My picks for this season potential winners are arsenal and barcelona, juventus and man united performance is unstable the knock out stage is different so i think they will improve so determining if they can win it will have to wait, either way i hope we see good games and may the best win the europa league.

It seems too early to make arsenal and barcelona the favorites to win the european cup this season, i'm not being pessimistic but I think there will be a lot of teams that will indeed focus on the european cup as the ultimate goal even though their performances are currently unstable in the domestic league , juventus and manchester united we can say experiencing a poor performance in the league and maybe losing hope of getting a domestic trophy but that doesn't mean they won't try their best in the European league, right now I even think they will try to focus on the European league trophy as an alternative if they fail to get a place in next season champions league zone.

Each club has the opportunity to win the Europa League this season and regardless of the big name of the club, there will definitely be those who are eliminated later. So arsenal, barcelona, Manchester united and juventus all don't necessarily win this European league title. There are names like Sevilla, Ajax, As Roma and PSV that should be watched out for in this title race, so it's still a long way to go and it's still difficult to determine who will win the European league later.

Arsenal's aim this season is to win the Europa league.They lost just one in the last concluded group stage,and came out ontop of their group.Indeed Mikel Arteta is is building a team capable of winning trophies,and they are proving to everyone that they are capable of winning the league.Arsenal is ontop of the premier league table,topping Manchester city that are in second place  with five points clear.
The Arsenal young lads who are determined to remain ontop of the table will be without their key striker Gabriel Jesus as they resume game by December 26,as they take on West Ham.Nketiah will deputise for him,and hopefully Arsenal wins that game.It won't be bad if Arsenal win both the Europa league and the Premier league.

Barcelona must first beat Manchester United in the play-offs before they advance to the last 16. Their task is very difficult to beat Manchester United. Likewise with Manchester United, they will be very difficult to beat Barcelona in this round. Moreover, we must first see their performance after returning from the World Cup.
Arsenal are promising, but it won't be that easy to win in the end. Moreover, maybe there will be many surprises that we will see from the clubs that compete here. Usually the big teams in the European League often lose to clubs that are not the favourites.

Arsenal want to make double this season actually. They are aiming the Premier League and Europa League titles both now. Because their run in the Premier League also has been very impressive. They just need to keep this motivation level for the rest of the season as well. Their team performance has been really fascinating in both tournaments.

Jesus' injury is a big hit to them maybe but hopefully they will handle the situation well anyway. The team chemistry should stay high and this would still be enough for them to continue winning most of their games one by one.

This year they are at the top of La Liga for now, but Real Madrid is following them like a shadow. They seem like they will take the lead from them at the slightest snag. In the European league, their rivals are the toughest team. They drew the hardest draw and were unlucky in that regard. If they overcome the Manchester United obstacle, they can easily go to the final.

Last year they were pretty good as well, beat Real Madrid 4-0 when they faced after Xavi took over, and just a bit later lost to Frankfurt, that should be good enough reason to think that just because you are doing good in the league, doesn't mean that you will do great in europa or UCL, look at City and PSG, they dominated the league and then lost, look at Bayern and how they lost last year, all in all just because you are doing great in the league doesn't mean other competitions would be great.

All in all I am expecting them to be doing fine, but not going to guarantee anything for them neither, it is going to be easy enough to tell if they will be good or not.

I also think there is  much more significant difference and improvement in the team's performance this season. It was a disaster in the previous season, thanks to Xavi who has managed to revive the team's performance and put them at a better performance level this season. If they can defeat Manchester United in the Europa league playoffs it will be a massive boost to the team's confidence going further.

Do not conclude that Barcelona's strength this season has only been seen in half of the season. But let's see how strong Barcelona will be after this world cup or when La Liga and Europa League restart this season. Because every team still has time this season to make changes for the better and it's still very early to conclude anything for all the teams in the two different competitions.

I don't think with Arsenal and Barcelona only are the team have favorite for Europe League winner because still have Juventus back to consistency performance at last six matches, right now Europe League tittle race most competitive for winning the second competition level on European. Honestly, Arsenal have better quite appearance in this season at domestic league and European League but I doubt can consistency because next round of European League begin on February next years.

Well, I wouldn't really say that Barcelona pass, because I know how Manchester plays, although for now they have a slight advantage over Barcelona because CR7 after his statements did make everything move, and both the managers and the entire team are for sale I think these things shake a team from its roots, these things usually happen when problems are allowed to progress and are not solved immediately, they become that glass of water that overflowed and nothing more could be done.

The Glazer brothers did not know how to lead the team to better progress, many things that the other cklubes advanced, they preferred to profit before betting more on improvement, and these types of teams are like companies, where you should always invest.

Arsenal has been trying to get some names as a backup for him. That's why eddie nketiah being chosen by arsenal as a back up for jesus. Arsenal was also still monitoring pulisic. @Oneandpure even before this injury crisis Arsenal were always planning to spend in the January transfer window, because after quiet a while Arsenal have a shot at winning the premier league and possibly the Europa league too under Arteta management. However Arsenal board will have to pay a premium to recruit player’s in the January transfer window, hence it’ll be really interesting to see how much will they spend or will they totally abandon their plans to buy player’s in the January transfer window.

Without looking at other things, actually new players will be very good. Actually there are still several players who can be pulled forward apart from Nketiah because Martineli can still do it but of course this is still a bit risky because this will affect when the all-round players can be pulled forward but the position is abandoned it will obviously be a risk and there will definitely be a bit the difference if not a pure striker made an option there.
bringing in new players at this time is a set price for Arsenal and they are already prepared for this although they are still not in a rush to look.

If Nketiah is the answer to Arsenal's current needs, I'm sure Arteta won't bother looking into a centre-forward option as a replacement for Gabriel Jesus who is ruled out through injury. as you said, Arsenal could have taken an internal solution by relying on Eddie Nketiah as the main striker. or, rotating Martinelli as a centre-forward. what is certain, Arteta can explore the potential of the available players.

It's just that, since the target is two championship trophies at once. like it or not, Arteta has to bring in several newcomers in the upcoming January transfer window. not only for the Gunners' front line, Arteta also seems to be hunting for several other players to strengthen his squad. the reason is, if Arteta doesn't do it in this winter transfer window. I'm not sure, Arsenal will be able to win one of the championship trophies. be it the Premier League, or the Europa League.

Great draw that Arsenal and Barcelona are linked. I don't remember them ever playing against each other for the Europa League or the Uefa Cup in the past. They have played against each other quite a few times in the CL. I can remember a game that Arsenal came to 0-1 in Barcelona, but in the end Barcelona won 4-1. I also find it difficult to pass judgment on Xavi. Has he done well or not yet? The game is better but he will have to start winning prizes. Last year against Frankfurt they gave away both games.

I would guess that him being injury prone shouldn't matter for a short span of time. They need him until Jesus is back and that means if they could keep him uninjured just until Jesus comes back that should be fine, he could get hurt later on if he has to, but just need him healthy for a few months at tops I think, Jesus should be back after that.

I am guessing they are scrambling around to find a solution to their problem, they are doing so great so far and need to figure out a way to keep being great otherwise they will throw away a whole season where they are doing so greatly, which means it's not going to be that much of an easy thing to replace him.
