Is this  World Cup going to happen looking at the rate USA Is making more enemies than friends.. and if Russia was banned for a similar case after invading Ukraine.. how different is it with Iran,?? It's about time FIFA make their verdict now with all the wars happening because that accolade given to Trump should also be withdrawn with all the bloodshed going on!

The United States isn't creating more enemies than friends. If Iran had atomic bombs, they wouldn't hesitate to destroy other countries. They are an extremely dangerous country. I'm not saying the US and Israel are angels, but between the US and Israel versus Iran, I definitely choose the US. That's why FIFA won't sanction the US because, deep down, they know who's right in this story.

And the US isn't trying to occupy Iran, they aren't kidnapping children, they aren't bombing civilian homes; they have military and political targets. Of course, mistakes happen and civilian lives are being lost, something very sad and even condemnable.

As for Russia, it's unacceptable. Russia invaded Ukraine without justifiable reason. They want to expand because Putin isn't mentally well; he wants to have a large country like it was 70 years ago. Something that, in this day and age, is impossible. Russia could have gone down the path of peace, could have been in the World Cup perhaps, but with Putin that's impossible.

Formula 1 and the FIFA has cancelled the Russian Grand Prix. Same with International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), Badminton World Federation (BWF) and International Judo Federation. What's even more laughable is the ban on Belarus (who has refrained from using their soldiers in the Russo-Ukrainian war).

Well, you should know that USA has a lot of influence with FIFA than Russia. I mean for sometime now we have been seeing Infatino at the White House, especially during meetings. I saw him in board of peace. Even Israel that has been committing lots of genocide are still playing football. True that USA has made lots of enemies, even the CO host countries aren't safe, like Mexico where there's lots of violence there. I don't know how they are going to work their security during the world cup. But It also looks like Iran won't be participating in this world cup anymore because the game will be played in American soil to security concerns won't allow Iran fans to entertain thee country. Since this world cup was said to be hosted by USA and Co, I knew there will be lots of problems and it's just 100days away.

Infantino is just corrupted as any previous Fifa president. He makes deals with the USA, with Qatar, with Saudi Arabia... Since the early days Fifa has been a corrupted agency, they know they have a ton of power because they manage the most popular sport in the world and they take advantage of that. It's really "not" that complicated, FIFA is western as well as USA too, Russia is not. There is really nothing shocking about it, I understand the need and request to be "fair", but it is not going to be fair in the sense that why be equal to yourself like you are to others. Think of it like animal farm, some are more equal than others. FIFA is a western organization so they care about western nations a lot more, and they are willing to let others participate too, but they do not have to if they don't want to.

USA also doesn't have a war on their own land, Russia did, while most of the battle is in Ukraine, there were moments when Russian lands were attacked too, USA has no issues like that. I would say the bigger problem is not the war on Iran, but ICE and immigrants. Because any world cup enjoyer who goes there, could be facing problems with ICE, and there is no guarantee that we won't. That would be a lot more important reason why the cup shouldn't have been there.

IFAB approves the decision to strengthen VAR. VAR will have power to check the second yellow card and corner kick. These rules will be implemented in the WC 2026.

IMO, i like these rules update. I've seen enough so many wrong given yellow card, and VAR will make it become reversible. Beside that using VAR to check the corner kick is also good considering so many clubs in football are abusing it for the time wasting purpose.

So these VAR update will give more clarity when there was wrong yellow card given by the referee. It's also limiting the team to disturbing the goalie like what we see in so many games.

I'm in support of any rules that will make the game more fairly to every participants. The introduction of var in the first place has helped the game to a great extent. So many wrong calls by the referees were corrected by var. So if IFAB thinks there is need to make some upgrade and introduce the technology into other aspects of the game that was neglected, I'm in full support of it as it it will benefit everybody.

Do you really think Infantino would ever in his life dare to say anything against Donald Trump let alone against the whole American nation? There are different rules for different people. If Russia was banned from FIFA for invading Ukraine, then the same should be the case with Israel (for invading Gaza/Lebanon) and the United States (Iran/Venezuela). Ideally I would like a solid separation between sports and politics and would like to see everyone participating in the World Cup. I have always been curious to see if Iran would be granted pass to play in the world cup since they are directly involved with the current conflicts that's going on in the middle east with bombing and strikes, as for the USA they are the ones hosting the world cup and it guarantees them automatic tickets but they too are actively involved in the war of which others like Russia have been sanctioned for so it's really not going to look good for FIFA if they actually not do anything which is quite clear since the USA are phasing their course as a just course.

Infantino's agreements were clear and have always been there. When someone is dirty inside, they have no problem making agreements like that, but this is clear. There are things that can be avoided, such as taking money. i don't think its necessary in his position where he already earns a lot. In fact, i think he's doing it more for political reasons at this point.

This is what I don't know at all, whether the games can be enjoyed or not. I think the security situation is now worse than ever and the WC has to have such high security standards that it might as well be terrifying to be there. If you are just sitting in front of a TV, it is all fine, but if you go there, I think I would not feel 100% safe. These big events may now be targets of terrorist attacks more than ever before.

FIFA presidents will forever be corrupt because getting that event is highly important for reputation building and many states have an interest in doing that. 2034 it is Saudi Arabia, 2022 it was Qatar and I am sure many people can think of a better place to host a WC than Qatar. I really don't expect anything from Fifa since the moment I saw Blatter refusing to award the World Cup trophy to Italy back in 2006 because he wanted France to win. And I was 18 years old at the time. I already knew how corrupted he was but doing something like that while the whole world was watching was a clear example of how they don't even try to hide the corruption, they know they are untouchables. Well, I came to read about the situation, and it's good that the topic is being discussed, since not everything is about soccer, regardless of what's happening.

Indeed, I think the United States is a safe host, but they've had attacks even at the Olympics before, and the issue is that, unfortunately, this World Cup will have a history of one of its hosts being involved in a conflict.

It's strange to think that FIFA gave its first Peace Prize to Donald Trump.

Unfortunately, soccer is quite political; let's hope it's the path to consolidating peace in the short term.

Unfortunately, football has become a multinational business. Before, we had a match on a Wednesday and it was exciting to think that we didn't have to wait until Sunday to watch football. Literally, as you mention, FIFA is capable of holding its World Cup and not suspending it even if bullets are hitting the teams' flags.
