tonight, Iran did more than just play a world cup match. in the face of all setbacks, a tough opponent, missing players and the worst case scenario, they stepped onto the pitch, fought their hearts out and took a point. we ve got to congratulate them...

Each team has its greatest and weakest moment in competitions. For Belgium that was chaotic, even their game against Egypt was close to end with a draw. I expected way more from them sincerely.
As for Iran, they were good driving Belgium to a draw. They have to win against Egypt next time to qualify. If they did it, they will be one of the surprises of this version of the World Cup. Some teams in their region which used to be better, received a lot of goals and were humiliated.

17 out of the 26 players on the Iranian national team come from iranian league and that league hasn't been played due to the war. These men haven't properly played football for about a year.
And since they aren't allowed to stay in the US, they are staying in Mexico. they travel from Mexico before every match. As soon as their matches end, they are forced out of the country without even being allowed to take a shower in peace...
They are treated like deported refugees. US police stand over them, telling them to hurry up.

The league was stopped in February, so it's only about 4 months without football (they probably still played friendly games all the time), not that big of a deal.

The shower thing is obviously an unnecessary exaggeration. Don't have any info on the rest, but if what you said is true it's really sad and inhumane.

Yup another surprise comes from Cape Verde somehow they managed to draw against 2 strong teams like Spain and Uruguay clearly it cannot be underestimated, Cape Verde only needs one more point to qualify for the next round, right? well I think they could have drawn against Saudi Arabia or even won. I don't underestimate Saudi Arabia but I saw how Cape Verde relied on defense in the previous match and it wasn't just luck. By the way all my bets lost just because of Cape Verde, I wasn't sure they could get any points against Uruguay but I was wrong.

The world cup tournament has been filled with lots of surprises from different teams. The other day, we saw ivory coast give Garmany a tough Contest, if not for Undav the substitute who came in and turned things around for the Garman's. Egypt won convincingly last night. So many things happening, and we hope to see more of it. Thats football, that's the thrill it brings. I don't like to watch matches that are easily predictable..I like it when the both teams can't predict the outcome, but just doing there best to see if they will come out celebrating. And tags what we have been seeing so far in this competition.

Belgium couldn't make use of their golden generation before and now they are struggling so much. Lukaku is finished. De Bruyne also can't make any score contribution. They are both old of course.

There are teams we do write off when they were selected in their various groups and now look at how they make the favorite of each group to be. Talking about this group I never expected to see Iran causing much problems for the countries we see as favorite, imagine Belgium struggling to get their first 3pt in the last 2 games, is really sad to see these guys in such position and if care is not taken they might play all 3 games without a win.
Well, congratulations to team Mo Salah, they are on the right path, after getting a 1-3 win early this morning it shows that they now know what they need to do to keep themselves at the top, I'd love to see a complete win not a draw on their last group game because winning that final game against Iran, it should be a must win to give them 7pt and I can't say Iran isn't going to be a problem but they should watch out too because Iran are also looking for a way to make it out from the group stage.

Even though Cape Verde Town made history in this World Cup by holding the current Euro champion Spain to a goalless draw, I never expected them to earn a point against Uruguay, so I was surprised that they held Uruguay to a 2-2 draw, making it two draws for them in the two matches they have played so far. The highest result Uruguay can get from Spain is a draw, if Cape Verde Town can beat Saudi Arabia they will qualify for the round of 32.

At exactly 2 minutes into the game Türkiye played against Paraguay, Matías Galarza scored what appears to be the fastest goal in the competition and ended the position race between both teams, eliminating Türkiye from the world cup.The swedish side used the 3-5-2 formation against the Dutch team that seem to have more threatening attacking force. That was a weird one for me, especially since they were not able to fall back defensively when the force was against them was much. It took Brobbey 5 minutes to figure out how weak their defense was, and penetrated with those slides, delivering the fine crosses into the net. Then on, goals started flying in.For Germany, there was no way I'd believe Ivory Coast will win so easily. Even after 3 goals were cancelled for the German side, they still managed to secure their position in the group.

I was really impressed with the way Cape Verde performed in this World Cup. I was not even aware of this country before this. When they held Spain to a draw and their goalkeeper was incredible and I was surprised when they scored the first goal. If they play like this, it is very possible that they will defeat a team like Saudi Arabia and advance to the next stage.

Today we have Argentina facing Austria and France facing Iraq. I am curious to see whether Messi will continue his goal scoring streak.

The goalkeeper of Iran have had a great match. He made more than 7 saves and has won the "player of the match" award.
Belgium was on the brink of losing the game, but Thibaut Courtois also made some good saves. Cabo Verde is showing a pretty decent performance after taking advantage of Uruguay's mistake in defense and equalizing the result at 2-2. I think that Cabo Verge has what it takes to win against Saudi Arabia and to qualify for the elimination stage. Argentina and Austria are playing today. Even as Belgium could not lead but still they are not sure of how the group would favour them because if they were at the second position it would have been okay for them but I'm seeing Iran as there second country now so actually this would make there third match the final decision on the group, if they would qualify or otherwise because if they draw to New Zealand and Iran also draw to Egypt, Belgium will not qualify because Iran and Egypt will be the only two countries. Egypt gave New Zealand the best beaten of the group and they are the only country that have won in that group.

I’m rooting for Germany to win this match. Although it won’t be as easy for Germany as it was in their first match, where they won by a landslide against Curaçao. I predict the Germany vs Ivory Coast match will be a close one, and it looks like there won’t be many goals scored.

Ivory Coast isn't Curaçao for sure but it is not that top either. I expect a victory for Germany unless Ivory Coast blocked totally the game and drive them to a tie without goals which is less likely to occur.

As I mentioned earlier, the match between Germany and Ivory Coast turned out to be a close one with few goals scored. Germany secured a hard-fought victory over Ivory Coast after falling behind early on due to a goal by Kessie in the first half. However, Germany went on to score two goals in the second half, leading them to a 2-1 victory over Ivory Coast. Germany has now secured its spot as the Group E champion.

In this group, only the German team can perform reliably, every player of the German team is like a roar. However, the German team is the strongest of the four teams, and they are sure to go to the next group, but the German team is not as strong as the Cade dIvoire team. They could not be offensive enough in this match, but the German team scored two consecutive goals on the counterattack and finally secured the victory.

As many people predicted before the tournament began, Germany was certain to advance from this group. That’s exactly what happened. And indeed, the only team in this group that posed a real challenge to Germany was Ivory Coast. And we saw just how hard Germany had to work to defeat them. Now that they’ve secured a spot in the Round of 32, Germany will likely rotate their players when they face Ecuador in their final Group E match. This is so that their key players will be in top form for the knockout stage.

Saudi Arabia had a poor defense. Whike Spain has one of the best squad going into the world cup tournament. The SA coach have to do better because I saw so many lapses and errors. Poor communication skills within the players. They can't keep offside trap. Can't clear the ball out of the goal. However, I also believe Spain is shaky. I will know if they are bette when they face one of the best team soon.

Saudi Arabia has been very poor in this tournament this is not their year at all and I’m not sure they can do anything against high performing Cape Verde. Cape Verde have been very impressive in this tournament they just might be the upsetting team of this World Cup and I’m sure they’ll go far. They’re making a statement in this tournament.

I also think the same as you as regards Spain, I feel they’ve not been properly tested maybe until we get to the knockout phase and see them challenge a strong team.
The coach has to be top notch with his decisions and the squad he chooses.

Yeah! I really do want to see Iranians move on to the next level. For a team who's not played football and trained for months, they have done quite well in this competition.
One more game for them, against Egypt, they have to do all they can to win or draw that game. I should be supporting Egypt as African bit I don't know why I'm rooting for Iranian national team more.

Norway will face Senegal. If Senegal wants to advance from the group stage, they’ll have to show everything they’ve got in this match. We’ll see if a draw will be enough for them, but they have to play to win. It’s certain to be a tough match for both teams. Verde are a very underrated team at first and will be a team that will not qualify, but that is wrong, their two matches, they have not lost, impressively their opponents are one of the strong candidates, Spain, and a team that remains on paper a level of strength that exceeds them, namely Uruguay. Verde can still qualify automatically if Uruguay loses to Spain and they beat the Saudis, but even if it doesn't go that way they can still target a top 3 spot, I believe with their play in the previous two matches they can achieve a positive result against Saudi Arabia.

Spain, which did make a mistake in its first match, can now breathe a sigh of relief with its victory over Saudi Arabia. and with this result, I think Spain is virtually guaranteed to advance to the next round. I’m pretty confident that Spain will likely win their next match as well. i think the draw in their first match against Cape Verde was simply because Cape Verde played in full defensive mode. And actually, if Cape Verde had been a little more aggressive at the time, they might have ended up conceding as many goals as Saudi Arabia did.

Uruguay will face Cape Verde today. And to be honest, I wouldn’t dare bet on that match. Cape Verde shouldn’t be underestimated because they held Spain to a draw in their first match.

Saudi Arabia managed to make a comeback, but this was too late with they have good last 60 minutes which keep them on good and they restrict Spain from having any thing more. Now in few hours Uruguay going to face Cape Verde this is also going to be tricky game because Uruguay is having no win in last 5 games and this is going to be another challenge for them with Cape Verde will be on with another solid defensive strategy.

And it seems like what I was afraid of actually happened. Luckily, I didn’t pick Uruguay to win in their match against Cape Verde. because, as we saw, the result was a 2-2 draw. I didn’t get a chance to watch it because I wasn’t on break during that match. However, I’ve watched the highlights. And yeah, I’m still impressed by Cape Verde’s style of play. they really can’t be underestimated. They held Uruguay to a draw not because of luck, but because they were capable of doing it. Just like when they faced Spain.

I think Saudi Arabia will be in big trouble when they face Cape Verde. And I think Cape Verde will finish at least in third place, unless Saudi Arabia regains their confidence and plays well again. Then, beating Cape Verde seems like something they could do.

Afte drawing to Saudi Arabia Uruguay still went on to draw with Cape Verde, as it stands their chances of going to the next round is becoming slim, if they couldn't win the underdogs of the group I wonder how they'll do when they meet Spain. Impressive performance from Cape Verde anyway, despite being in third position the draw has increased their chances of going to the knock out stage.

 So far, Saudi Arabia has just managed to get 1 point from the draw against Uruguay, but I don't think they can withstand the Cape Verdeans, my expectations for Cape Verde after drawing to Uruguay has gone high, I'll bet on them to win, I hope they don't disappoint me with a draw or lose.

Now you know you're overstating things 

You sounds as if Iranian players are being treated like slaves in the US. I understand the situation and tension in all this but let not exaggerate issues beyond their limit. Iran earlier wanted to opt out from participating in this year's world cup due what's going on between them and the US. But agreement was later reached between them on how to handle the situation. It's a security protocol pre agreed by both parties even though it still a discrimination.
