Some of their jokes are so deeply rooted in our generation you can normally use them and everybody will understand.

To get (at least a little bit) on topic, the last round of qualifiers starts on Tuesday.
Dinamo's drawn Viking, should have been an easy draw a few years ago but Norwegian football's on the rise and I don't see us as favorites at all.

Other than that, Fener - Lyon seems to be the most interesting game. The League path winner goes to Pot 3 for the draw.

Hey buwaman can we get official confirmation when first round is starting,and what is deadline for sending participation fees?
I see there are champions league matches player next week, but I think this is not group stage yet, but only play-off round.
There is no chance I am going to miss this competition, and this season I am going to win this time and become rich like the Trotters   

First round starts with the first group phase match (schedule is on OP), and for me, deadline is that same date: 8 September. I'll probably take a commitment to pay, as I've done every season, but I'll limit it to people I can absolutely trust as I really don't like chasing people for fees haha.

I have been around the world, and I like the original British humor, so I watched other series also like The Fast Show, you might remember them.
Now that you said about The Trotters I am thinking of choosing that as inspiration for my Champions League club in other Mafia pool  
Once I become less lazy I will win this competition with easy.

Guys, today Champions league playoff round games and we will hear CL anthem for the first time this year:
Levski - AEK
Fenerbache - Lyon
And Dinamo Zagreb - Viking.
Most interesting game is Fenerbache - Lyon, looks that even bookmakers reate chances for both teams to reach group stage almost equally. Very difficult to predict something, maybe I just will go with BTTS tonight.
Put some money Dinamo, while I see value in AEK ML, but still haven't decided.

How is it buying Mason Greenwood and those other top players is building a team for tomorrow? No they built it for today,,, but give it a chance, new players hardly play well right away.

Lyon are themselves constantly rebuilding,,, I personally want them to progress but the problem is they will be beaten by all the teams in Group Phase.

Many years ago I can't remember now maybe @buway remembers we were on the same thread or chat, talking to some sportsbook and they said 100% it was was the many small bets, volume over size is what they preffered right? And IIRC they even after taking into account tx costs of all the withdrawals and btc inputs they still said it was the turnover that they preferred, because whale bet is considered a big variant and less useful to predict their bankroll balance.

I don't recall being in any sportsbook with you. We were in a lot of dice sites plus Moneypot, and I do remember 999 discussing this openly on more than 1 occassion, and they were 100% in favour of the billions of bets on 1 satoshi rather than 1 big 1 BTC guy. I wonder if everyone remembers their PIN? I was able to remember mine because it's very simple, but I'm not sure if all others can, as the old version of the site (for which the PIN was saved in the browser) is no longer available, as far as I understand.
Well, my PIN is working, so I'll continue doing nothing and preparing for the season. It's strange that there are so few registered participants - even in La Liga there are already 15. I hope we get a serious number of participants, I don't want to win an easy tournament

About low number of participants, I would relate it that there is still plenty of time until start of CL group phase.

Nothing new - Fenerbahche is full of big names with expectations that they will bring club back to glory, while Lyon is full of relatively young players.

Still remember... save in notes and the browser still saves it, if they really forget to just look in the email because the first registration time the PIN code is sent to the email.

Browser usually saved it but just in case if you guys suddenly clear out your browser cookies / history, saving it on bookmarks is another option.

I wrote about this already in the past, this seems like a good time to remind people of an alternative like this rather than forgetting about it later. Bookmarks are pretty underrated on saving things like this

I didn't remember it but I saved it in my browser bookmark and it still worked. This is the method @arallmuus recommended like 2 seasons ago and even though I could not save it like that I created by own bookmark in a google account that I can sign in from anywhere.

Indeed very strange that this pool has the lowest registrations, it didn't make sense to me last season as well more Premier League players than Champions League. How does this make sense?

I will also pay on September when group league start. I am sure most people including me now are on holidays until the end of August and for the moment maybe forgot about pools. September gets us all back to work and to school so it is only natural to believe most people will be more active and join the pools available. We have to check the last return leg of play off qualifiers next week to see who will be making it to the group stages.
