Turkey is not a very strong team but I think they have good players and are stronger than Paraguay. But Paraguay has performed quite well and they are still alive although there is a possibility of them reaching the knockout stage. They may not make it to the knockout stage, it is normal that their performance can never be expected. However, it is true that USA is in very good form at the moment and seems to be a threat to the big teams. In this group they will definitely qualify for the knockout stage and will fight to survive till the end. I see USA as the strongest team in this group, they have already qualified and their performance is also very good.

Turkey's defeat against Paraguay surprised me a lot. Especially when Paraguay was reduced to 10 men in the first half and Turkey couldn't use that opportunity to win the match in the entire second half. The fight for them has already become very difficult, but they still have a chance. The last two matches of Group D are Turkey vs USA and Paraguay vs Australia. If Paraguay vs Australia is a draw, then Turkey is out for sure, but if either team loses in this match and Turkey can win by at least 2-4 goals, then Turkey will have a chance to survive in the World Cup. In this case, they will definitely pray for Paraguay to lose to Australia, because this equation is easy for them. Even if Paraguay loses by only 1 goal, a win for Turkey will be enough to keep them in the World Cup. However, the most difficult task for Turkey is to beat USA, because they are a very strong team now.

These games should be really entertaining and interesting altogether being that these are big teams meeting each other even as the Germany Vs Ivory coast game isn't seeming so for some people. Im really dissapointed at Turkey,they dont have the players to score and they didnt score a single goal and shooted at the goal at least 55 times and couldnt score for me that is really impossible. I think they could have done more if they had a decent striker that can score goals. Really a shame they looked like a good team that can do a lot in this world cup.

I’m rooting for Germany to win this match. Although it won’t be as easy for Germany as it was in their first match, where they won by a landslide against Curaçao. I predict the Germany vs Ivory Coast match will be a close one, and it looks like there won’t be many goals scored.

Brobbery is on fire today. I use to watch his boy in Sunderland.  He is very good. He is not a top scorer that will give you up.to 20 goals in a league season but defenders are scared to have a one on one situation with him, due to his strength, clinical vision. The young lad has set the tone for the Dutch side. Hopefully they will win in the end. However, Sweden has a good striker in Gyokeres.

When you do not care much, and the coach just puts up whatever his favourite players are and not really get ready for any opponent, then you could be ten times better and will still lose. Turkey never got ready specifically for any team, they had a system, and they had favourites of the coach, and they played the same way against EVERYONE.

They also qualified for this world cup after 24 years of not being here, so they got snob a bit, they assumed they were great, not realizing they only managed to do it because it's 48 teams now and not 32, if it was 32 they would not be here again. In the end, they lost, because you do not stick to same people and same tactic against every team, that won't work, and it did not work. They should fire the coach, and get someone who is better.

Turkey were just too below the expectations from them. For a quarter finalist in Euro 2024 this performance was simply terrible!

I mean you can have ball possession and shoot a ton of times. But the thing that matters is how effective your attacks and shots are...

I don't know if this is true or not, but as far as I know the world cup is now no longer dependent on goal difference but on H2H, so it can be said that Turkey steps have stopped and they have to go home early if it is based on H2H, because whatever the results of Paraguay and Australia and even if Turkey wins over America, they have lost H2H. Look at the sadness of the players on the field when they lost to Paraguay, that might explain everything.

Against Paraguay, Türkiye had 32 shots and 78.5% possession against 10 men as one of the players got a red card at the beginning of the second half and yet Türkiye could not score a goal says a lot about their ability.

The Turkish government where very funny the way they sent the Turkish team to the World Cup with a high convey taking the team to the airport, instead of them looking for better players who can score goals, that Turkish team lacks strikers, they struggled to score goals which was the Challenge they were going through, I told someone who had high expectations on Turkish team that they’re not going to go far in the competition because they lacks good strikers, it was more like a small boy in Arda Guler was running the team, unfortunately my prediction came through and they’re already out after loosing their two first game, I really don’t understand how Turkey lost to Paraguay with a man down, it was bad and terrible performance from Turkish teams.

You can't compare the strength of Germany to that of Ivory Coast because Germany is a team that is full of great players that plays in top leagues. Germany won a mediocre team last week which was expected but despite that Ivory Coast is far better than Curacao, it doesn't mean they can trouble Germany. Just because Ivory Coast won Ecuador in their first match is not enough for them to challenge Germany. Ivory Coast even struggled before they won that last match against Ecuador because they played draw till 90 minutes before Amad Diallo scored the winning goal. I know you might want to use the International friendly match between France and Ivory Coast to challenge that if Ivory Coast could win France that they can win Germany but don't even go there because friendly matches are not to be used to define the strength of a team or how they can perform in real competition.

Actually watching the Dutch play today, it seems to me that they are desperate to win against Sweden. After drawing against Japan in their first match, the team realized that if they don't win today, they will fall far behind, as a result this team is playing much more aggressively against Sweden in their second match of the FIFA World Cup today. Crazy to think that the last time they qualified for a WC (before this one) they ended up winning bronze medals!

That was 24 years ago though and that team was notoriously stronger but it is still a bit sad their comeback was so short this time. They still deserved better, just were very unlucky.

I think Turkey’s chances of advancing to the knockout stage are gone, and their elimination from the World Cup is now certain. In their final match against the USA, I’m not sure if Turkey can beat the USA, even a draw seems unlikely given how poorly they’ve played in their last two matches. Therefore, in my view, the only teams in Group D with a chance to advance alongside the USA are Australia and Paraguay, who just happen to face each other in their final match, a decisive showdown.
