I'm cautiously optimistic.. just shy of short term bullish.
Judging by some of the Good Wife episode reviews and comments outside of this forum - It seems to me that the 'bitcoin' aspect of the story is going to be to many, just some quirky sideline. Most fans of the show will be far more interested in the ongoing story arcs.
I still thought it was great publicity for bitcoin - just to get the word out there and in the back of people's minds.

After seeing the Good Wife episode I have to say that I'm now 100% confident that it's only a matter of time when this rally EXPLODES. The pot is about to boil over and the longer it takes for it to start, the more massive the rally will be.
Testing $8 is unquestionable at this point, in fact we could be testing $10 this week.

Didn't you have similar confidence about bitcoin all the way down from August to November? For the long term I mostly share your opinions - but now we are probably heading into a longer correction. |

I didn't. I don't have exact dates but I lost my confidence when we were around $8, coming down. A bit late but still early enough to make some very good trading decisions after that. Switched back to bull when we triple bottomed at $2. I agree that there will be corrections and a bigger correction at some point but I think it's highly unlikely for it to come now. The biggest correction we will see at this time is the one that already happened, to around $6.2. It could be that a larger correction happens once we reach $8 - $10. |

The funny thing is that we don't need any new money to have a super rally. The orderbook is showing an unprecedented amount of money out there already. And this is not all there is. However the same applies to the bitcoins that sellers are keeping out of the books.
I'm seeing people scrambling to deposit right now in hopes of getting their money in while we're still below $8. This is a race against time. We don't need a penny from the viewers of Good Wife to get this thing going, the current community is more than capable of causing a massive rally with the money that's currently there and especially when the next set of deposits arrive.
To me the Good Wife episode is something that will be beneficial to Bitcoin over the next few months, not something that will affect the markets directly in a few days time. But the positive effect from the show will cause investors to become even more bullish, they will deposit and buy now that the "expected value" of Bitcoin seems higher. So the episode does have a strong indirect effect and a gradual direct effect over the weeks and months to come.
