For Chelsea this can be a dream to beat Real Madrid in this situation both teams, currently, we know Real Madrid is in a good situation after they won the El Clasico and had a perfect performance there against Barcelona while they had players like Benzema shining at this match, while Chslea just started working with Lampard and comparing to Ancelotti he doesn't have enough experience to win this game.

I mean Chelsea has made it into the quarterfinals after all. They have beaten Borussia Dortmund and that overall win agains them was definitely deserved in both legs taken together. I think the players might be demoralized in the Premier League because there isn't really anything to play for anymore. It is possible that we are going to see a totally new face of the entire squad when they know what is on the line and they are playing against one of the best teams in the world. There are no excuses anymore when you are heads up with Real Madrid in the Champions League. They don't want to be embarrassed and these games against Real are a big chance for them to give back to all their fans after a catastrophic season. For me FC Chelsea was always the favorite in the match up against Borussia Dortmund. I know that many people thought, that Dortmund would be the favorite because they had only wins up to that point in the second part of the season and FC Chelsea was doing not so well at the same time, but if you have looked a little more closely into the performances of Dortmund, then it was pretty obvious, that they had a lot of luck to win all their games back then. They could have easily lost a few of those games or made a draw because they were not the better team all the time.
It also was the same in the first leg against Chelsea where Dortmund only won with 1-0 because they were extremely lucky and Chelsea was not efficient at all with their chances.
This time though i think that Real Madrid is definitely the favorit against Chelsea but the blues definitely also have a chance to advance. For me it is like 60:40 for Real.

If you really watched the match you will understand that Chelsea played a good football but luck was on Dortmund side, when they were able to counter Chelsea and got a goal, during the second leg they came for a draw thereafter Chelsea got a goal, Dortmund players started playing rough football especially Emer Can who was supposed to be booked twice, Chelsea didn't give them a chance until the injury time when Dortmund  had most possessions, even at Chelsea worst you won't write them off, the match between Chelsea and Real Madrid is a 50/50 for both side.

Jackl87, Chelsea is certainly not going to win against Real Madrid. My reason for that is Chelsea is currently not performing well at all. And we all know how well Real Madrid can perform in Champions League matches. So I do not think Chelsea will actually be able to beat Real Madrid in the Champions League. I agree that Chelsea is having some sort of trouble that is beyond the manager. There is a feeling in the club that makes everyone upset with whatever they have and they lost hope that they could ever be good. They need a manager that is not just a tactician, that's not going to cut it because tactics is not the main reason why they lost. They need someone who can bring the best out of the players and make them feel hopeful about the future again.

I mean if Ted Lasso was real, I would say that they really need him to begin with and that would be awesome, because they can get the tactics from some assistant manager, they need someone who could make everyone want to win again and play the best football they know they can play.

Instead of Chelsea having to focus on the Champions League to win, I even think they are better off focusing on fixing a situation that is currently really bad. Indeed, I understand that they also want to prove that they can still play well and can qualify by beating Real Madrid, but with what they have shown, will that come true? i don't think that will happen.
