I lost the bet but I am not upset because Cape Verde have proven that they are capable of standing tall. Although they did not reach the next round but they have left their reputation all over the world, they are a normal team and scored two goals against Argentina team although Argentina scored another goal in the last minute to secure the victory. Argentina was able to win after 120 minutes of competition.
This can never be a source of pride for the Argentina team, because Cape Verde team was weak but they have exposed the blind eyes of the blind fans. Yes, it is that Vozinha he used to get offers from many big clubs but because of his age he may not be able to involve himself in this football career for long. I also feel for Vozinha because if not that he is old already and about to retire from football, his market value would have increased and big teams would have come for him but it is also a good thing that he will be ending his career in such a heroic way. The Cape Verde team as a whole was something else, they played brilliantly and didn't feel intimated at all because apart from Saudi Arabia, all the teams they have played are big teams with players that plays in top leagues but they didn't allow any of them to win at full-time. Kudos to Cabo Verde, they proved until the very end that they are an extremely solid team despite not having any star player. They demonstrated that against Spain it wasn't luck, they are actually way better than anybody expected because when you also draw against Uruguay and lose only at the extra time against the current World Cup champion, well, you're clearly doing something very well.

Yesterday's match between Portugal and Croatia was very good, both teams performed very well, both teams were very good in terms of attack, Portugal also continued to attack with all their might and Croatia also continued to attack until the end, but Croatia missed many chances in the match, they made great attacks which were narrowly missed, this was due to their bad luck. The whole thing about Cape Verde is just special, when they started no one gave them a chance to even come out from the group stage and since this is their first time of playing in the World Cup they really made a statement, they let the whole World know that they have players that never had the chance of playing in top divisions, even at that they can still do well.
