the pools - yeah, Superbru is convenient but also boring. I really liked the dynamics of Pot B and I'd like this year's pool to be more inclined towards that kind of competition.

I didnt know and I think most of the people dont care much about this early qualification matches, when EURO 2024 matches are in the same time.

I also liked Pot B very much. As we are using Superbru on the other pools as well, it can be quite boring to make predictions there.

We are going to start this season early. I hope that we can get past the pre-qualifiers and qualify for the main stage. Fenerbahçe haven't been able to play in the main stage for a long time.

The prelimination stage I think is determined on what a team achieves in their local league irrespective of how good a team did the previous year.Most teams who play in the prelimination stage depends on what ranking their country is in UEFA and I believe although not sure is solely because of such rating.

While for the pool I think that the last time format was ideal with 2 pots,what can be changed is to make 50-50 each pot regarding the share of prizes and not 70-30 like it was.

Based on the general feeling I'm getting from feedback and responses, I'm thinking we still need to keep Superbru. Personally am bored of it, but I understand the pull factor and familiarity. The 2 pot system seems to work well, it gives more opportunity to win, and in different formats, so perhaps different styles of play.

Pot B will get some tweaks, again dependent on how much time I have -- it does cost some money to develop (or rather, to pay people to develop) so if I somehow end up bare pockets, it might not get too special haha. It will probably be 80% of the prize.

Pot A remains in the spirit of tradition and familiarity, this will only get 20% of the prize.

The hardest bit of all will be securing sponsorship, we've been quite fortunate to get significant support for the past 2 seasons, let's hope we can get more of the same. Value for the sponsor is a point of contention -- if you guys have any ideas about how we could also use this contest to bring more value to the sponsor, please let me know.

Not really. They are all pretty similar to me. Superbru is just convenient and relatively stable/mature. I was more referring to a different format, rather than platform.

There are sites that allow you to customise submissions, they're not sports-focused, but you either have to pay to use it properly, or require hosting etc. I'm willing to host on my shared server (it's been more or less idle for 20 years), but the cost of time and effort is often underestimated.

Unless participants are willing to also foot the bill, there's only so much volunteer work a forum person will or can do.

Hello everyone. It's almost a month to the next edition of UCL in a brand new format. And with the qualifiers underway, we'll soon find out who the teams in the expanded league format will be.

Sponsorship has not been confirmed for the upcoming season, but we're working on it. Meanwhile, the format of this pool competition will also be tweaked slightly -- it may be that we have a single format resembling last season's Pot B, or it will still retain the Superbru format of Pot A, but with a much reduced share of the total prize fund.

All things considered -- there's a lot of pools to join every season, and each season there are more contests, and UCL being the youngest child still does very well to get a lot of participants despite the comparatively limited matches and prize spots -- but the prizes are big, and the prestige of UCL has no peer, am I right?

Nah when it comes to UCL, Real Madrid is way better than any other team. I would love if either Bundesliga or Serie A would become the winner for this season UCL, would prefer it to be Leverkusen

Yeah, I also want that Superbru pot to stay. Not that I didn't liked odds based pot, but honestly, I have zero chances to achieve something there. Anyway, no matter what format will be, will join anyway .

Yes, I’m also happy with the Superbru format, but I also liked Pot B from last season (although I ended up making less than 50% of the picks lol).

P.S. According to bookmakers, City are the favourites, with Real listed as second.

Lol, I know. I was halfhearted joking about Barca of course. We look terrible, missing all our best players, Real are Real. Got Bellingham, Mbappe, no need to talk about everyone else, just amazing.

I also wish it to be Leverkusen, but now we see the new format, gonna be even harder for the weaker teams to get better draws pssshhh believe me Real Madrid is even better position to win again and again.
