You are definitely right and we know even after years when we check the history of football and see how Portugal was performing in the past we can see the amazing performance from Ronaldo and there is the same thing from Messi in Argentina. In fact, Portugal's players could never had these important achievements like Ronaldo, we know some players there like Deco and Figo but they could never had good performances like Ronaldo to bring these achievements for themselves and their teams. You cannot go with the legends players forever as those players will have to retire one day. Yes, players like Cristiano Ronaldo or Messi are stars but teams need to find equally good players so that once they retire, the vacuum is filled or there is no vacuum at all.
The teams who foresee the future will always try to find the replacements of the star players before there era comes to an end.

I totally agree with you about this topic. Small countries have bigger issues with growing players like Ronaldo. They aren't like Brazil for example which has a population around 217 million and which is a football country also. However I agree on another thing that Portugal still have skilled players. The thing they will only need is to have a strong team effort after Ronaldo retires. 

Portugal or some other national team can't just rely on one player to be carried. This is nonsense if you really want to become successful.

It will certainly be a big problem to compensate for the lack of Cristiano Ronaldo... perhaps the coach will have to change the tactical system so as not to be stuck with one way of playing to fill the gap that Ronaldo will leave, because as you said, these 3 players (João Félix, Jota Silva and Rafael Leão) may be good players, but they are all 24 years old, it is an age at which they should already have consistency (which is not happening)
