Remo Stars lost two points in their first match, but they bounced back with a 2-1 win against Kun Khalifat. Currently, Remo Stars have 4 points and they are ranked 4th in the Nigeria Premier League table. As the defending champions from last season, I believe they'll put in even more effort this season.
I expected more Northern teams to be strong contenders in the Nigeria Premier League title, but they haven't shown much improvement this season. Especially Kano Pillars, which is a team I expect more from, considering their past performances, honestly, their performance hasn't been impressive, and they've started the new season with poor performances again, having secured just 1 point from two matches and dropped 5 points.

We saw last match of the Nigeria Premier Football League which was between Remo Stars and Kun Khalifat football team. Both teams tried to win this match but Remo Stars effort was osum and that team won the match km in the end by doing 2 goals in this match. Remo Stars football team is also very well in this tournament as that team played 2 matches and had 4 points on the table and present on the upper position of the table. But position of Kun Khalifat football team is very low as they has only 1 point as their first match ended with draw result.Players of Remo Stars football team looked in excellent form and that was the reason they did back to back goals in this match which was requirement of the team .

I agreed with you that Remo Stars are the favorites to win this league, given their strong performance in previous seasons. They've consistently been among the top teams, often finishing with brilliant results. Remo Stars next match is on Sunday against Warri Wolves, which promises to be an exciting match. Warri Wolves have won their first two matches and are currently ranked second in the table. This won't be an easy game for Remo Stars, because Warri Wolves are likely to build on their strong start to the season, but I'm sure no matter how well Warri Wolves play, Remo Stars will do everything possible to outperform them and secure victory. Enugu Rangers performances haven't been impressive, with one loss and one draw. Their next match against Plateau United could be a key test to see if they'll step up this season. because expect them to bounce back soon.

The season had just started, and just two matches had been played. We can't use the match played so far to begin to draw conclusions about teams that could perform well and poorly, when there are many matches to be played, for teams to improve themselves or perform worse than they have. Bayelsa United have won two of their matches. What of the rest of the matches that are to be played? Will they grab all the points of the 38 match that will make them keep leading in the NFL table without dropping points for other Nigerian league teams to take over the top spot? That's the question to ask yourself because the two matches played so far are nothing to judge about other teams because there is enough time to recover, appear top of the table, or fall below

So how a team start the season doesn't matter, what matters the most is how a team end the season, even a team that start the season may even end up not been in top 10 in the table.

Well said, though in football consistency and endurance is all what really matters. The way a team starts a season maybe with agility and good grades, doesn't mean they will end in a good way. Players might sustain injuries, and so many pressure can affect the team as season goes on. Just like you said, if a team loses 2-3 players most especially players that contribute more I'm goal scoring or player's that are responsible for holding the midfield well, the team performance can easily drop in the twinkle of a eye. we have seen so many teams shart strong with back to back win for example, man city last season, but in no time they begin go drop. So Yes performance might actually attract attention, but staying strong till the end of the season matters alot.

Among all the teams hailing from North Nigeria Plateau Utd was the the team with a performance that was worth noting last season. Seems like this new season the El-Kanemi Warriors are going to the brilliant Northern team to watch.

I agree with you definitely on this because football is one funny thing a team can actually start the season well by winning the the initial stages of the competition but situations like injuries and lack of form can make such teams to struggle and even get relegated, while a team that started the season on a struggling Note can pick form at the cause of the season. So we should not define the outcome of a team by the initial performance that they do in the start of the season we should wait until the season gets to at least middle before judging.

A Team Starting the season in good form at times helps in getting something at the end of the season if only they are not affected by some factors like: injury, lost of form, transfer activities and so on. So starting with a thunderous form never guarantee they will be crowned champions at last because no body knows what will happen at the middle of the season but the best approach to any season is starting with good form and never wait till the middle of the season before displaying there potentials to avoid had i know.

If the current players can't deliver results, they should consider squad changes, Because they have talented young players who could improve the team.Likewise, Katsina I've seen a number of their matches at their stadium, and I used to see the crowd of supporters in their stadium turned out to support them. They don't deserve to be playing poorly like this. I expected them to perform well in order to encourage people.

There are seasons that some teams just don't do well, most of their key players just suddenly flop due to maybe injuries or for what we can't really point to. Could be that this is Kano pillars and the likes of some of the Northern teams might be passing through. Take Manchester city in the EPL for example, after an excellent successive seasons they just become something different of what we know them for. Surely, the fans deserves to watch a good play from their team when they come to watch them and it's disappointing when that's not what they're getting.

Whatever issues Kano Pillars has, I think they need to be rectified by now. They've had poor performances for years, and I believe even fans are getting tired of their excuses. Just look at their performance this season - no signs of improvement. They lost three points to Katsina United in their last match and they are currently ranked 18th on the table. This is the kind of problem our Super Eagles face we keep seeing the same faces of players without any achievements. I believe rotating players could bring better results. The same applies to Kano Pillars, player rotation could improve their performance. Remo Stars currently top the table with seven points after winning against Warri Wolves. I don't think it'll be a surprise if they win the NPL this season, because they seem to be outperforming other clubs

Kano pillars are not the only top team in the Nigeria premier league who are not performing up to expectations currently, you can also see how Enyimba is declining. I think most of the new teams now are really making good investments, though so many teams have come and go, there are lots of unstable teams in the Npfl, most of them who once won the league previously are no where to be found you can’t even say where they are currently if they’ve been relegated to 5th division. I think all these Kano pillars. Enyimba, and Rivers United are even more stable because they’ve been in the league for many seasons and yes it’s just a matter of time before Kano pillars win the title again.

But it's predictable to know who will win in a particular match, which we know that in the Nigerian premier league, home hardly loses a match even if it's a bottom team that's playing against an inform team. Most of the time if home doesn't win, they come out with a draw, hardly before we see a loss from a team that's playing from home. That's one of the major problem of the league that I know concerning it.

I think the unpredictability of the team that's going to lift the league title even when the league hasn't ended is part of what makes the NPFL fascinating to the fans then having one team hacking the league with sequencial dominance to the league title. It would be boring. Most of the teams that are lagging behind right now are due to a lack of strong financial investment to team and the new teams with the resources to recruit quality talents haa come into the league and boosted the competition that these older teams are finding it difficult to maintain their top ranks in the league table.

The Nigerian league use to have Enyimba in those days as one of the capable teams who always contend for the league and continental championships every season but things have changed. Every team presently is capable of pulling up a suprise at anytime because their performance is also based on the amount of sponsorship they received during the season. We all saw Abakaliki FC which kicked off last season and in their first season, they made it to their first final against Kwara United because of the support they got both from fans and the leadership. If they eventually find their way to the top flight, they will definitely be a challenge to many teams. Remo Stars have been very consistent since at least 4 seasons now and still fighting for the top spot again this season. I just wish any channel can start televising the Nigerian league, it will gain more support and recognition globally. For now, let's keep hoping things get better.

Enyimba used to be a very strong team back then but they're the shadows of themselves currently infact I can compare them to Manchester United based on the fact that they were on of the strongest but lost their glory days, I really loved the team because of how well they represented Nigeria across the nation, well that's what happens when a team is not managed well the team would become weak and even overshadowed by new teams with better management and sponsors. You're right, if only we had sports minded men like Kanu Nwankwo and Jay Jay governing the football bodies of the NFF maybe the league would've been televised but what do you expect when politicians and businessmen are in charge, the NFF really needs to be reformed.

Lolz 😂 like Manchester United is a very serious matter which they have to come out from it. I could remember in 2009 to 2012 when Enyimba was very strong in the Nigeria Football Premier League and their name was with everyone's lips but they are nowhere to be found in the National League. I could also remember they produced good players in the Super Eagles too. As for the internal team issue the problem is from the coaches, you know most of the coaches that were doing those good jobs are no more or retired from service so the new Coaches are not well trained to coach the teams. Finidi the recent Coach for the Super Eagles were appointed as the new Head Coach in Rivers United last season and after the season, he was relegated to the position of the assistant coach in the team.
