Ah, the roulette of penalties, and Arteta went right away to console Eze (I'm never a fan of that kind of nonsense strutting pre-penalties really). Anyway...

... the official results will be announced tomorrow pending one final check on the tables; prizes should be taken care of shortly by Hhampuz/Rollbit, I'll be sending the escrowed fees to them as the sponsors want to do it themselves.

To be honest, quite surprised to see a lack of people trying the 'PSG to win on penalties' for 3 stakes.
I expected a mixture of all these combinations (extra time/penalty win) for maximum stakes.

I went with PSG to win in extra time with 1 stake to get the maximum of 11 points. I watched on as every other option failed and had hoped somehow PSG would want to avoid going to the penalties but, they didn’t play as well as they did in the last 10minutes of regular time. I wanted to go with Dembele to get 2 goals but, that was very unlikely. The cards weren’t coming out as expected, I get it to be the finals but, I had hoped a great deal of defensive strategy would get the cards coming too.

PSG played below expectations to be frank and I’m out of the top 10 at last, way to go.

I thought PSG would win in normal time but as soon as Arsenal scored so early, you knew exactly what game we were going to get.

I’m just glad that the team who wanted to play football ended up winning the trophy.

I can't believe it actually hit. I threw a Hail Mary and it worked, or was it Gabriel who threw that Hail Mary on the last penalty? I'm still amazed that the picks I made helped me get into the paying spots (pending confirmation). I tried to cover multiple outcomes with high odds, hoping one would hit and be enough to get into the top 10. But luckily, both BTTS and draw hit, as well as PSG to lift the trophy after penalties. I'm surprised only two or three of us put a stake on that one — I expected more people would put at least one stake there. Not complaining, though. I'm just excited the football gods smiled on me today, along with the muse that guided me to those choices.

I think I win the round as well, pending confirmation, of course.

Yes, our good frenemy CLS63 discovered a bug, and decided to reveal it on this final day a-la Benitez and his famous list of rants. Fortunately, we discovered his "secret" meddling on deadline cutoff and decided to see what he would do with it. Not to our surprise, he chose to fix all his results, bribing a fake staff we put on duty to change his answers when he saw the ET going to penalties.

Our conscience is clearer than it has ever been. We're actually very proud that you managed to find this exploit... unfortunately the system kept a trace of your original submissions... and awarded you the correct score of 0.

We are still trying to fix the bug, the staff you bribed took the money and ran, leaving behind a false total also for you, but the overall system has ignored it. joker_josue will ... "take care" of this person.

It is very sad to see that you took the mafia cake and tried to cheat but I will always remember that you were just a young kid, who wanted to dream. And we forgive you, we don't even blame you. Mafia's words are so hard to resist.

The final wasn't particularly exciting, but Arsenal's performance was beyond expectations. But they were unlucky this time, and even though they won the Premier League, this defeat still hurts them.

I saw him running away! I chased after him, running for three blocks.
But I managed to catch him and teach him the lesson he deserved. I took longer because he deserved a big lesson!

Well, I think the situation is resolved in the end; the points were there, they just weren't showing up on the board. I apologize for this emotional end to the season.




I have to thank everyone for their understanding throughout this season. But, it was a season where we changed the whole system, and I was learning from you all throughout the season how to make everything work.

In this pre-season, I will review the entire system again and make the necessary improvements to reduce the number of bugs.

Next season, UCLP will be stronger and better!

Same. Penalties have sucked me into a spiral where, to compensate for losses, I have to take greater risks, and this leads to new losses, so, if you count all the penalties, I should have a negative number of points 
I hope next season (if we have one) we'll have new rules again, and this time without any penalties. I suggest everyone continue discussing the rules they'd like to see. Well, in the end it was too much for many of us to make up such a lot of ground. I did put in some high odd picks but none hit, congrats to @el che for breaking into top 10 and winning it with such a great pick. For me I thought, if it reached penalties then Arsenal would win, I thought PSG would maximum win it in Overtime.

Such bad expectations but luckily, it helped me in LMS with an extra point from 2 goals only.

We are not gonna hide our feelings anymore, i dont know who this Mia is but we are all of us supporting him/her/IA whatever it is and also waiting to see saint and buwa making a great last round so they could take out of the podium positions the mafia guy who is right there waiting to steal our money.

We also keep an eye in the other mafia guy who i sitting in 5º position and we dont like to see it.

Looks like one mafia went up and one went down, but in total they made more money on the final round, I have to say its pretty amazing what these guys can achieve after all the bribes.

I'm just trying to be aware of the headache we gives the organizers every season asking them to implement this and that and this is bringing me to a discussion I had with @Trofo yesterday about what we expect from pools and organizers who are doing all of these efforts for free. Like this pool, CMIIW, both @buwaytress and @joker_josue are not getting paid for these things.

I actually do not have any strong opinion. I liked everything the pool did different. Same like BSFL, even if I have opinion, I accept the things there, for example I do not like some sports, and I do not like the timing of the cutoff for BOTH BSFL and CL which for me is a clear disadvantage for Asians but I would not ask the organizers to change it because clearly it suits majority

Discussion about the rules, I don't mind about penalty, I just feel bad that I always thought I'd play it safe, but ended up with the opposite. However, if the organizers want to remove it, that's fine for me.
However, what I really want to keep is the exclusion of Superbru, without Superbru, the poll will remain unique.

This pool ends... A not so exciting final, I thought PSG would surpass my expectations by scoring a lot of goals but only getting a penalty decided the extra round... with a penalty shootout PSG won.

In the last round we couldn't get a point even though there was quite a lot at stake, my mistake was choosing overtime, which should have gotten the trophy after penalties... haha maybe unlucky and too ambitious.

Next season I will still be here, this time it was a bad performance.

So unlucky ending for me... I had 3 stakes on Arsenal to become champions by penalties. I got really excited when the game got extended to that stage also.

But Eze - Gabriel duo cost me a place in top 10. I was going to get 36 points if I'm not mistaken. That'd be enough to carry me back to top 10.

Congratulations Mia - Winning the champions league pool in your debut season is commendable; I've been playing for 3-4 seasons without winning anything. I must confess, this is the most skill based pool on the forum.
