Are you pros or cons with these new rules?

I'm totally ok with these additional rules, actually I don't understand why there were not implemented since the very beginning. Many times referees make mistake with yellow cards, and the fact that the VAR could only intervene in case of direct red card but not for yellow cards was just stupid, especially when it's a second yellow that brings to a red card.

On the other hand, it will make the game more bureaucratic and less intense, due to the pauses taken to analyze the cards and potential fouls. I hope it doesn't prejudice the rhythm of the matches, because it's really annoying when it stops every few minutes, as if it wasn't already enough to have that mandatory three minute hydration break on each half time.

I've seen cases of games where VAR made mistakes that greatly harmed the team, causing me to lose my bet. I was annoyed because it wasn't just once or twice, but several times. These new rules are very important after we saw the events that negatively affected Juventus matches where there were several refereeing problems. i would say that they did well to introduce these new rules so as to never make mistakes again and to prevent errors of this kind from happening again.

After the event that negatively affected the match, new regulations were introduced by the body that is responsible for referees. This is all a total disgrace. This isn't football and it shows no respect for a team that gave their all on the pitch and was penalised without reason.

Yeah, there have been plenties of case related to the wrong given yellow card and set piece. It's also lacking of clarity about rules the goalie gets disturbed by players. yet, it's always getting passed by the incompetence referee. It proves there are still lots of loopholes in football need to be solved.

It's interesting to see the implementation of the news rules in WC. I hope it will slowly, but surely to erase the biased decision by the ref, which also often confusing us.

For a fair and better officiating by referee it is a good one, because this will help fix the human inadequacies that interfere with officiating sometimes and does go unnoticed but whith this, more referees will learn to drop their personal bias and officiate transparently since there is VAR to checkmate some of their decisions in areas as this. I believe with this, even players and Fans will begin to see the fairness in officiating in some cases where the need be.

As long as it is something that can make the game fairer, then I agree with it. Because sometimes there are mistakes made by referees that can be detrimental to the team that is considered to have committed them. With this additional rule, at least such mistakes can be minimized so that they don't happen as often.

However, when it comes to the intensity of the game, it will inevitably disrupt the rhythm or momentum of a team that has already found its groove.

I support this additional rule because it can minimize losses for a team. We've seen many referee decisions that disadvantage a team by issuing a second yellow card, even though the violation sometimes didn't deserve a yellow card. Similarly, corner kicks are sometimes awarded undeservedly. Therefore, this additional VAR rule will minimize obvious errors on the field by referees. Hopefully, this rule will be used not only in the World Cup but also in domestic leagues.

Honestly, i support it, but in a balanced way. By "balanced" i mean that the game shouldn’t be slowed down too much by checking situations the referee can clearly see on his own. Overall, it’s a positive change and it should make matches as fair as possible , especially when it comes to corner kicks.Many times the referee behind the goal simply can’t see who touched the ball last, and the decision ends up going the wrong way. So all in all, i think this is a great improvement

It seems logical to me to check such important points as yellow cards and corners, but I don’t understand at all what this has to do with the fight against time wasting (as written in the picture)? If VAR checks are carried out in parallel with the game, this is good, but if the checks are carried out after each episode, then this, on the contrary, delays the game. I still don't understand the issue. VAR works well (within acceptable limits, plus I remember what serious mistakes there were before VAR), but what does time delay have to do with it?

About harm, I am thinking that the recent crisis in Mexico as a result of the killing of the cartel leader, that if it does not subside, it may may affect the fixtures of the World Cup that should be played in Mexico considering the security of the visitors for the games.

Iran has pulled out of the world cup. Probably one of the teams that lost out during the AFC qualifiers would be replacing them. I am not sure whether the selection will be based on FIFA ranking, or based on the position in the Qualifier tournament. Iraq won the AFC 5th round qualifiers, and they are supposed to enter the Inter-confederation play-offs. In case FIFA wants to replace Iran with Iraq, then it will be the United Arab Emirates who qualify for the play-offs (with Iraq getting direct entry).

The intensity of the game is already ruined by all the simulations by the players. And many times these players get away with it, like it just happened a couple of weeks ago in Serie A during Inter-Juventus game: Inter's player commits a foul but simulates and the referee gave a second yellow card to the Juventus player, leaving the team down to 10 men. And it's important to note that Inter's player had already been booked so he was supposed to get the second yellow card. This was a huge mistake because thanks to that simulation the referee gave the red card to the wrong player, completely changing the dynamic of the game.

There are lots of discrepancies that are associated with the use of the VAR, there have being incidents where referees have made mistakes in their decisions and the VAR couldn't review such incidents because they weren't empowered to, it's would be a step in the right decision for corner kicks and second yellow cards and other offences to be thoroughly scrutinised in order to ensure clarity and fair play. This would make the games more interesting and with both sides in the game being satisfied with the games outcome.

Well, implementation like this might seem like a rule that would benefit football in general, but at the end of the day, the referee still gets to make every single decision even if VAR calls for a recheck or disagrees. And In league like the premier league, I honestly doubt if such rule adjustments is going to be effectively implemented and enforced on all teams. We've know English officiating to be controversial. Officiating is never consistent and in most cases, always ends in drama while the PGMOL keeps coming out to defend their rubbish.

And as for time wasting, it's certainly something to talk about, but like I said, consistency of rules might eventually be the problem. A ref that decides to award a card for time wasting in a particular game, might fail to do that in other games. So, creating the rules is never the problem, but the problem lies with how these rules are implemented and enforced on every single team without bias. Let's see how it all plays out in the WC.

I do not agree with this, as people are not going to watch the World cup because in the last 2 decades many things have happened, but all is going as usual the USA is well prepared for this. Most likely they will end this in a few days, and all will be normal because people will forget this quickly and have their lives be normal only the people who are affected are going to face problems in the long run. Most people were expecting this because the last conflict created serious trouble for Israel just because of this, things need to be wrapped up economically.

But still, there is going on about how things will work in the coming few days about this World Cup.
