Erik experimented too much with his strategy as a result it didn't match what he expected, Ronaldo couldn't maximize his chances and he was even caught offside a lot.

Manchester united finding it difficult to play the Spanish teams was not the problem with Manchester United why they lost the match. Manchester United lost the match because of wrong featuring made by Ole because he wants to please everyone in the team. Especially Ronaldo and Maguire. It is obvious that Erik type of football does not fit aged players. Check from Ajax till today, what Erik uses to win his opponents is pressing and suffocating the opponents and old or slow players cannot make it work. Maguire slowed the bad and made defence not to be very confident. Ronaldo himself did not present high because of his age that was why Manchester United lost that match.

Manchester United are actually in good form, but the way they played, Real Sociedad is way ahead of Manchester United right now, but they can do better if they keep up the way they played their last three matches and bench Ronaldo, Maguire, and Casemiro as I don't understand their presence in the league, Maguire Particularly.

Manchester United has played 6 matches all throughout the group stage and still has 1/6 matches to go. I'm curious to see what they'll be showing off this week with the way they were all jumping in training.

@Cookdata I don't think that it is related to Real Sociedad's getting better. Because they weren't dominant against Manchester United in this game. They even got a controversial penalty which helped them win the game by 1-0. It was more related to Manchester United's effort actually. They didn't take this game as seriously as a Premier League game. They wasted so many opportunities. Ronaldo also did this but he was playing in the starting eleven for the second time on one hand. He needs to adapt to a long match tempo again to be more effective.

Most of it was due to the fact that, they underrated the real Sociedad side and didn't give much importance to the Europa with it at its group stage, not to mention that, the group is a relatively easy one. So Ten Hag decided to lift his captain off the bench and give him some playing time which changed much in his winning pattern. Even Cristiano Ronaldo couldn't make a difference and the last thing Ten Hag wants now is any laxity in his team. Every side on the peach needs to be working and with proper marking of which, we all know Ronaldo won't do much to that effect.
He was visible in that game though but, couldn't put the ball in the net.

Premier League can be a league that has more money from television rights and investment from big investors, corporations last 2 decades but about history and total titles achieved, La Liga is bigger. It is fact that we can not deny.

I don't think neither La Liga nor Premier League is better and stronger than the another. They are similar quality league but La Liga has more achievements in both Champions League and Europa League that is another fact. Real Madrid is a best club in Champions League and in Europa League, it's Sevilla from La Liga too.

somehow when these two players played. then the Manchester United game seems to have decreased in quality. I think Man U have not focused on the Premier League and they have huge problems in their team, that's why they are losing in all leagues.
