There is no reason to consider the Qatar team strong. But we saw their strong defense against Switzerland in the first match. The match ended 1-1 . Switzerland managed to make a total of  27 shots in this match. They had 70% ball possession. Even then, Switzerland could not win the match. Switzerland's only goal was also from the penalty  spot. So I thought it  would not be easy to win against canada. But canada played great and  scored 6 goals in  this match. Qatar's defenders can't make any advantage in this match.

there are national teams that have improved a lot and i agree with this, but i don't think it is necessary to consider national teams that are purely there for the money and rarely for sporting merit, this is necessary to have a more impartial judgment of all, Switzerland is still better than many other national teams.

Exactly, this is something i don't understand, but it may also be useful for teams that don't spend much time together to actually understand their value on the pitch and who is better placed to play matches, certainly a test bed to try to find the right team that can always do better in official matches.

Managing, administering and coaching a team is not an easy task, otherwise we would all be coaches.
Then there are many managerial roles within the same team that are necessary to complete a team that has to make many decisions, all of them important.

friendly matches are always a risk, having played them with starting players, a week before an official match is simply recklessness, i have always thought this, but it is clear that they must somehow test the team in some way, and the only way, is to play these matches.

It's not even about Brazil having many young players will make them favourite over Haiti. Brazil are known for their quality performance when it comes to football. If you see Brazil, you have seen football. Haiti hasn't made name for themselves in football and they're no where to Brazil in football. I'm not surprised that Brazil dominated the game and defeat them with a good number of goals. Winning with three goals on a clean sheet isn't by mistake.

Brazil really dominated the match and won with 3 goals, a result they truly deserved. But I think Brazil might need to be more creative in building its attacks. That would be more useful when facing teams that tend to play strong defensive games. In the match, I saw several times that they struggled to find options for passing.

At this point, going three goals up and not conceding till the end of the game is something that is worth celebrating because we have seen that there no underdog in this world cup. you have to play to win and if you are able to score as much as three goals in a single game, it is surely a good game for the boys. After drawing against, all they needed to do is get this kind of result to prove that they are in for something big and for vini jnr that has scored in both matches, it is really going to be an exciting one for Carlo Ancelotti.
 

Brazil fans celebrated their first win against Haiti in a very exciting manner in the second match of the World Cup. Although they started the first match with a draw. Brazil scored three goals in the first half of the match but had several chances in the second half but they failed to score. You are right that every team that has qualified for the World Cup is strong and there are no underdogs among them. The teams are selected through a series of qualifying processes and almost every team is worthy of winning the World Cup trophy. Haiti's players performed well but Carlo Ancelotti team impressively successfully resisted the opponent's attacks and did not concede a single goal.

When i concurred with 7juju when he said among the host nations of the 2026 world cup he see the USA going far in this tournament some persons said it is because the USA won their first match that is the reason i am saying the USA will go far in this tournament. I am happy with the performance of the USA and their 2:0 win against Australia because the USA just proved they can go far in the tournament. The USA is already to the round of 32, and they just need to win their match in that round to go far in this tournament and prove me right.

Well, we already have the first team to qualify: Mexico, who, with 6 points, have secured a place in the round of 16.
Canada and Switzerland are both virtually through; a draw in their head-to-head match would be enough. A real stunner, just like the one pulled off against Italy many years ago in the European Championship.
Tonight, I expect the USA to secure their place in the round of 16 as well.

Mexico, which has never won an opening match of the World Cup, in the end wins it and also qualifies, the team that disappointed me most of all was Turkey, really disappointing, such a strong squad it's a shame to see it eliminated, really a shame but this is football, if there's no chance you cant get through.

The shot is very powerful and accurate, so that goal for Paraguay is very deserved but after that Turkey tried to attack and created enough pressure against Paraguay. Even they luckily got one player advantage in extra minutes of the first half, they had a full second half for attacking and finding an equalizing goal. They shots a lot but similarly to a first match with Australia, their players could not score any goal. Two defeats after two matches and with new rules from FIFA for World Cup 2026, as results from head-to-head matches will be counted first and play more important role than goal difference, this means Turkey have to end World Cup 2026 very early.

All the Turkey players should be ashamed of themselves because what kind of performance is that from them? To be honest if anyone tells me that Turkey will be among the countries that will get eliminated from the World Cup i will not believe because they have good players that play for big clubs, they have Arda Güler, Yidiz and others from top clubs in Europe and see how they end up without scoring a single goal against two countries they played against, 3 goals conceded and 0 goal score in two games and that is a big poor performance.

Two defeats with a total score of 0-3 in games where Türkiye were favorites is certainly a surprise. They no longer have a mathematical chance of second place, and third place is only possible if several conditions are met, and as I understand it, it won't be the third place that guarantees a playoff spot (though who knows). In any case, I don't believe they'll be able to beat the US team by a significant margin in their final game. It will be terrible if they fail to score a single goal in the tournament.

How Switzerland manage to end in a draw is what I don't understand, like on a Norm there's no way Qatar can face a team like Switzerland, the fact is this is the most mysterious FIFA world cup I'm seeing since I started watching football ball, like you never can predict it with confidence, you must have one or two teams that will do the otherwise, I know how much I've lost in this world cup tournament, but I will keep calm for now till we go past this group stage maybe next round will be more predictable.

Many people, including myself, were disappointed by Brazil's goal feast. They scored three goals in the first half, and the match ended 3-0. Raphinha and Endrick's goals were disallowed for offside. From what I've seen, this Brazilian team can't be champions. They don't have the spirit of a championship-winning team. Cunha played very well today, but I think Brazil will struggle to score in the later rounds. Even Haiti created chances. They almost scored from a corner kick, but it didn't happen.

With all that squad quality, they couldn't beat Paraguay?! Then the manager in charge should be sacked already after the third round. It should be a huge slap to tue players and also the management. The football federation of Turkish national team has got to do something immediately.

As for Pochettino, two wins in two game has seen him being praised. The next phase will be his major test to see what he can do with them but congratulations to him nonetheless for the wins already. They already considers him as Pep Guardiola in the US as a result 9f these wins.

England showed a lot of brilliance yesterday on the pitch yesterday against Croatia. Croatia had a weak defense which was unable to stop England attackers from penetrating their defense easily. Harry Kane the goal opener for his team was able to double his goal since no defender could stop him. A great start for the English men.

From the performance I saw them give out against Croatia England is definitely going to top this group. I don't want to sound too optimistic but I see England going through all the way to at least the semi finals of the world cup if they can continue to play this way because they have the quality of players to execute their game plan.

If England can maintain, or even improve upon the performance they showed against Croatia, they could very well top the group with a perfect points. The English squad is truly blessed with a star-studded roster. I’m also optimistic that England can go even further in the World Cup, perhaps all the way to the semifinals. England’s performance this time around is truly different from before. They’re now playing as a cohesive unit, and this is excellent for maintaining their strong form.

Sporting merit obviously involves money, because if there is no tangible reward I do not think it will be worth the rime or national interest of any team. So i am wondering how you can separate these two. The money actually makes the merit something worth committing to, because even in showing the interest to commit to sporting merit,  money is involved and if that merit is does not have a financial compensation,  it will win the hearts of only but a few persons which will in turn defeat the actual aim and purpose of the whole idea,  so both Money and sporting merits are necessary.

A big disappointment for Turkey indeed, it's even more worrisome that they haven't scored any goal in two games and that's not even the funny par, Turkey is the first team to have made the most attempts without scoring a single goal across two games. 62 shots in two games and no goal, that's a staggering number. Paraguay scored in the second minute after kickoff, got a red card before the first half whistle due to the new law that has now taken place. Miguel Almirón was sent off after covering his mouth while talking to an opponent, his the first player to fall victim of this new rule therefore, he paid for it. I wonder if his not aware of this rule.

Sincerely, there performance is nothing to write about. They aren't trying at all. We have seen them perform better than this is there previous encounters in this world stage, and even in other competitions.  Paraguay have appeared sometimes in the world cup tournament, but I believe they are no where near Turkey. It's clear that they are already out of the tournament from the group stages. Lossing there first two matches is something very demoralizing. I expected them to play better, but there performance is just too poor. There lose against Australia is somehow understandable, but this lose to the Paraguay team is what I can't explain. Let's see if they can be able to grab at least a point in this competition.
