Gentlemen, surprise, surprise, but picks for Matchday 6 are now available for selection!

Be aware, kickoff time is extra early next week (Tuesday, 3.30pm forum time) because of timezones and that the first match takes place in cold and distant Almaty. I've tried something a little different this time with a Goalscorers market, and using probability formulas to give odds on some unusual matchups. Curious to see if this market will have any takers. I've added a small 5%-10% odds boost (based on Rollbit goalscorer odds) to some selections so you know there'll be a nice edge if you pick these. For the interest of fairness, I won't pick these boosted selections.

This could be the market to expand once we get to the semis and final, let's see.

The time to get some solid points on board or give up is gradually approaching and after getting my second penalty of the season in the last round, I think there might not be too many chances left for me if I'm want make a run for the top spots.

Maybe it's time to back some of those 6-8 or double digits odds, there is nothing left to lose, but everything to play for.

I don't see why you shouldn't pick the boosted selections. What difference does it make when in the end you are getting it wrong anyway? ;

Thanks for the heads up about that time though, could have missed that one easily. This is probably the only pool where I can at least still see the top from the distance. Just checked the leaderboard and this penalty could have a major impact for those who have to deal with it.

Since @Jayce is at the top now, what is the penalty again that will hit him now per round assuming it remains one penalty only? The -16.00 points is pretty painful. This time taking too much risk comes with an actual burden. Consistency is probably more key than getting a few
big ones while receiving two penalties.

The penalty is always 5%. So whatever points you have, 5% is gone. So it will always hit the top guy hardest, so it kinda makes sense in a way to keep the lead with safe picks while others like me keep making dumb picks and getting penalty.

I think the past few seasons always saw the winner and top guys having 0 penalties.

So the penalty I guess works as deterrent for YOLO.

I haven't checked the options yet, but if the opportunity arises, I'll bet on Real Madrid with a -2 or -3 handicap or a high total for the Real vs. City game. City is a regular victim for Real Madrid, and I think Real Madrid has somewhat exhausted its recent unluck series, so the luck should swing in the other direction.
Wow, I just saw that Inter are playing Liverpool in Milan, the central game of the round given the current circumstances!

I am still close to the top so not too pessimistic. A Christmas miracle would be nice though.

Don't worry. Every big club goes through such things. Its a mark of success. Sometimes it never is the same for us fans. I admit being a Barca fan for the past 10 years is very horrendous, and I think I never get back the same feeling of excitement. It was all because of money. And Liverpool sadly it has now happened. But there is a chance for it to get back on track, because this is just 1 moment, 1 player, 1 coach, and you are still in good Champions League spots.

GL, I always respect teams that played good football and LFC is one of them.

Tragically Bitcoin started crashing in price same time Liverpool started dropping bad results too. There's some bit of weird connections between those two I guess

But it is quite possible that Salah will leave the team first, and then Slot, and this will happen with a much shorter time difference than in the case of Ten Hag and Ronaldo.
I have no questions about Salah's legacy at Liverpool, but he has been known to get hysterical even when Klopp substituted him mid-game. He proved too tender to accept the fact that past achievements do not guarantee a place in the starting lineup. An unpleasant situation.

I read your opinion about Slot, but what do you think about whole this situation with Salah?

Just to say about the penalty, yes, that's correct. 5% penalty PER round incurred, and across TOTAL points. You can read the rules to get the full picture.

LFC_Bitcoin, don't worry, Liverpool had a great decade, and we decided to invoke Roy Hodgson 2.0. One must go through fire and suffering to truly appreciate the highs of conquest. I do wish this didn't come from Salah though.

Submitted and since Im so far from top 3 with 2 penalties so far, there is really no reason for me to play it safe. Gonna gamble 3 points each on two high odds bet, either I make it or I get my 3rd penalty. I was thinking of playing it safe but at this rate, I probably wont make it to top 10 by doing so unless I could get decent points from score prediction but Im pretty bad at those too

This time around I am not going to forget like last round although I need some miracles for every remaining match day in here to be able to keep my hopes up. This pool is beautiful in the sense that compared to all other pools it lets you improvise and it gives you more options and more flexibility during your journey in the game.

I am a fan of all big teams, I don't fancy only single one, I like great football though right now I would love this year that Inter Milan after their disastrous final game where they lost 5-0 like they were an amateur team against PSG, to win now or at least to try again in the final, so far they are in the right way and let's hope it stays like that for them.

It's really no news that Salah have always been a man with a little lady's ego, he's way too sensitive for the kind of super star he is.. He's always been a individual oriented played and an extremely selfish one, I guess you have to be selfish to be as great as he is, but at the same time that doesn't excuse his behavior and body language on the pitch too, he's rather more concerned about himself and the club only comes secondary, he's got a bad attitude, and that doesn't excuse the fact that Arne Slot is also a clueless coach, these are two truths co-existing, I guess it's better for Liverpool fans to see this happening with Salah being in the club, because it would have been a different narration if this deep in Liverpool's form were happening if Salah had left last season.

Perhaps the Slot will be issued after the defeat at the San Siro.
The situation is uncertain, perhaps in the winter transfer Salah will leave soon, there is a possibility that Arab clubs are ready to accept his offer.
Salah became this way because it did not match the initial contract promised but now Arne thinks Salah is no longer good and plays selfishly but this is the fact the club does not lose to 1 player.

I agree. This feels like the most 'beautiful' pool in the sense you can really see the table switch so crazy even with MatchDay7 already here. IIRC I was just doing bottom and bottom and bottom with penalties and suddenly 1 good week and I am fighting for top 10

I'm definitely beginning to experiment now with scores that are not 2-1. In Superbru you have no choice, you must do it or you will fall behind. Here, at least if you smash it you can really pick up big points like some idiot did last week with Perfect Score of PSG lol

Damn, I missed a round 
Thanks for the reminder, but external circumstances have pulled me away from the pools. Well, that means 15x outcomes await me in the next rounds  I'll have to go all-in all the time to even try to win the yellow cap.
It's sad that I'll most likely miss the Inter - Liverpool game, which could be (?) Slot's last.
