City have yet to win a title, but they could and should have won 2 or maybe 3. Had a lot of bad luck in certain matches and they also had a lesser day in the so far only final against Chelsea. But what would stand in the way of a 1st title at the moment? The most difficult hurdle, Real Madrid, was easily taken and only in Madrid did they have a hard time in the first half, but that 1-1 was still an important equalizer. It will also be another confrontation between compatriots Lukaku and de Bruyne, always nice to see that. I feel like the finale this season is much later than the past and normal months. Now it is June.

There was a sweet taste to City's win, as Real Madrid were responsible for knocking out Manchester City last year. This year you only have Inter Milan left. Normally no match for Manchester City, but what is normal? Way back in 2011 we saw Bayern Munchen at home in the final against Chelsea, and that too was 1-0 until the last minute and then Chelsea won on penalties. Inter is therefore certainly not without a chance. Haaland is a big threat, but Lukaku is also a very good striker for Inter.

Halland was not ineffective in both legs. Maybe he was ineffective in the first leg but not in the second leg. Pep Guadiola deployed Halland in a way that he would be a decoy. He knew that all eyes would be in Halland so he allowed all focus to be on Halland while B. Silva and Jack Grealish ran the wing. And when Benardo drifts to the midfield, De Bruyne drifts to the wing a bit. . The tactical approach of the game was too top notch from Pep. The midfield was swimming with Manchester City players, Madrid had no way to deal with it. Cavaljar and Cammavinga couldn't stop Grealish and Silva. There were too much City players up front and Madrid didn't know how to close them up. De Bruyne, Gundu, Stones, Halland, Silva, Grealish we're all in and around the Madrid's 18 yard box. Pep Guardiola is a genius coach as far as I know. He knows where his players' weaknesses and strengths are and how opposing players treat their players. Haaland was a target man at Manchester City and was most recognized for his record of goals scored against his opponents. So it's only natural that Real Madrid defenders focus on adopting man to man or marking zones when Haaland makes a move. Every time Real Madrid released Haaland, Haaland found good chance to goals, but always failed to score because Courtois was able to save. Pep Guardiola's strategic approach was able to outwit Real Madrid which basically made Ancelotti fail in the tactical competition. Ancelotti, who at first was very optimistic about the strength of his team but looked lethargic when he had to accept a 4-0 defeat without reply. And in the Champions League we are aware that luck plays a big role whether a coach is able to collect a lot of titles or not. Of course it is meaningful is a coach has several titles or not after being a coach for decades, but when you compare Zidane to Guardiola, do the three titles that Zidane holds also make him the better coach? I would say that is not the case. When Real Madrid won the three titles in a row there was also luck involved. But don't get me wrong because I am not saying that only luck made them win the title, but sometimes there are days and weeks and years that go in your favor and sometimes it does not happen that way. Looking at how the team is playing and what they have achieved so far in this season in all competitions, it is now about time for Guardiola to close the gap to Zidane and Ancelotti.

I just can't remember in recent years that a team was as dominant in the CL as Manchester City is now. This sometimes resembles the total football that was previously invented by the Dutch national team. Inter Milan must approach the final smartly and not attack blindly. City occasionally has some lesser moments. Fair is fair, it is also waiting for City to win the CL once. City's odds at the start of the tournament, has anyone actually checked? I didn't expect Inter to reach the final. Too bad Napoli is not there, then we would have had a really great final.

You forgot that Pep actually improved Manchester City defense system a lot in this season. In his previous clubs, defense is most common and biggest weaknesses of his clubs but in this season, it will be not easy for Inter Milan to score goal from their counter attacks against Manchester City in the final match. Apparently, it will be big test for defense systems of both clubs in the final and maybe Inter Milan will have more challenge from Manchester City that probably will have more ball possession. In Premier League Manchester City only got 31 conceded goals after 35 matches and they have best defense there. I really like the 3-2-4-1 formation that Pep Guardiola usually uses when facing tough opponents, their midfield has become very sturdy so their defense looks very difficult to penetrate but inter also used a 3-5-2 formation against milan and I'm sure they will use this strategy again in the match against man city, it looks like these two teams will play defensively imo

Pep Guardiola's strategic approach was able to outwit Real Madrid which basically made Ancelotti fail in the tactical competition. Ancelotti, who at first was very optimistic about the strength of his team but looked lethargic when he had to accept a 4-0 defeat without reply.
Real Madrid has just be poor that's the fact, I said it here after Real Madrid won my club (Chelsea) that they can't defeat Manchester city. I watch them play and saw nothing in their style of play. The only reason Chelsea didn't win them was because they lacked goal scorers that are in form but they played them well. I watch Chelsea play Real Madrid and it wasn't looking like a side that is having a bad season. Imagine the worst Chelsea said in 20 years and you could only score them two goals in each leg. Chelsea missed lots of chances and I said Manchester city won't make same mistakes and Manchester city will outplayed Real Madrid and still win them and that's exactly what happened. Secondly Ancelotti made some coaching mistakes in the second leg, why will he bench Rudiger after the performance he had against Manchester city in the first leg. Rudiger is a key figure in defense as his presence alone can motivation or ginger other players to be on their A game. It wasn't fair to Rudiger and he (Ancelotti) got punished for that mistake. If I'm not mistaking the defender that was used instead of Rudiger scored an own goal. Also Rodrygo to me isn't a first half player especially in the champions league. My memories of him, is of him coming on from the bench in the second half to score equalizers or winning goals for Real Madrid just as he did in their last season title winning comeback games. Congratulations to Manchester city though as they deserve this final.

This season Manchester City is highly favored to become the UCL Champion. They just need to maintain their slick performance as they showed when they beat Real Madrid. In general, Pep Guardiola was very influential in Manchester City game this season where the tactics of his strategy were able to make Manchester City beat their opponents with big scores. Once again, squad depth is the main option for Manchester City's success this season where Erling Haaland is able to make a difference in the game for Manchester City on the front lines, he even becomes a Sticker who is really thirsty for goals. Yes, as you said, Manchester city first focused on other competitions before they really thought about the Champions League Final.

And of course, the team has also performed really well. I have to say Real Madrid needed to play this a little more cleverly. Because Real Madrid absolutely played just as Manchester City wanted. I also think that Manchester City understood Real Madrid is not going to give Haaland actually any room. So Manchester City used Haaland as a bait and Real Madrid actually got baited so hard. I actually thought Real Madrid would be expecting that. But they actually did not.

Last season Pep had planned to leave with the excuse that he couldn't bring Manchester City to win the Champions League during the several seasons he was in office and had always been his target, but now the opportunity is there so there is no reason to leave. But we know Pep is always looking for a challenge again and again and indeed he often leaves after his goals have been completed and it happened after he had success at Barcelona he went to Munich and after success in the bundesliga he went to Manchester City. it is not impossible that he also left after his success at Manchester City.

Guardiola should already be ready for coming across a defensive-oriented game against themselves from Inter. Because there is no point in Inter's playing with overconfidence against Manchester City. They would just give exactly what their opponent wants. Inter will need to focus on wearing out Manchester City attackers by defending them tightly.
Therefore I'm expecting to see tight defending and counter-attacks from Inter here. Apart from that this won't be the first time Guardiola is against this kind of a team in a Champions League finale. Because of that he should be already building special strategies to break Inter defense as quick as possible. Scoring the first goal in early minutes is the key for Manchester City.

The individual quality of the players and with several tries especially they have also felt the passion of the Champions League final in the previous few seasons this should be something that can indeed be used as a good experience for Manchester City. Now that the trophy is in sight it will be very bad if they leave again like when they lost a few seasons ago in the final. At the moment they have a lot of possibilities for that, it's just a matter of how they can make it happen when they meet Inter later.

You've got a point there. Inter don't look like Manchester City's equal but, they would put up a fight somehow and that is by playing a defensive game, try to draw Manchester City out and then go on the counter attack. Better still, hold the game to a draw till the final whistle goes and then take there chances with a penalty shootout but the question is... Can Inter Milan really withstand the pressure of Manchester City? These guys keeps coming at you and coming at you. They even get worst after managing to get a first goal. It would take all of Inter Milans UCL experience to win this one if they could as, Pep is desperate and this is Manchester City's golden opportunity.

I can't agree with this. The first leg real madrid used rudiger to protect haaland and it was working as haaland feels so difficult to leave from rudiger but in the second match ancelotti was making a mistake by replacing rudiger with militao. In my opinion if haaland's role is not become the main striker again during the second leg but he was paying attentions from a lot of real madrid players. That was also really helpful in making some free spaces for bernardo silva. Ancelotti has ordered its team to focus in KDB and haaland. That's why the ball was always going to the bernardo silva. Haaland's role is not about making the goal but it's about how to give free spaces for his team mates while he has been fully protected by real madrid. I agree that everyone was expecting Haaland to do something because we all know how he can score so easily, and that is something other teams defend against. I think finals will be different, real may have gotten a tactic to stop him but we saw that didn't work because it ended 4-0 so Inter may see that and think maybe it is not about keeping Haaland from getting the ball but loosely marking him. That way you would get him the ball but then you would have players defending him right there, if you reject the ball going to him then there is nothing to do. Plus we need to remember when he did score 5 goals, most of that was like shoots bouncing back from the keeper, he is a great scorer but when city is scoring without him, there is no bounce for him to shoot it in.

Pep Guardiola schooling Ancelotti on the pitch – this is better than a sitcom! You see, Pep is not just a coach, he's a grand chess master, moving his pawns and knights with precision. And who was his queen in this game? Haaland. But guess what, Madrid, he was just a decoy! So, while you were busy shadowing Haaland, Manchester City played you like a violin! Does anyone else find it hilarious how Madrid, in all their glory, fell for the oldest trick in the book? It's like watching a cat chase a laser pointer. Ancelotti, mate, you gotta step up your game! And let's not forget the substitutions. Benching Rudiger? Really, Ancelotti? That was a big no-no, pal! It's like replacing a Rottweiler with a Chihuahua in a dog fight! Oh, the comedy of errors this match was!

Im sure that if guardiola would always be analyzing the strategy that being used by intermilan. Pep never able to beat intermilan. Simeone inzaghi must be going all in the upcoming match against manchester city. It will be a very good thing to see lukaku and martinez will able to get trophy this season. Manchester city is above intermilan in all of aspects that available right now. The problem if this time manchester city must be ready to fight against a strong club from italy.
Intermilan's defensive is not as weak as you think. It has proven that intermilan was always getting good result in UCL after it has become unbeaten. I wanna say that if intermilan is likely to be able to beat manchester city soon. City fans have been crying in porto and will they cry again in turkey?

Halland was not ineffective in both legs. Maybe he was ineffective in the first leg but not in the second leg. Pep Guadiola deployed Halland in a way that he would be a decoy. He knew that all eyes would be in Halland so he allowed all focus to be on Halland while B. Silva and Jack Grealish ran the wing. And when Benardo drifts to the midfield, De Bruyne drifts to the wing a bit. . The tactical approach of the game was too top notch from Pep. Oh, the comedy of errors this match was! I will say Pep has studied Ancelotti and understands how to get rid of him to the finals. Ancelotti underestimated Pep experience as coach for a very long time and should have understood that Pep isn't just a coach but a quality one. I don't think that Ancelotti will learn from his mistake because he might retire or only have one more season for him in his career. He will only be regretting why he came up with such weak strategy that led his team to a great defeat. Assuming Ancelotti won this trophy this season he might just retire with a good end of his career. Pep has proven to the world that he is a man that knows how to win very important games and better than Ancelotti this season.

Manchester City have more high quality players. But that is not a guarantee to make Man City win the Final easily. Because Inter Milan right now is really extraordinary. Especially in their defense which is very disciplined and solid. It is possible that in the final match both teams will find it difficult to score goals. so my estimate in that match will be very minimal goals too. a score of 1-0 or possibly ending on penalties can also occur. Well, Man City has speed in attack and also a pretty good defense. but so is Inter Milan. yesterday's match Inter Milan suffered defeat by Napoli. But Inter Milan did not play all of their core players in that match. but still Inter's defense in that match really amazed me.

I think playing confidently for a team in this case Inter Milan is really needed, it will make their morale better. Do you think they should play desperately? although Manchester City is ahead of everything, that doesn't mean they don't beat a team that has such an advantage. I am aware that Inter Milan's chances are not any bigger than Manchester City's, but they have to stay confident.
