LOL.. really? Asia consists of a total of 49 countries. Out of that, cricket maybe more popular than football in a maximum of 4-5 countries (all of them in South Asia). Outside South Asia, cricket is hardly played by anyone. Even in the middle east, the so called national teams doesn't have a single citizen. On the other hand, football is popular everywhere. Japan in the last decades had a consistent growth, the results they have been achieving are very good, you can clearly see that there is a plan behind what they are doing. Football has growth a lot, way more fans, way more people interested in watching matches and, especially, way more Japanese players playing in Europe. I still remember when the only really famous player was Hidetoshi Nakata, now there are a lot of very good Japanese players.

It is true that the Brazilian national team lacks a creative player in midfield, something like a true number 10, like Rivaldo, Kaká or even an attacking midfielder like Ronaldinho Gaúcho in his prime.
