I am really looking forward to the match between Man United and Barcelona. It's going to be an interesting fixture. They are two teams that are rebuilding and also struggling. At the moment, Barcelona looks more formidable but you never know how things can go. There's kind of like a rivalry between these two teams because most United fans are Madrid's and Ronaldo's fans. while Barcelona fans are generally Messi fans and some are even City fans.
Man United also has a point to prove after kicking Ronaldo out. They would want to show that they can do it without him and that letting him go was not a mistake.

I think that it wouldn't be fair to write off Manchester United so soon in the tournament. Because they won the Europa League before and they qualified for the finale in the 2020/21 season also. Even in the times they play badly in the English Premier League they still manage to do better in the Europa League. Currently I can't say that they are that much bad in their domestic league. But we will see how effective they will maintain both tournaments at the same time.

Above all else, the Barcelona draw is very crucial. It is no different than a finale and the winner will have eliminated one of the title contenders already. I'm supporting Barcelona honestly but I can't fully trust them because of their losses against big teams until now.

The only problem I have with Manchester United is that they are really inconsistent on a regular basis. Then, on top of all of that, they have released Cristiano Ronaldo as well, which is also a big blow to them. Their current situation is that they lack a suitable striker in the squad, and they really need to be able to sign one in this transfer window otherwise they will be in big trouble.

As a matter of fact, it seems as though the next match between Manchester United and Barcelona will somewhat determine who will be the winner of the Europa League this season, as it seems these two seem to be the most likely winners.

Depay should have gone to United, it would have been much much better for him, staying at Barcelona is a mistake for him because he is used as a sub and not a starter whereas United would have probably started him.

Rashford doesn't really have a surprising performance because he was always a good player, I always remember him as being a great scorer and even before Ronaldo came in, dude was the goal scorer for the team, only after having one big injury and being benched because of Ronaldo that people forgot how good he was, now they remember again how good he is. That is why I believe that we should not be really surprised with his good performance this year.

Actually it would be really assertive to say that the winner of the Barcelona - Manchester United matchup will determine the title winner. Because Arsenal are currently the biggest favourite for the Europa League title already. Barcelona and Manchester United follow them right behind according to bookmakers. By the way I still find it pretty weird that Barcelona's odd is 5.50 while it is 5.00 for Arsenal to win this title. It looks like bookmakers don't care about the Manchester United matchup that much. I would have expected that gap to be bigger.

Manchester United's chance to continue in the Europa League is not too low in my opinion. Barcelona had better take this matchup very seriously.

I think that Barcelona has the better chances here but the fact that they are directly fighting with Real Madrid to win the La Liga makes it a bit more difficult for them compared to Manchester United which has no title winning objective and it is impossible for them to win the title in the Premier League.

Barcelona when compared player by player I think has a better quality and normally should qualify further in the Europa League and be a strong contender to win the Europa League but in these encounters you never know how it might go because it is just a 2 game elimination so it can be anyone's game.

Once again I have to say, that Manchester United performed better without Ronaldo. Currently, The Red Devils have entered the top four in their Domestic League. And also I have to say to be fair Ronaldo would be better off playing for another club than having the mental burden of staying with United. Rashford is one of Ten Hag's mainstay players in his squad, Rashford's performance shows that he deserves to be a main starter.

However, Rashford is not really the answer to United's needs in the centre-forward position. like it or not, Ten Hag had to bring in some newcomers, especially pure stickers, to sharpen their front line. We'll see which players Ten Hag will bring in this January. Yes indeed, the rise of Manchester United is purely from the way of coaching Erik ten Hag but still, whether Ronaldo is in the Manchester United squad or not still has a difference. I have some level of trust in Manchester United to defeat Barcelona and knock them out of the Europa league. Manchester United have a history of playing very well against toughest of opponents just as they defeated PSG on several occasions and so far the only team to defeat Arsenal this season in the premier league, same way they will up their game against Barcelona and get the expected result in the game. Barcelona have a star studded squad but it definitely won't be easy competing against Manchester United.

I highly doubt that is true. I mean we are talking about De Jong who has been asked by United at the start of the season and asked a lot, like constantly with higher and higher offers, because Erik Tan Hag really wanted him, and he declined, even when Barcelona wanted to get rid of his high salary, he still rejected and said wanted to stay in Barcelona.

Now after half a season is gone, he suddenly wants to leave to go to United? I really do not think that it will happen, I feel like it is not going to be serious. Maybe these are just rumours and it is not going to happen at all, we should not be expecting it to be possible at all, it is probably a lie.
