Guys I would really love to see a match between the USA and Iran or even Morocco vs. the USA. The organizers should try to make it happen because it could be one of the biggest matches of the World Cup. The atmosphere would be absolutely incredible. Please just turn the stadium into a battlefield haha!

To be honest I think 70 to 80% of football fans would love to see such a match. It would attract huge attention from fans all around the world. Lets hope we get to see one of these exciting matchups during the tournament.

We have already seen many strong teams play and each team has played very badly. Some strong teams have drawn with normal teams so it is really a matter of wondering what will happen to the teams that will be played today. If the strong teams among Argentina, France and Portugal draw with normal teams today then it can be a real surprise. We have already seen teams like Uruguay, Brazil and Spain draw so it is a matter of seeing what the next strong teams will bring. Although the next three strong teams are expected to do well, most people will be betting on them. But if the games turn out like the previous matches then every gambler will lose their bets. Am pretty much sure Argentina and France will make the W's today, this probably will end bad for huge odds advantage takers as bigger teams will dominate, as for the France team, I believe strongly that they will win because Senegal is not the most defensive team we fear African teams to be, although not a bad defense but not on par with Cape Verde.

To be honest I am pretty optimistic about the match between Argentina vs Algeria because this will be the first ever world cup match for the Champions and from all above the GOAT Lionel Messi will be there to play his last ever world cup. So that's why all over teg world fans are pretty optimistic to see the greatest Lionel Messi for last ever dance.....

Besides if we talked about the match then probably it will not the same as others like this match will not be finished as others because Argentina is bit heavier than Algeria and even Lionel Messi will also be there to play the match. Spain draw was different because Cabo Verde goalkeeper was absolutely phenomenal. He denied every single attempt of Spain attack. So that's why Spain failed to win the match.

I'm speechless about this because I don't want it to be another complication, though it will be anticipated for, but let's also look at the possibility of this happening or not, it is better to see USA country than Iran, but if this happened, there it could be the most anticipated experience everyone we want to see how the players are going to play each other on the pitch.

I’ve also seen quite a few people discussing this very topic on social media. It seems like a lot of people are really hoping to see Iran face the U.S. in this World Cup. If the two teams were in the same group, that would happen sooner.

By the way, there’s something quite unique about the opening matches. For example, the draws.

Look at Groups B, G, and H. All of their opening matches ended in draws. And I think that’s pretty unique. But it really did happen.

All four teams in Group H ended in a draw and split the points. Iran didn’t play badly against New Zealand, but they didn’t play well enough to win the match. They were the favorites in this match, but it seems New Zealand performed better. In the group’s other match, Egypt tied with Belgium. Belgium had a good chance of winning this match as well, but they failed to do so. They struggled against Egypt.

Sadio Mane, Jackson and Ismaila Sarr as attacking player for Senegal likely can't underestimate with possibility have chance scoring the goal, I can't predicting yet both team Senegal and France have many top players quite difficult to pick which one win this match.

Algeria is still world's 27th team as per the FIFA ranking. It might not be a top tier team but it is always a threat.

If Spain loses points with Cabo Verde, do not underestimate Algeria.

What a crazy wish, it’s not something organisers (FIFA) can fix, it’s left in the hands of the universe they can only meet in the knockout phase depending on how they qualify.

The World Cup so far has been exciting though no much games with goals only a few so far has produced enough but each game has its own perks.

I’m waiting for the France and Senegal game to kick off. A very strong line up from both sides, France the better on paper but the field might prove different. African Nations have been doing well so far and Senegal is her champion they have to prove that.

Cape Verde once again has proved that in football anything is possible, it's not over until the referee blows the final whistle. Sincerely, I'm still in shock over this very draw up till this moment.

Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha was incredibly good! He made so many important saves. It must be 7 in total if I'm not wrong.

I know many people are bit skeptical about the today schedule like from the beginning of world cup til now all big team didn't even show any good progress like to win the match except Germany. So that's why fan are also expecting the same results form Argentina and France. But in my opinion both will do a better job like both have higher probility to win the match.....

it will be the first match for France and even though i'm not a big fan of his, it looks like mbappe will go down in world cup history with the goals he's going to score.
imo Mbappe will score his first goal in this match and keep them coming. Looking at the squad, France's opponents are going to have a really tough time...

The big match between France and Senegal has just started, I am very excited about this match. France is coming out with their best, forwards Kylian Mbappé, Désiré Doué, Ousmane Dembélé, Michael Olise. They are capable of destroying any defense. I am very confident about the match that France will destroy Senegal in a very big way. Let's see how destructive France performs in their first match, I think they will win the match with a good score.

Honestly, no one ever thought or even thought that the match would be like this or that the match would end in a draw. All the friends I know who are involved in gambling bet on Spain. They bet big amounts and they thought that Spain would win this match very easily, there is nothing wrong with that. Cabo Verde made their defense very strong and at one point it seemed to me that maybe Cabo Verde didn't think about attacking in this match but their main goal was to keep the defense strong. Although in this match, I saw Spain's possession throughout the match, Cabo Verde played great, especially their goalkeeper.

One thing I noticed is that Spain underestimated Verde, they fielded players that are not fully their main strength, I understand Spain B squad can also be considered much better when compared to Verde main squad, Spain may want to keep winning easily with not their main strength, but it backfired on them, maybe if Yamal, Nico and Olmo were played from the beginning of the match, the result would be different. Yes, there must be a lot of disappointment with the result, a bet that should have been an easy win, didn't come to fruition.

I also believe the Spanish coach underestimated Cape Verde by not fielding a full squad. The coach should realize that any team that has qualified for the World Cup should not be underestimated, as they can cause a surprise and that's exactly what happened now.

Spain without players like Yamal, Nico and Olmo, couldn't penetrate the opponent's penalty area they just wandered around outside the penalty area, adding to their poor finishing. Cape Verde's defense was quite solid in this match and their goalkeeper was in god-like form. Of course, without players like Yamal, Nico and Olmo, it was difficult to score. If they had started from the start Spain might have won this match.

With Cape Verde spirited play they deserved a point against a strong team. This shows that playing total defense doesn't mean a team is weak, but rather the best option in certain situations. This is the definition of "Art of Defending and Goalkeeping."

Spain performed very terrible in this match even they sent Yamal and Nico in for some minutes, they failed to get three points. It's not how a title candidate should perform but luckily for Spain, it's only the first match, at least they did not lose it, and there are still two more matches for them doing improvements, go to round of 16.

Though the time and chance are still there for Spain, they must be very hurry with improving themselves as one more bad match and result can put them into risk of finishing this World Cup earlier than expected or if they continue such poor performance in knock out matches, they will have risk of having defeats.

It's like a bad day for big national teams as Belgium lost points too, and they only managed to secure one point. Both Belgium and Spain actually made big disappointment in yesterday World Cup matches. It will be time for Portugal and Argentina debuting their World Cup journeys, and they have to be very careful and avoid what Spain and Belgium got hours ago.

To be fair, I feel like that is just a fluke and not something that could indicate how good they are or how bad they are. This team looked like the best team of the tournament, and them failing to win against a simple team was mainly because they just underestimated their opponent.

I get that Spain should have won this game, and failing to win was a bad move there is no doubt about that, but that doesn't mean that we are going to see this as something that will prevent them from anything. Argentina won the world cup last time, and yet failed to beat Saudi Arabia on their first game on the last world cup.

Austria is the favorite against Jordan. While Argentina will face Algeria, it must avoid dropping points in this match. They may even have a chance to finish first in the group. Since Jordan is a team that likes to both score and concede goals, I think both teams will find the back of the net in this match. Austria is a team capable of scoring at least two goals against its opponent, so it should win the match comfortably.

Plenty of shocking results happened, not just Spain and Cape Verde game, but there were many other games as well. Brazil and Morocco being tied, Netherlands and Japan game, Belgium and Egypt, and most importantly, Iran game, which we were not even sure if they would be even allowed to play and they somehow did get in, still managed to get a tie from that game.

So yeah, there are plenty of games that people did not expected and yet it worked very well for them. I am assuming this would not be all that complicated.

I'm looking forward to the Iraq vs Norway game. The Norwegians have qualified for the World Cup for the first time in a very long time, and they have a fantastic squad featuring world-class players like Haaland and Sørloth. Norway absolutely steamrolled their qualification group, banging in 37 goals over 8 matches—an average of 4.62 goals per game. They are more than capable of scoring 3 or 4 goals here, especially with Haaland leading the line, who could easily bag a brace or a hat-trick in a game like this. Norway is vastly superior in terms of squad depth, attacking threat, and sheer individual quality. I just don't see how Iraq can withstand that kind of pressure for the full 90 minutes. I think the Norwegians should comfortably run away with this game and secure a blowout win.

Norway will be looking for a win against Iraq. The initial standings in Group I will be determined after today’s matches. I think Norway will have an easier time than France, but I believe Iraq could score in this match. After all, we’re talking about a team that scored against Spain in a friendly. They have the potential to score against Norway as well, but it seems like Norway will win this match by a comfortable margin. I expect Norway to win by 2 or 3 goals—maybe even more.
