I wish Spain and Germany came from different sides of the bracket.    We would have most probably seen both of them in the finale. Now like I said before it is going to be an early finale in the quarter finals already.

I think these are only two team that have actually played up to my expectations and pairing this two team in this next round is really a spoiler for me because it would have been a nice match up to actually see them play in the finals but still on still am hoping to get a very entertaining game although I don't know about the goals that would be scored because I believe the more the round keep progressing the lower the  goals will come as teams begin to be more conscious.

I didn't know how awful England had been in this competition. But I read many blog stories complaining how Southgate doesn't know the formation to play and the players to feature. So, I decided to watch England's last match and the whole thing was different. The formation was ok, the players played were the right ones and in the overall performance, England was superb.

Your opinion is quite justified, England is the favorite because they have an easier path, they will only face Switzerland, then have the opportunity to face Netherlands or Turkey, the rest is only in the final. It's no surprise the bookies have made England favorites so far.

Yes, perhaps almost everyone is surprised by this assessment because England has not been able to show any impressive performance so far.
