I got married and here my wife think gambling is a bad addiction. And it just wastes money.  So if that money is saved it will further improve their family. And gambling often develops a person's conscience, which causes chaos in the family. So she often tries to stop me from gambling.

When your wife observe that you are just losing at gambling and it has led you to addiction then she tells you to get rid of it. This is basically where you got addicted that is why you have been asked to quit. You couldn't really prove it to her it is a part of your entertainment in any way.

Your wife is right to stop you from gambling because playing gambling can lead to a bad addiction. Therefore, your wife tries to warn you and stop you from gambling because she does not want to see you become addicted to gambling. I agree with what he thinks about saving money instead of gambling because it will be more useful for your family's future. So it's better that you don't play gambling than you get addicted to problems later.

You just happen to be surrounded by conservative types of girls.  In my place, girls are more fond of gambling in public.  You can see them in front of one's house playing card games in public.  They do that almost every day and often times a heated argument occurs due to a player wanting to stay playing even though his bankroll is depleted.  So I think girls have their own characters, and I do not think that female gambler is fewer than males.

Even if someone already knows that you are addicted and ask you to stop, you will likely disagree on them and still continue gambling. We have a responsibility to take care of our parents and give a share of households financing especially when they are retired/ seniors.  Our responsibility isn't only for our future wives and kids but also for caring for our aging parents  So we still can't be gambling all we want unless we prioritized entertainment over our parents. 

A responsible person always balances everything and gives priority to the family member.  Of course, if we are serious with our GF's we always see them as our wife and consider them as our family, so listening to whatever they say is one of our priorities.

For me, it still depends on the situation. I would not stop gambling literally if I know in myself that I am only gambling just for entertainment and I’m only gambling my extra money. Basically no, As long as I know that it doesn't effect our relationship. I know that if you have a partner, Your partner just want's to keep the right things right and avoid future problems with the things that her partner is doing. If your partner is considering gambling as a vice, Vice can make a problem in the future and she just want to avoid it but it will depend on the gambler if he has a proper control in his gambling activity. So I believe that as long as I don't make a trouble with my gambling activities or affects her, I won't stop. I consider gambling as a hobby and I graduated from being an addict so now I am confident that I can make a good decisions toward my gambling activities.

People change over the time and I'm sure if my girlfriend ask me repeatedly to stop my gambling activity. Honestly I might consider in reducing my activities for the sake of mind.
