i figure all crypto gambling streamers will go to youtube. but as you know that won't last long.

youtube will do what they do best, censor the biggest channels as soon as they are settled in.

Stunna, can you make a site thats just for crypto gambling streaming?

you would make millions from it.

i love watching slot streamers. its great entertainment.

Don't limit yourself on things you only see for short term only because if there are platform close door towards other things for sure there are other will rise since people are so innovative towards things they can take advantage with. And provably youtube will be another alternative but in future maybe we can see a streaming platform where it will focus on cryptocurrency industry or web3 rather where many people like streamers can take advantage with.

The topic has already been discussed as far as where streamers might go. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5414408.0 Using the search function could have helped you out on the topic.

Regarding Drake (I hear he will be live in 2 weeks or so ), he will probably go to dlive with stake if they do purchase the platform.

You're wrong here, Twitch doesn't ban gambling streamer e.g. Drake because he's gambling on sport betting, not luck based games e.g. slots, roulette, dice etc. The problem is Twitch banning the site e.g. Stake, if Stake separate his casino site and sportsbook site, of course they will can advertise on Twitch.

Youtube is worst than Twitch, so I don't think there's another good platform for Drake except Twitch since the other platforms doesn't popular.

What do you mean exactly with this? If Stake, as a separate entity, goes live on Twitch that is okay? Stake is a gambling entity, and it's not safe from Twitch's ban since they are a gambling platform.

Youtube is worst than Twitch, so I don't think there's another good platform for Drake except Twitch since the other platforms doesn't popular.

For now there aren't any alternatives. Twitch is the best out of there as of now and there's no changing that any time soon. Dlive is a good platform but very few viewers at a time, although I think Drake can pull a lot of viewers since a lot of huge Twitch names in the past managed to pull viewers from Twitch to other live streaming platform (Mixer) in the past with enough hype and advertisement of the switch.

i agree youtube is worse. i'm tired of big tech controlling everything we do.

we need a legit site that only stream gambling. so people who go there know exactly whats there

You can wait for the next announcement because I am sure that they will tell their fan where they will stream. That will not end the show, and even they can become bigger than before. Or perhaps, there are announcements from Twitch related to that banned.

But if Stunna can create a new website streaming to accommodate people who want to promote using live online, that will be a good idea because, yes, that will be a big business they can get.

Is there any official twitch announcement regarding this news? I’m casually watching gambling stream when I have time to watch more after watching my favorite gamer streamer. I doubt having a live platform specific for gambler can compete twitch because twitch is the most preferred streaming site of all viewers unless they can on board popular influencers exclusive on new platform then this might work.

Decentralized streaming site like Theta.tv and Streamcoin so that there will be no more restrictions and censorship from the government,

This is already official since twitch already make an official statement. This is just a rumor before since there’s a discussion here about gambling streamer using money of there viewer on his own bet. This is illegal against twitch terms and conditions which intensify the urge on banning all gambling related streams to protect there user for possible loss due to addiction and scam scheme.

You can read discussion about this here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5414408.0

I figure all crypto gambling streamers will go to youtube. but as you know that won't last long.

youtube will do what they do best, censor the biggest channels as soon as they are settled in.

Stunna, can you make a site that's just for crypto gambling streaming?

I love watching slot streamers. It's great entertainment.

I'm sure that gambling streamers including Drake could still find another opportunity to pursue streaming. The banning of Twitch won't end their journey that easily, especially for many fans and audiences that support them. They will surely be more platforms that would open their doors for gambling streamers. We all know that the innovation of the latest technology is continuous and new platforms are being launched daily. Let's see the possible things that could happen in the coming days.

Basically, people follow the streamers and not the sites like Twitch or YouTube. Without the content being loaded on this platform, these platforms are zero. People will follow the popular streamers no matter on which platform they will stream. If youtube and twitch start a campaign against crypto gambling videos and streamers, these people will move to other platforms and the audience will also move with them.

The reason why you are still able to view and watch streams from gamblers is that the banning hasn't happened yet but after October 18, all or most gambling-related streams especially those from the gambling platform list will be removed.

I doubt, that twitch's reason is about that rumor but rather they want to avoid any future repercussions in case any illicit activities involve gambling, especially on crypto gambling platforms. Also, they've mentioned something about the licensing issue yet there is a crypto casino listed on their ban list that has a license.

Some of the top streamers have threatened to stop gambling streaming on Twitch if they don't shut down the gambling sites. Then they won't be streaming there. Due to which some other sites including Stake.com, Rollbit.com and Duelbits.com have will be banned.

But the agency says it won't ban fantasy sports like sports betting, fantasy football or poker. My question is why Stake.com, Rollbit.com and Duelbits.com will be shut down. Is it just because of the license or is there something else?.

Maybe that will be the best thing to do for now as Twitch will never end it’s show eventually. As for Drake, we aren’t even sure of his future plans so if ever the banning will continue, I guess another door will open for him as Drake is a very influential figure and that he could start seizing another good opportunities fit for him. I just hope another reputable gambling platform will be opening soon.

Odysee is the obvious streaming platform for people that want to livestream without getting cancelled in the future. It's based on LBRY blockchain technology and has been developed since 2016.

YouTube, Twitch and the rest of the deplatforming Big Tech is total cancer. Other centralized solutions are just as cancerous.

Ok, the OP is asking for alternatives,

I know Dlive could be good, and then based on the feedback by other users:

Odysee - https://odysee.com/
Theta.tv - https://www.theta.tv/
Streamcoin

Any one wanted to add any stream sites that they know that possible some Twitch gamblers might move because of the ban?

There are certain games that Twitch won't be allowing streamers to play while on their platform but, it's not generally gamblers that will be out of Twitch.
That's why for streamers, they'll only have to pick another game where they can still stream without compromising and violating Twitch's rules about gambling.
As for Drake, he's got the platform and he'll be big wherever he goes, his audience and followers will go to just to watch him.

Drake will find a way, you just need to follow his social account and get updated.
Twitch is protecting their own reputation and we cannot blame them for doing this. I’m pretty sure streamers wont stop from this and they will look for alternatives, they can easily attract viewers since they are already known for streaming.
Yes, twitch isnt only the streaming platform where people could really make out those streams,it is really just that Twitch was the most popular and now that they are banning most of crypto gambling streamers

then it would really be just common sense that they would really be finding another place where they could really able to stream out.Speaking specifically with Drake then he wont be that dumb on not to find

alternatives but its up to people generally on where they would be flocking in if twitch would be applying this ban.Its not something that should bother them and its true
that they could simply tell their followers or supporters into their channel into that new platform.

I chatted with Scufferzzz. He got almost 32K followers on twitch. But, after the announcement of the Gambling Ban, He and his other friends are planning to move to dlive.tv. To be honest, I never heard of Dlive.tv. Not sure how popular it is. But, Streamers have over 20 days in their hands. So, they will ask their viewers to move there and subscribe to their channel. I don't know about all streamers. A few of them will move to Dlive.

Like I said previously here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5414408.msg60996080#msg60996080
It is the same thing I am still suggesting.

In terms of censorship, YouTube is worst than Twitch.

And to correct OP's narration that twitch is going to ban most crypto gambling streamers, Twitch is actually banning gambling casinos from streaming live on their platform, that is, they are not banning the streamers like particularly, it is the gambling casinos they are banning, and they made no mention of "crypto" in their announcement post, so I believe it is a generalized thing, there are not targeting crypto gambling casinos in particular.

i figure all crypto gambling streamers will go to youtube. but as you know that won't last long.

youtube will do what they do best, censor the biggest channels as soon as they are settled in.

Stunna, can you make a site thats just for crypto gambling streaming?

you would make millions from it.

i love watching slot streamers. its great entertainment.

YouTube is also against these gambling steaming, so this will be hard for all the gambling streamers.
This industry now needs to stop, as no more options left for streaming.
Gambling sites will find other ways to promote their sites, might be youtube videos will be best for their case.
And regarding your request for Stunna, I guess she gonna just simply ignore it, as hosting a streaming platform is very difficult.
Hope this helps you OP.

Why you are assuming that they won't last long in youtube? Are you expecting that youtube is going to do the same as twitch did? No I don't think so because I've seen different contents in youtube and some can even be called inappropriate but they haven't been removed up until now.

Other than youtube, there are other streaming sites out there which are not strict as twitch. They can always use that. They can also create their own streaming platform as you suggested. It will never be a problem for them since they have a lot of money. They can hire a good website developer and then run some promotions. Pretty sure that many top gambling sites or those who got removed from twitch are going to migrate there.

This is why twitch got popular over youtube even though it's also possible to stream live in youtube but thanks for clearing out some things about the op's posts.

If the gambling sites are the only one that is banned, will that means the streamer can choose another casino which aren't in the twitch's banned list? Or maybe they can switch content (not related to gambling) so that their accounts are still going to be usable.

There is no need to quit twitch especially if you already built a good number of fan base there but I think your followers can still follow you wherever sites you migrated. You just need to give them a notice so that they are aware.

^ Yes but I think only those games that are based on luck but not based on skills.
I saw a lot of streamers on Youtube and even on Facebook live but there is no restriction because they have live streams only on tournaments in e-games.
However, Drake would be transferred on dlive.tv or in caffeine.tv that has been there that can be alternate to Twitch.

There are several options suitable and only Stake and their management know what Is the best option for this marketing campaign. However in this specific case they have a very well known VIP. Any platform they will choose its easy they will have a lot of views "by default"

I don't think switching games will be all it needs. The streamer needs to find a sports betting-centric casino or a poker-centric casino based on the announcement, which doesn't tick most casinos since almost all of them have a variety of dice and slot games that Twitch has banned (yes, as long as any casino contains these games, they're not allowed to stream it).

Quote
So, we'll be making a policy update on October 18th to prohibit streaming of gambling sites that include slots, roulette, or dice games that aren't licensed ...

As you said though, Drake just needs to switch platforms but honestly, a loss in the audience is inevitable with that imo.

Who is Drake? Are you talking about the guy, who was begging his followers to give him money so that he could waste that money on gambling?
This basically seems like scamming, if you ask me. Are you concerned about him and his financial situation? Don't worry. He'll be fine.
I simply don't understand this mentality. Why would you give money to a gambler and watch him waste that money on gambling?
Can't you just waste your money gambling by yourself? Grin Giving money to gamblers and watching them gamble online seems like another form of financial "simping". Just like the people, who buy Onlyfans subscriptions in order to watch e-girls.
Perhaps Drake could create an Onlyfans account and stream there. Grin

Someone like Drake can find other ways to promote and I think there will be media that will offer cooperation between them. And even though Twitch is now even stricter on the gambling industry, other streaming websites will still allow gambling, especially if they want to make more money from the gambling business. This will not stop here and the gambling business will continue to promote using other media, especially when they use the internet as the main medium for promotion.

He's fame is not limited only on twitch so there's no problem if twitch ban streaming of gambling activities since for sure he can find more ways just to promote their partnership. Currently we have lots of option to pick and for sure his influence can gather millions of people worldwide so its still a win for him and to stake even though they have been limited on one platform.

However, Drake would be transferred on dlive.tv or in caffeine.tv that has been there that can be alternate to Twitch.
Dlive would be a perfect fit for influencers looking to stream casinos. I think Drake will give birth to a pioneer that other big casinos will follow. The Twitch case can no longer be genociated, the decision is unanimous. But the impact will lead to more streaming casinos, not even deadly. Because the more you are pressed, the more it explodes.

As you said though, Drake just needs to switch platforms but honestly, a loss in the audience is inevitable with that imo.
Maybe for the early stages of watching it will look reduced. But as promotions and prizes go on, I'm sure the audience will be interested in coming. This is where the power of promotion will work hard in attracting outside audiences to new platforms. Usually, as the first promotion on streaming platforms held by casinos, it is always a target.
But so far as posted by Xposed they are still starting live on Twitch about 7 hours ago. It also indicates that there are still possible policies that have not been set by Twitch.

youtube will do what they do best, censor the biggest channels as soon as they are settled in.
Until it won't last long too, they'll for sure censor such things if it deem necessary. I think they will impose policies regarding gambling or one government organization sees that it has harm to the viewers, something like that. I often wonder, many will flock to streaming dApps now that Twitch is censoring gambling related contents. Time for web3 to shine?

Exactly this, people will follow a streamer wherever he/she goes if there are promos and prizes. Maybe people will need time to transfer to some new place, but that will happen sooner or later, and for sure new people will start coming there eventually!

I guess it's crypto, it gave us an alternative, so now we know that we can always find one when we need it! And when you have the cash you can even create that alternative!

I understand both points of it at the same time. Streaming services do not want to get in trouble and that is why they are banning these people and that make sense, because it doesn't worth it, they are making money from them so why would they "want" to ban them? They would love to have them and it would be a lot better for them since it's income that they are rejecting here.

However, they have to, because of the law they are afraid of and I get it. On the other hand, I understand streamers too, they might be gambling but they are earning probably a lot more in return, because they are getting donations and subscriptions what not as a profit for gambling on stream.

When we talk about gambling streamers, are we talking only about streamers who gamble with cryptocurrencies? or about gambling in general? Because I could understand the second policy (ban all) in order to protect sensitive people, but if the only ones affected are crypto gamblers specifically it would be quite hypocritical imho.

It should be about gambling in general IMO, AFAIK there are many non crypto streamers as well out there but I have not read the complete news of this issue.
Is twitch going to ban crypto gambling streamers only or it will be for all including fiat gambling streamers.
Not a fan of twitch as I do not like to watch live gambling stream, so I do not follow the news much.
Anyway, if twitch will ban all of them, it is basically a good moment for those who want to invest their money to create a new livestream platform specifically for gambling.

Youtube seems the most likely alternative, especially if they are able to profit an extra income from adsense. Actually, this kind of content is really popular there already, there are lots of gambling channels of all sizes. I don't see any other unpopular platforms growing soon because streamers were banned from Twitch for posting gambling content. Anyway, streamers making content about sports betting aren't in trouble at Twitch platform, as it will continue being allowed there, just like sports fantasy and poker as well. The only banned content are the traditional gambling games.

Not that really much since the current issue was thrown out because of some certain streamer which is attached on gambling where they do make out some action just basing into that. They would never

intent to go into certain extent where they would be banning everything even not into those correlated with gambling. It would turn out that this platform is never been worth to do such streaming
and other related aspects.
It would be that just normal that they would really be finding another place where they could stream on if ever they get banned or prohibited on some place.
We do still have other choices left.

YouTube went from annoying to really annoying to bad to incredibly bad and is still doing what they can to become worse and worse each month. It's pretty much make-up tutorials, music videos and zero IQ comedy at this point or content that is on it's way to being deplatformed.

Even if YouTube were to allow hosting for gambling content, 0% chance that survives 10 years let alone even 1 year.

You need to base this stuff on hardened blockchain platforms that promote free speech to have any remote chance of longevity.

It's still Drake and he's got solid audience so that's not going to be a problem for him because we're going to see flock going with him wherever he leads them.
As I understand the rule, it's okay to place with the casino that has other banned games as long as you'll only play the allowed ones. That's how I understood it and maybe there are more clarity from what they have with the release of that statement.

But so far as posted by Xposed they are still starting live on Twitch about 7 hours ago. It also indicates that there are still possible policies that have not been set by Twitch.
It is still good fine to stream slots until now. Based from Twitch's announcement, they will implement the new policies on October 18th this year. From the last time I heard about them, I think they said that they will soon announce policies regarding this matter. But in general, all gambling streamers, specifically slots, dice, and roulette streamers can still stream these games until the said date.

I know some content creators on YouTube that solely create contents about gambling for years. Until now they're fine.

What do you mean exactly with this? If Stake, as a separate entity, goes live on Twitch that is okay? Stake is a gambling entity, and it's not safe from Twitch's ban since they are a gambling platform.
What i only understand is Drake's content on Twitch wont get banned only if he use sports betting content on his streams. Since twitch wont ban streams related to fantasy sports, poker and including sports betting.

Also, Stake wont get banned as a platform on Twitch, only the game related content like dice, slot, roulette, etc.

Gambling content, if it's allowed, might get demonetized presently, might get deplatformed eventually. Live streaming of this might be illegal now, or will become illegal eventually.

If you don't see this, you haven't paid attention to the censorship meta of Big Tech the past 6 years.

It becomes more and more abrasive with time. Unless it's celebrity gossip or some sanitized mainstream narrative, it's on it's way to getting banned.

i figure all crypto gambling streamers will go to youtube. but as you know that won't last long.

youtube will do what they do best, censor the biggest channels as soon as they are settled in.

Stunna, can you make a site thats just for crypto gambling streaming?

you would make millions from it.

i love watching slot streamers. its great entertainment.
It will take effect from 18 October 2022. By reason, in an effort to protect users from potential harm. But there are still many solutions by using other similar platforms for the media.

I am something new and I have learned a lot in the casinos, Drake is a very influential character, I think that wherever he goes, he can destroy because he moves masses, he is also very cool and that is what people like, if they say to a network similar to Twitch I'm sure everyone would fly there. Stake is the biggest casino in the forum ? they have a lot of publicity and their site is quite easy to manage, and they sponsor many athletes and soccer teams, that means that their success is great, in duelbits they are also doing things well, and little by little they are having more cvisitors, more players who want to keep coming in and winning.

i figure all crypto gambling streamers will go to youtube. but as you know that won't last long.

youtube will do what they do best, censor the biggest channels as soon as they are settled in.

I doubt that user will migrate to other platform just to follow those gambling streamers. I don't see any platform that has a rich userbase close to twitch. Gambling stream becomes popular on twitch because of there giveaways and tempting jackpot content but those users are gamers that just spend there extra time on watching on gambling. The percentage of viewership of online gambling on twitch is a small portion only to the general viewers.

We need a social media platform that decentralized so that this will not happened again. This same scenario will always repeat if the other platform is still centralized because of the regulators rules for user safety.

Some streamers creates their own website to connect with Twitch, it includes the stream elements feature of Twitch wherein you can also buy from the store of which that particular streamer is offering. Perhaps for these streamers, maybe they can just migrate to their own website if they want to pursue the gambling stream even without Twitch.

SteveWillDoIt was advertising Stake and it had been banned from Youtube (now he's on Rumble). So I think Youtube will also ban other glambing streamers from Stake if they try to migrate there.
Regarding other platforms, I don't think viewers will subscribe to a new platform just to see streamers gambling sponsored money on slots or roulette. People watch them because they stream others things usually. But I don't think many people are interested in channels fully dedicated to gamling.

They may, I didn't know that youtube was also banned, but I believe that it depends on the streamer and what they do to get the viewers. Are you telling me  that drake could stream "anywhere" and I mean literally anywhere and can't find viewers?

Of course he would be able to find some viewers no matter where he streams, I feel like Eddie could do a smaller version of the same thing, of course not as much as Drake but still find some viewers, and that means it is going to be easy to handle. On the other hand, if we are talking about you or me, then it is going to me hard because we wouldn't get a lot of viewers anywhere, so it depends on their fan base, not where they stream.

Am not sure if you are already aware of this, guys, but most twitch streamers started their journey by posting their content on YouTube. Then, they had to switch to another platform because of YouTube's strict policies and they found twitch.
What am trying to say is that twitch became popular because of those people.
If Drake has a big fan base then all he has to do is to find another streaming platform and invite his followers to follow him there.
That platform will become as famous as twitch in no time.

totally agreed on most of the posts here about  that Youtube is more worst than any online platform and I know that even if twitch banned streamer from gambling yet  they will find more accessible and more best way to make luring players.
<snip>
Some streamers creates their own website to connect with Twitch, it includes the stream elements feature of Twitch wherein you can also buy from the store of which that particular streamer is offering. Perhaps for these streamers, maybe they can just migrate to their own website if they want to pursue the gambling stream even without Twitch.
if they are already respected by possible players? then they can just extend their streaming to their own platform but if not? then they need to find other places to perform their business.

I have been saying this since last year that we need a decentralized privacy streaming platform like Youtube based on the blockchain, there won't be any form of censorship and bans, the Youtube platform nearly died off in the past before it survived I don't know why we haven't seen a blockchain-based YouTube like service yet. Twitch isn't that great for content and the majority of the users are from Youtube, both Youtube and Twitch have hate on gambling and only blockchain streaming service can come to the rescue.

Currently some of the restriction also on the youtube of they think it is all against with their terms they will terminate those even though not too much gambling related they immediately remove those kind of contents else the streamers use different platform. for their promotions related to gambling and if they want to include still, they will make a short clip for advertisement and not the entire content of promotions.

For sure finding another platform that is supporting streaming with the gambling is the most ideal thing to do to make sure they can promote at the same time is the gambling casino partnership with them actually right now I can't find out now what they are using because most likely im streaming and watching them with the twitch and Facebook but those highlights only unlike the stream itself.

Even if YouTube were to allow hosting for gambling content, 0% chance that survives 10 years let alone even 1 year.
I know some content creators on YouTube that solely create contents about gambling for years. Until now they're fine.
Even this time im still watching one of my local streamer is living in youtube. In my opinion all of his content never got delete by youtube. I guess youtube was taking action based on the local regulation. This local streamers already doing regular livestream for years.
I don't know what's wrong with it but it seems like that's not a big problem for me personally. I guess this can be seen easily. youtube is not so strict as people said that.

And if those streamers can have followers on their own website, I don't think it will have much effect on them because they can still provide live videos to their followers. And who knows, it could even allow streamers to reach more people to visit their website.

But whatever it is, streamers are sure to find a way out of Twitch's ban so that won't stop them from getting what they want.

As far as I know, Twitch won't really ban crypto streamers and rather will ban content streaming that involves slot, roulettes, and dice games which are streaming from unlicensed casino websites to ensure the safety of the community. They also said that they will strictly impose the ban against the referral links and codes which happen to be rampant in Twitch despite it being prohibited in the platform.

Regarding Drake, surely if ever Twitch will ban his account from streaming there, there would be plenty of platforms he can go to such as his own website (if he has any, since almost every popular personality has one) or in YouTube. They can also build discord community or their own streaming community which his followers can transfer to, to show support for their idol. YouTube might probably the fallback of most of the streamers if ever Twitch will ban everyone from streaming gambling (but I believe they won't). However, YouTube is far worse than Twitch IMO, so if ever, it'll just be a temporary haven for them. Twitch has no additional information about their improved terms of service yet, and we'll soon find out if these streamers will remain in Twitch to stream contents from licensed casinos or not.

We do know that it isnt only Twitch do have those streaming features which there are other ones, it did really just turn out that they are really that popular and that what makes them been preferred

but if you do look around, then you could really see other platforms. If Twitch would already make that ban effective then it would really be just normal that they would really finding another place

which they could make out streams. Its not really that a huge problem but for Twitch itself then it would really be that a significant loss to them but well its their decision.

Twitch is still hoping they can make a lot of money from that stream because they have other videos that can keep people going to their site. But it looks like sooner or later, the number of people visiting Twitch could decrease if Twitch doesn't do something about it.

Streamers can indeed find other places to put on the gambling shows that have been banned on Twitch, especially if they have a free subscription email service for their loyal viewers so they can send updates to their viewers. Well, we'll just have to wait and see what the streamers will do.

Removing gambling related streams then it would be particular giving out different impressions to other co-streamers whether they would really be affected by that or would simply ignore and stay up on Twitch.

For sure it would really make out some decrease but lets see if on how they would really be able to handle up such changes but pretty sure that they had been fully prepared and aware
in regarding on the decisions that they had made out.

Just like the rest been saying that this isnt only the streaming platform out there. There's still some other options left.

If that's the case, maybe people will be more careful about providing content and try not to violate Twitch's new rules.

So the ban from Twitch is not the end of everything but a new beginning for streamers to be able to continue to channel it elsewhere. We will see later.

I do not know, is there any gambling games that are allowed? I am not saying there are none, but I haven't heard any that still exists. As far as I know, it was all about how there would be absolutely no games of gambling allowed, but that is just what I assumed would happen, not what I knew that would happen, which is why I had no idea that it would go on like this.

At the end of the day, we are talking about something that is going to hurt the markets a bit, and that's not going to be so simple to go on neither, it's going to be marketing hell for a while until all of them find another place, which means it will take time and cause some discomfort.

But maybe those streamers will switch to gambling games that are still allowed by Twitch because it means they don't have to leave Twitch which has given them space to share hobbies or provide content for people.

But for sure everything will take place since twitch is not the only platform where people can livestream their actions made in casino so I guess this will only create small problem but will be solve by those influential people since for sure their followers will follow them wherever they go. This will really hurt the market but maybe this could widen up their reach since for sure they might find more platforms to stream and this could increase more their influence to people who doesn't know them yet or the activities they do.

I don't know if there's an alternative platform to livestream yet but I think they will find sooner or later which they can stream gambling related streams.

What do you mean exactly with this? If Stake, as a separate entity, goes live on Twitch that is okay? Stake is a gambling entity, and it's not safe from Twitch's ban since they are a gambling platform.
I am quite surprised with the statement that stake may be able to continue streaming if the casino is separated from sportsbook when we all knew that sportsbook is a different kind of gambling which bettors bet on a certain sports and try their chance to win more money. I do agree that any gambling related site or platform is not safe from twitch banon gambling stream because of their platform becoming a haven for scammers.

This isn't a big issue. Streamers will always have their plans and platforms ready. Probably we can see some of the firms to come up with a dedicated streaming application for gamblers. For now we've got more platforms that support streaming and they might have their own terms and conditions.

Not heard of Dlive before but it doesnt matter for Drake, people will go where he tells them he is now streaming.  I dont think its an issue for people already famous really, if the site is capable of handling the traffic then he can and will likely use it.
I like the boundary they draw though I see plenty of luck involved in sports or poker or any betting really but I get they intend to name it a skill based game so relevant to stay on the site.   A bad person trying to scam people, lying, stealing basically is something that exists every sector of industry and definitely occurs in politics, broadcasting, entertainment.  Its naive to think otherwise but this is the easiest path for them to change policy on I guess, I can see them changing it back in future also tbh.
Mainstream games have a ton of gambling built into them as revenue generators also, worth mentioning that hasnt changed.

If you visit this link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5414408.0, it says that

We will continue to allow websites that focus on sports betting, fantasy sports, and poker.

So there are still gambling games that are allowed to air on Twitch. Maybe at this time, the streamers are still looking for a place to show their content that is still allowed and I'm sure they will be back on air shortly. That won't stop them from providing content to other subscribers or viewers.

Currently, I'm still watching on the Twitch and Facebook, I've never know that Dlive its just a new thing to me, and at the same time is with the facebook right now have a restriction once they saw already a gambling related into the content like live streaming most likely they remove those but instead the streamers do is just having a cut with the edits of the streamers by that they can now easily still promote the platform they have sponsored with.

That's true that's why I said that they will find another platform sooner or later. Twitch is scheduled to ban gambling so right now I think they still let people stream gambling. I am not sure if twitch will just announce that they ban gambling especially streame from the sites they mentioned in their twitter but I think not all gambling will be banned but I did read that they will identify other to ban as well but they did announced to continue with sports betting, fantasy sports and poker so that means not all may be banned.

Watching streamers gambling with a ton of money is a complete waste of time if you ask me since the funds that they use are usually supplied by the site that they are gambling in which implies that the risk factor here is zero.

It's a clever tactic used by many popular gambling sites to attract gamblers for sure, but trying to replicate their wins is silly due to the difference in the risk factor between the streamers and gamblers.

I guess some people watch these streams for fun which is the silver lining here.

Yeah, as long as they have already built their fanbase. The fans are going to follow them wherever they go, that's why those streamers that are entertaining will always find a good spot wherever they go.

Aside from those donations that they'll receive from their fans, they can secure contract and support from the platform itself aside from advertisements and partnerships too.

Dlive is the other platform that I've known where they can stream. YouTube has streaming as well. But for Dlive, it's not that much users yet and viewers are still few.

So, it's like that Twitch is still the king of streaming against other streaming platforms. Facebook is also a good platform where has a lot of viewers for streamers but I don't know if they'll allow gambling contents to be viewed in their stream.

Dlive has been there IIRC for years but they've tried to make their advertisements with a lot of popular people yet that's not enough.

Pretty sure it is wasting time activity if we do not like it but there are thousands of people who like to watch it for some reasons.
Some people watch it because there will be giveaway by the streamer and some other watch it because they purely like to watch it.
I myself do not like to watch live stream (any content) but I do like to watch some clips of nice winning from the streamers (I dont care whether they use real money or not).
In this case, Drake is an official ambassador of Stake so if Twitch will ban him then I believe there will be communication between Stake and Drake to find the best alternative streaming platform.

Eddie said today in his stream that Drake will make a new stream soon, in the coming weeks. It will be after the 18th october because if it was in the 10 coming days it would be already scheduled on a specific date. So it will be necessarily outside Twitch. Eddie didn't say where it will be, but we can assume it will be on Dlive, since it seems to be his favorite stream platform.

They banned gambling from "unlicensed" providers and they consider any company with a Curacao gaming license as unlicensed. Obviously this was to put a blanket ban on most of the gambling content that people were publishing, though I suppose someone could possibly circumvent the ban if there are providers that Twitch considers to have legitimate licenses.

Youtube is worst than Twitch, so I don't think there's another good platform for Drake except Twitch since the other platforms doesn't popular.

Why is YouTube worse than twitch? They have massive global market share, just not in livestreaming. Their political censorship is overboard but I understand wanting to waive liability from the tech censorship overlords by banning discussion of contentious political topics. Gambling isn't as taboo so it seems like they allow gambling content to be published.

Youtube may block gambling content in countries where gambling is ban.  That is the censorship youtube will do on gambling channels.  Youtube is playing safe when they remove or banned videos that have political views.  They just don't want to have problems with the authority and wanted to make their operation smooth by banning and deleting videos that can offend or attack any political parties.  Aside from that, Youtube is a good platform and maybe a good alternative for gambling streamers now that twitch is banning these gambling streamers.

Though we also don't know what will happen if regulators started to pressure youtube to ban gambling streamers since it is highly possible to happen too.

Only a YouTube hater would say crap like that since anyone with a half-decent brain knows that YouTube is way, way more popular than the other platforms which were mentioned in some of the previous posts.

Aside from that, Youtube is a good platform and maybe a good alternative for gambling streamers now that twitch is banning these gambling streamers.
YouTube is more restrictive when compared to Twitch in this case which is why I don't think your suggestion is really helpful here.

Why do we even need to compare Youtube and twitch ? Both cover the difference audience and both are popular in one way or another, however, Youtube is more watched as compared to Twitch. As per some data , Youtube has 2.1 billion monthly active users while only 30 Million Active users visit Twitch daily. So you can find the difference in number of visitors at both platforms.

However, when it comes to gambling content or crypto currencies content, both have some restrictions and those streamers are not given free hand on both platforms. Twitch bans content which included unlicensed slots, dice  and other gambling games while youtube has a restricted policy over content related to gambling, drugs , alcohol etc.

Content creators and advertisers need to follow the policies given by these centralized platforms and also creators needs  to find a more decentralized place on the internet where they can create content and stream without much restrictions.

actually this is just one piece of so much happening in twitch specially in gambling world so the platform as being discussed to  banned Gambling streamers , but the link is indeed one of the main reason why twitch wanted to maintain their trustworthiness by not letting any bad influencers in their site.
though there are other platform that they can transfer but this will bring big impact to the existing site that uses the platform to lure gamblers.

I believe people watch not because they think it is real gambling, but because they just like to watch people do stuff. I mean look at all the gamers, I can buy the game and play it myself as well, and in this day and age there are so many places that I can go ahead and find other people to group up and play together too, and yet I do not do it at all.

This is why I believe that we shouldn't really be expecting anything big out of this, it is not about the real money or fake money, it's about the community basically. If you watch someone then you sort of belong to their community and if you chat enough, you will get to know other people and make friends, that has always been the real reason for twitch.

Agreed. I guess such decentralised places do exist, but they pale in popularity when compared to centralised platforms like YouTube, Twitch etc.

I understand your opinion, but comparing gaming with real money gambling doesn't make much sense. You stand to lose money while trying to replicate streamer wins while the same doesn't apply to playing games.

Not only on twitch but also into other similar platforms as well. This do really means on having communication and interaction with fellow gamers or something to those people who do want to socialize for those someone
who do share up with the same interest or hobby. It is really no brainer that we would really be looking on places which we do really able to find ourselves to be relevant.
Whenever someone do watch up some streams then it would be mostly be pertaining about their interest on watching someone who do play or it really just vary that it had caught their attention.
We could really deal up things according on what we do see on point whether it do really fits out on something we do prefer or not.

Youtube may block gambling content in countries where gambling is ban.  That is the censorship youtube will do on gambling channels.

Just to clarify, if its law in those countries there is no maybe about those actions they will happen or the company will be expelled from the country.   Google, alphabet, Youtube might be large global entities but they are still the significance of a kid playing in the street compared to a national government compelling you to follow not just guidelines but exact instructions.  Gambling will be banned from any mention in many places no doubt, we only hope that crypto is not treated in any similar way but is regarded as something relatively inert and neutral.

Only a YouTube hater would say crap like that since anyone with a half-decent brain knows that YouTube is way, way more popular than the other platforms which were mentioned in some of the previous posts.
You are right. YouTube is more popular than Twitch and it's not fair to compare them to each other. However, twitch is more suitable for streamer especially gamers, thanks to its features.
Youtube rules and terms are more strict then Twitch. So, if a type of content is banned on twitch, you can be sure it will not be accepted on youtube.

Although I am not a fan of tiktok as I believe it's mostly used by the Gen Z, it looks like it's the new trend and it may replace those old streaming platforms.

Aside from that, Youtube is a good platform and maybe a good alternative for gambling streamers now that twitch is banning these gambling streamers.
YouTube is more restrictive when compared to Twitch in this case which is why I don't think your suggestion is really helpful here.

As of now, Youtube doesn't forbid gambling streamers so your argument about being restrictive is somehow invalid.  It is possible that the time will come for Youtube to do the same thing as twitch but not at this moment.  Streamers whose content are about to be banned on twitch needs an alternative platform and Youtube is one of the best alternative for now.  If you don't think Youtube is a good alternative then kindly tell me which platform do you think is much better.

I remember reading in the past that youtube only allows gambling content where the gambling site is approved by them(similar to what was written on the twitch announcement that was posted on a thread here in the forum), so as far as I know, they do restrict certain gambling content that violates their community guideline. that being said I am not sure if they are more restrictive than twitch but as far as I know, they do restrict certain gambling content.

I have no doubt that Drake will use the tried and tested DLive that Eddie is using every Saturday now, because Eddie from Stake.com were also banned from the Twitch platform.  Roll Eyes  (Just because he mentioned the Stake.com domain and also displayed it on a banner add whilst he was streaming)

I am just worried that the DLive platform will not be robust enough to handle the Drake stream, because he has a significant amount of people following him.  Roll Eyes

Let's just assume that Drake is finally banned from Twitch, he still has options to use for live streaming as he does on Twitch, Youtube, and Facebook are still there, these two platforms as far as I know are also used by other influencers on streaming gambling platforms.

There are many users of this platform that I mentioned.
So I don't think Drake will be affected much in that regard, it's just that his record on twitch is not good anymore, right?

Youtube doesn't just have videos, youtube has streaming as well for a while now. There has been a ton of people who moved from Twitch to youtube, and then even back, which means that you are seeing something that would be profitable for these people if they picked youtube and streamed their gambling there.

But, as far as I know youtube already has a ban for gambling streams, which means that both of these websites are out. It's clear that there is a need for gambling only (well you can add other stuff too but marketing point should be gambling) streaming service, that way all of these gamblers would go there, including drake, which would create a good marketing for them. Hell, Drake could start his own, and make money from that too.

This doesnt talk about getting banned or something but totally Twitch is really banning out gambling streams specially into those offshore licenses outside US and since Drake is
commonly seen on this platform then other streamers would really be affected as well but its true that it wont really be that much of an issue
considering that we do have other platforms which these streamers would be flocking in.

It would be never a problem since there are currently existing platforms which can do the job.It is on Twitch loss if they would really be implying these rules.

This is if twitch is actually banning individual streamers as well, then I guess it's safe to say that Drake will be banned, but if we should go by what Twitch said in the announcement they posted on Twitter, they said they are banning casinos from streaming on their platform, not individual streamers like Drake and the likes.

And as for him using other platforms like Facebook for his streaming business, if he was to ask me, I would suggest Instagram, I find streaming on  Instagram more professional than streaming on Facebook.

I think its very hard to stream gambling on facebook and Instagram because both are strict they require licenses before a streamer can stream gambling activities on these platforms.
Probably going to wait if Eddie is going to buy Dlive then they can stream there without any issues.

This is a difficult time for most streamers and there is not still a better place for them to go and relax doing what they love doing which do enlighten gamblers on the latest. Some people are still seeing YouTube as an alternative for streamers which could look welcoming but not the best with the way I am looking at it.
YouTube is monetising there platform to make more money and they will be ready to ban and thing whether video or any that can make government to take a look at there activities which can lead to heavy sanctions. YouTube will not give streamers a better and complete view.

So far, YouTube is really leading in preferred alternatives for gambling streamers and content creator to run to if ever Twitch will really ban those kinds of content. However, like what you said, YouTube is not really ideal in terms of catering these players and streamers because as time goes by, they also limit the type of content of what you are can upload. This makes it inconvenient and hassle on the part of the streamers and creators as well.

I agree that YouTube really maximizes their monetization and we can't really blame them since they are also a business. However, to the extent of suspension and banning of accounts and categories to be uploaded and streamed the moment they deem it necessary will just bring the same chaos to the streaming community particularly with the subject of gambling, just like whats happening now. The only difference is that it is delayed in nature since there's a only a few who decided to make the jump yet. In addition, YouTube is densely populated with minors, so it could lead to more serious problems if the age restriction won't be followed strictly.

Roll Eyes
Considering drake was doing something for just partnership, I am pretty sure that he will be gambling wherever he is told to, so wherever Eddie ends up, Drake will gamble there too. This is just a business deal for him and for stake as well, I do not know where all the other gamblers will go, but I know for sure that Drake and Eddie will stick together and gamble at the same place no matter where that place is.

I know it's not idea for that type of situation because in the end they may have to switch places. But, the point of Drake streaming is partnership with stake so that he would bring in more customers via his streams so he is not doing it for anything else.

i figure all crypto gambling streamers will go to youtube. but as you know that won't last long.

youtube will do what they do best, censor the biggest channels as soon as they are settled in.

Stunna, can you make a site thats just for crypto gambling streaming?

you would make millions from it.

i love watching slot streamers. its great entertainment.

I think the site you mention is more concerned with convenience for its users, so they pay more attention to what they think is best. By banning gambling on the platform, They will get more respect from their users, I think so based on what I read from the reasons for the ban on the platform.

I think it's very hard to stream gambling on facebook and Instagram because both are strict they require licenses before a streamer can stream gambling activities on these platforms.
In as much as it is possible, for me, I see no reason why it will be hard for a global superstar like "Drake" from getting a license to enable him run a successful live streaming. Because for me, I see Instagram to be a very good alternative compared to its counterpart "Facebook" which is always loaded with a variety of content. And I hope "Twitch" never regret this action made if all it's gambling streamers abandon the platform for good, as that will be a very huge loss of money to Twitch.

Finally Drake will make a stream tomorrow on Twitch just few hours before the ban of Stake will officially starts there. So if they are rushing to put in place a stream now and announcing it only one day before, it's certainly because they want to make a last stream on Twitch. What is the reason if it's not because they think themselves they won't get the same success on another streaming platform?

They may not get the same success in the beginning switching to another streaming platform.
But I believe, it would only take time before people will notice the new one.
We can't expect that a new streaming platform will get the same success like twitch.
But if popular streamers will move to this new one, their followers will also follow them.
Give it a time, and you will hear a new popular streaming platform owed to Drake.

Tomorrow Drake will stream at 1am GMT, we will see what will be their next move. Probably Dlive will be announced for next stream due to obvious changes, Twitch is no more priority for gamblers after recent changes. Drake has huge audience, the new announcement of Drake vs Stake will be huge for gambling streaming world, IMHO.

Yes, as we have been speculating, Clive is one of the best options not just for Drake but for other gambler streamers. So I'm expecting that they have move already to Clive and it will start over again.

If not Clive, then there are other options, actually there are a lot and it seems that other streaming services have already updated their platform and their ToS and mostly it will be favorable to gambler steamers as we all know that this is a billion dollar industry.

But maybe those streamers will switch to gambling games that are still allowed by Twitch because it means they don't have to leave Twitch which has given them space to share hobbies or provide content for people.

I think something, it is a very logical thing but due to the issue that twitch and everything it represents many people do not dare to say it, but DRAKE is very influential, even if they go to YouTube itself, YouTube has a piece where they can interact, or wherever you go you will have people, more as they see it associated with Stake.com it gives you much more level, more category and more elegance, so in these cases, a platform like Twitch is good, but at least thought already there must be another platform that players are going to put as their favorite, although to be honest, if stake.com intends to make their own platform for streamer they have what and the talent and professionals to achieve it.

They may, I didn't know that youtube was also banned, but I believe that it depends on the streamer and what they do to get the viewers. Are you telling me  that drake could stream "anywhere" and I mean literally anywhere and can't find viewers?

Well, the truth is that I don't really care where you want to go to continue watching DRAKE's live performances, the last one was very good, it's a shame they didn't call me, I didn't have much luck, but I congratulate all those who managed to call and win, in addition to those who called I extend my congratulations to them, hopefully they are also active here in the forum, however wherever you have to go for the live performances of Drake and Stake.com for me it will be Well, in fact, I'm starting to grow fonder of roulette, as Drake has shown that you can make a lot of money there.
