After that big loss in the premier league against Liverpool they are looking good and bounced back fast hopefully they can win this match easily. A little worried if the results from the league would have an effect on them but i guess they have already gotten over that match.

It is difficult to say what happened in that match, it seemed to me that at some point they just stopped, admitted defeat and could not do anything else. It is very important to draw the right conclusions from this and try to never let the game out of control again. Manchester United at that moment did not find a leader who would wake up the team. It looks like everything is fine with the team, they scored an early goal and continue to put pressure on Betis.

Real Betis seems difficult to beat Manchester United, but usually La Liga teams are always difficult to beat by any team from the Premier League.
I have no doubt that Manchester United on paper looks better than Real Betis, but after all, Manchester United has definitely not fully recovered after the big disaster in the Premier League against Liverpool.

The first halves of the matches played are over as of now and when we look at it, we see that the first half of all 4 matches ended in a draw. The only match with only one goal is Manchester United-Real Betis. I don't think there will be many goals in the second halves of the matches. Especially the Sevilla-Fenerbahçe match is very open and there may not be any goals.Juventus has to increase the pressure and win no matter what.Likewise, United will increase the pressure.A draw is not a good result for these two teams.

Agreed. Manchester United appeared to be in the better position to win the game but looking at their performance since Real Betis got an equaliser goal, I don't think Manchester United is the favourite to win the game again unless they put up a good performance in the second half.

The game became very tough as soon as Real Betis scored and they almost got the second goal if not for the Manchester United goal-keeper  who has been so good in the game but still having difficulties with ball clearance.

Another disappointing game for Juventus this evening, they are clearly a better team but they can't score a single goal.

Sporting 2 - 2 Arsenal

as expected, this draw was something predictable given that arsenal would not put all their good attackers in this game because they have as priority to win the premier league, and it seems that I was really right about that, and sporting's performance was not a surprise either for me, with this it is clear that everything will depend on whether Arsenal will risk playing with all their best players to win or they will keep these same players and test their luck, we will see in the second leg

Union Berlin 3 - 3 Union

 

I even thought that despite the bad performance of union berlin, they would manage to win this game but it seems they were inconsistent again, they conceded 3 goals and were very close to leaving this game with a defeat, and it's strange, because until a short time ago they were leaders of the budesliga

this was an expected result, Leverkusen is a much better team than Ferencvaros

Prioritising the premier league might be something but, I don't think they drew this game because of that.  Arteta felt good about the squad he presented to do the job but, Sporting CP, aware of Arsenal's exploit took the game to them and they weren't going to let there home fans down.

The game at the moment is Manchester United 1:1 Real Betis. Its been an almost all Manchester United dominance game. I wonder why Real Betis isn't playing like the that frustrated Real Madrid over the weekend. They certainly don't seem so dangerous in this game and Manchester United might as well, end up winning the day. Good enough they managed to score there best chance but, they are yet to sow that they can contain the pressure Manchester United has mounted on the team thus far.

Rashford has just scored a brilliant goal on the 5th minutes of the first half.

Great goal it was indeed, clearly this lad was in the shadows of Cristiano Ronaldo and now that he left these players have been forced to step up their game and they have done so in style.

And for Rashford why does Manchester United still need a striker when they can use Rash as a false striker, our current loaned guy is failing to deliver even the most easy of chances and needs to go.

I can see Manchester united dominating the field and having confidence in the game. Real Betis might equalise this goal in the first half but I think Manchester united is having good opportunities that they are suppose to take advantage of.

You were spot on, Betis came through with a wonderful goal, though I thought VAR would have ruled it out for a handball but it stood and scores are tied 1all..hope United come in strong for the second half.

The bet this time doesn't seem to go well for me because indeed I did 3 bets that I did all fail.

I saw Arsenal not performing at full strength. No Ødegaard, no Jesus (he would become very important in Europe) no Trossard. Nelson started and he has been an influential substitute in playing so far. The refs are terrible, they go down at every opportunity and to be fair they are as good at what they do (cheat) as every other team outside of England is. Arsenal squad is not experienced enough, Arsenal have to settle for a 2-2 draw of course Not the best result but I'm sure Arsenal will win in the Emirates with a better starting lineup.

Sporting 2 - 2 Arsenal

That was a heated game and Sporting were able to put gunners to a draw trap. I don't know if it is a good result or not since the away game will be played in Emirates Stadium and Arsenal will be more aggressive. Sporting have a rare chance to advance if they keep performing that way and push to penalties or a late goal.

Union Berlin 3 - 3 Union

That was a quite surprising result to see. Union Berlin was trying to get a draw 3 times

A good win for Roma and Leverkusen. They could play without much stress in the second leg.
Di Maria scored a goal again in Europa La and Juve is leading with 1 goal. ManU scored another goal and the result is 2-1 vs Betis.

I can say that Arsenal's draw is a disappointing result. They are still huge favorites to progress to the next round, but it means they have to win at home against the Portuguese team. Meanwhile, Man United is on a safe 3-1 lead, but if this stays that way, it is certainly not over for Real Betis, who can then try to win by 2 goals at home. If United could score another goal, it would make a world of difference and United can travel to Spain with a sense of relief. Juventus has a thin 1-0 on the scoreboard, but at least they are ahead.

Arsenal failed to steal aggregate points at home to Sporting and only drew 2-2 until the last minute. The match was very fierce, occasionally the two teams also carried out fast counter attacks and often threatened the goals of each goalkeeper. The results were good enough for Arsenal, but the results were not good for Sporting to secure aggregate points at home. It looks like the second leg will clearly be a win for Arsenal and will qualify for the next round.

Yes, I think that for Arsenal this is almost an ideal result. In any case, in a home game, they would not play to keep the score, so there is no difference in a draw or a win. Sporting CP isn't very hard opponent for Arsenal but it is not possible to win every single game for a team. Arsenal is favorite and they will play in their home ground. I hope Arsenal will be able to win against Sporting CP. Between the match of Manchester United and Real Betis, Manchester United is in good condition and they are also favorite by considering recent performances.

For me the winner of the Europa League is way harder to predict, than the winner of the Champions League. The reason for that is quite simple. For many of the big clubs like Manchester united, Juventus or Arsenal the participation in the Europa League still feels like a burden to them because obviously they would like to play in the Champions League instead and fight for the biggest title in club football there. That is why smaller clubs, that are 100% motivated are having a pretty good chance to make it very far.

I do not think like this.  There are huge differences between small teams and these big teams.  Let's take Juventus as an example.  They have been suspended by 15 points and are currently very unlikely to make it to the Champions league in Serie A.  However, if the European league champions, they will be in the champions league next year.  That's why I'm sure they will be more motivated in the European league.

I think they would be a lot more "motivated" that's true, but just because they are motivated doesn't mean that they will win it neither, there is a good chance they could still lose even if they want to win.

The other teams are not that bad neither, like how do you think Juventus could beat United or Arsenal? They are pretty good teams as well and one of them is leading the premier league table right now, that's not an easy team to beat and even though Juventus could be motivated to win, they may just be not good enough to win which is why I highly doubt that this could work well for them. I hope that we could see a good competition, and not easy win, but I think they will lose.

Agree. People should expect Arsenal to win easily against Sporting because Arsenal performs very well in EPL. But it is Europa League, it is an international league. The leader of the local league can fail to reach the final round in this competition, just look at how Barcelona was eliminated.    Also, it is a home match for Sporting, they have more motivation to play there. However, getting a draw at Sporting home isn't so bad result for Arsenal. At least they were not defeated, so Arsenal will be easier to do an effort to qualify for the next round. Arsenal only needs to win with 1 goal only at home, but they must ensure that Sporting players can't make a single goal.

Regarding Man United, they are leading with 3 goals gap (current score 4-1). I think Man United is safe to qualify for the next round. They performed very well in this competition, I assume they will play in the final round.
