Again we had some crazy results in Champions League, and I didnt have very good predictions this time.
Bodo/Glimt winning against Atl.Madrid is sensational result, and they made it to play-offs!
I could say the same thing for Benfica trashing Real Madrid, and now both teams are in play-offs.

I managed to predict Benfica vs Real Madrid to finish over 5.5 goals (20.4 points), but it ended up being useless because I got Chelsea vs Napoli wrong. I predicted 0–0 for that match and received a −21 points penalty. If I had predicted that game correctly, or if I had not been too greedy, I might have won yellow cap / freebet for this matchday.

Yes, I was looking for outcomes for a free bet and found a few more easy picks: for example, Leverkusen vs. Villarreal at 1.75. Villarreal is already knocked out of the tournament, Leverkusen is playing at home and needs a win to stay in the tournament for sure + to break the down streak. It seems to me that +75% for this one outcome is quite generous. A Real Madrid win at 1.83 is also a good pick, it seems mathematically almost impossible to fall out of the top 8, but Real are in good spirits, and Benfica only have a theoretical chance of getting into the top 24.

Well, one pick was good and two picks was bad. PSV almost almost almost made your bet count, and Real Madrid wow they are the talking point of the whole night, allowing that goal was crazy.

To be more accurate, you actually received -21 points because of your 3 previous penalties So you needed to get something like 30 more points to win yellow cap. I now see penalty as problematic for long term AND short term. I actually got 19 points this round, but because of 2 penalties previously I only scored 1+ point, jeeee sus

I am happy that this week I managed to avoid a brutal -72 points and despite getting only 4.7 points in total for the week I am still happy. I learned now that to avoid penalties it means that you need to stake at least one of the six points to obvious choices and then you will most likely avoid penalties over the long term. I know it is late now to turn things around for me but I took a valuable lesson for next tournament if we will keep the same format which is stick some staked points to obvious results to avoid penalties. I was chasing impossible choices trying to get to first place when in fact by doing so I completely failed during this season.

My total penalty is 3x5=15%, but I thought it only applied to the final score, and anyway, I didn't understand the math. I see that most people also have some kind of strange -20-point penalty. Where does that come from? I don't really follow the tournament table because I could say I've already dropped out of the competition, I'm just curious.

Sorry for second reply here. It's crazy how many people are confused in these latter stages haha. This is the same mechanism as last season, but because of the new display, I understand it causes confusion.

1. Please ignore the penalty point calculation in the TOTAL. It is a bug. josue_joker can't be arsed to fix it just yet. I will summarise the bugs once more in OP and hopefully clear things up.

2. Penalty applies to your total score so you are correct: 3x 5 =15% on your total score. Your current matchday score is part of the total...

3. Count all your individual matchday scores and total them, then apply 15%, you will see your total is correct.

As i said yesterday and now is confirmed, not a bad round but not the kind of round i need to start to climb some positions in the leaderboard, with only 15 points im not gonna go so far, i need a much bigger haul of points per round to climb into the top 10.

Goalkeeper goal on 90+8 minute is probably craziest possible way to clinch spot in playoffs. And Benfica not got last 24 place on final seconds, but at the same time they eliminated Real from Top 8.
Barca made me to worry in 1st half, but 2nd half was completely different and from P15 we went up to P5.
Qarabag was destroyed at Anfield, but despite it they stiill qualified. Before season nobody didn't saw it happening. Same about Bodo/Glimt - looks that they can win no only at home as they have done it in Madrid against Atletico yesterday.
Meanwhile clubs like Napoli, Marseille or Athletic ended their seasons already after group stage.
BTW, great round for me, now got up to 4th place, what is much better than expected. But in playoffs thing will get much more difficult.

One penalty at early rounds are good enough to forfeit our chances on getting the prizes because it reduces our points each rounds after that. You would have gotten the free bets if you didnt have any penalty because you had 44 points on MD8 before the penalty cut
