Morocco really played a so bad 1st half. I expect more from them in this WC so I hope they don't mess up in the 2nd half... They were favoured highly by bookies from the start. My choice would also be them in case of betting.

Morocco played poorly in the first half but they managed to score a goal after the second half started. There is still some time left in the match but they still haven't had a chance to attack well enough. Canada put them under a lot of pressure since scoring in the 50th minute. Canada's continuous attacks forced Morocco to play full defense. But a counter attack in the 82nd minute of the match gave them the opportunity to score their second goal. Morocco used that opportunity very well. Morocco only had a few attacks in the whole match and two of them were successful. Canada vs Morocco was 0-2 until the 85th minute.

The way Canada started the match with an attack, I thought they might score a goal very quickly, but Morocco controlled the attack started at a while. The first half ended 0-0, the attack that was expected from Morocco in the match did not happen. Since there were no goals in the first half, the uncertainty about the match is now deepening, it is now more difficult to say who will be ahead in the second half. If the match continues like this, then the match is more likely to go to extra time, but it is also possible that the match could go to extra time with a score of 1-1.

So far Morocco has been able to hold the Canadian players to the 75th minute with a goal lead and I have the believe they will most likely finish with this one goal advantage or possibly a second goal. I don't see Canada scoring any goal at this point as the Moroccan players are not giving such chances at all. The dangerous part is when Morocco allows Canada to score a goal at this point, it may result to them going to extra time and it may give Canada the leverage seeing how hardworking they are to make sure they win. Like I said, I do not see such thing working as we are looking up to Morocco to reach the finals this time around with the way the African players have raised the bar this tournament though with the latest elimination of Ghana and Cape Verde, it is declining the African presence in the world cup challenge

What was this? I was surprised, I thought maybe Canada would score and tie the score somehow, but Morocco has scored another goal (82 minutes), now the score is 0-2. Now all my expectations are gone, Canada will have to score 2 goals to equalise the game, but only about 6 minutes left in the game, maybe that won't be possible anymore. Now the match is completely in Morocco's hands, Morocco will now play defense with full force, even if Canada tries hard and scores 1 goal, but also after that Morocco will win the match.

The match is now 1-1. Egypt took the lead just  13 minutes into the first half. I expected a better performance from Salah. But he is  not performing that well.

Egypt conceded a goal early in the second  half due to a mistake by Egyptian defender Hany. The match is tied 1-1 after  70 minutes. Both teams continue to attack. I honestly thought we  would see a more organized  performance from egypt. The team disappointed me. I will not be  surprised if Australia wins.

The match has ended right now and both teams couldn't be separated. Mohammed Salah didn't perform as expected. He crossed a wonderful ball in extra time, Rabia would have use the cross to give Egypt a 2-1 lead but Australia goalkeeper made a wonderful save to keep the match on level terms.
Mohamed Hany was so disappointed after scoring an own goal. He's now the first player in history to score two own goals in a single World Cup tournament.

Egypt national football team won the match at the end and they won this match at the penalties because they did 4 penalties in this match which was great effort by that team and Australia national football team did 2 penalties in this match and before that both teams score was equal in this match. Hany was a person who did second goal of the match and made match interesting because before that match was not interesting because there was only 1 goal in the first half of the match and in the second half we saw goal and after that we saw penalties in this match. Saber did perfect goal in this match and he got confidence after that And Rabia did second goal of penalty And Salah did third goal of penalty and Abdelmaguid did last goal at penalty.

I never expected Cape Verde to raise the bar so high against Argentina and made them wait until extra time before they were able to win. I rated France and Argentina to be the best teams in this World Cup so far because I haven't seen any reason to place Argentina above France or place France above Argentina. But after Argentina got exposed last night by Cape Verde, I now see France as the best team so far in this tournament and they are the favorite to lift the World Cup. Messi is amazing in this tournament, he scored against Cape Verde lead the World Cup top scorer chart.

Against Spain, all of us thought it was a mistake and they got lucky about it that's why Spain couldn't defeat them, just this morning they proved it wasn't a mistake. Those guys actually played football that will suffocate the opposition, imagine Argentina couldn't score more than one goal against Cape Verde in a whole 90 minutes match. Cape Verde equalised and stretched the game into extra time, I'm not sure anyone was able to predict the outcome of the match in normal time because majority will give it to Argentina. It's not because Cape Verde is an African country but I think FIFA needs to give those guys a special award for their heroics in this tournament. They brought in a special spice to this tournament because lots of tongues are all talking about them.

They actually surprised me because I didn't watch their first game against Spain so I never really knew what to expect but looking at how they performed against Argentina I was mesmerized on how they were able to meet up and play the ball so well that it actually shocked the whole of football world because even the Argentine themselves were surprised to how it is possible that they couldn't match the pressing of the cape Verde and if there was more time on the clock, I won't be surprised if Argentina comceeded another goal against them.

They were eliminated but they managed to go unbeaten in normal times against the big clubs and I don't think it will be easy for any team but Cape Verde managed to surprise in this period of the World Cup.

They faced three giants in the tournament and performed incredibly well against all of them. They drew against Spain, Uruguay and now the world champions. This is their first world cup but it took the defending champions a whole lot of times to luckily edge against them.

Cape Verde should be proud of their performance. It's one of the best performance we've seen from Africa side in this world cup. They played with utmost courage and quality against defending champions and one of the favourite. This is how football should be, they played without any complex. Some other African countries are just happy playing with with Messi on same pitch.

The biggest underdog in the history of World Cup.

They know when playing 1 on 1 they are bound to lose but they make a win with their advantage playing collectively as a team and that is what makes them superior to a team ranked 60.

Their goalkeeper Vozinha is also impressive despite his age and this is very worthy of appreciation even seeing their followers on social media from just under 100k have now greatly increased.

today's Canada does not seem capable enough to fight Morocco and the difference is now very far and the possibility that they will give up even though time is still left but Morocco who has got 2 goals is certainly more confident.

Poor first half for Morocco but just the first half that Canada wanted but second half changed for Morocco and they was a drop in intensity for Canada in the second half.
This isn't Morocco best performance but they showed that they don't need to be at their best to score goals, they made the most of all the shot on target they got even though it was few and that was the difference between them and the Canadians.
Morocco move forward to either face France or Paraguay and fir me they have great chance to move even further than that and even go all the way.

The African teams makes it to the Quarter finals and it might seem to be the only African that will be in the competition to this stage, Egypt might be in their final round. Morocco has been so impressive no doubt, over the years it's been them that has been representing the continent in football. One among the 3 hosts is out, we are left with just 2, let's see what happens to the remaining. I didn't watch the this game but I think it was intense judging from the numbers of yellows card, I don't think I have seen such since this tournament began.

A job well done by Morocco as they keep making Africa proud, they executed the game without losing focus that even when they were winning they still kept pushing for more goals in the Canadians goal post court. Next game for tonight is France Vs Paraguay. That's a strong game am waiting to see and should France win that game then it's a sure banger that we would be seeing them in the World Cup final again.

Morocco remains the best team Africa has got to offer for this tournament, I knew they were going to go far in this tournament and once again, they come up with a stunning defeat for one of the tournament’s host Canada. Maybe it is because Morocco was the favorite team to win the match that is the reason  you said Morocco played poorly in the first half. But looking at the team they were playing against, I will not say that Morocco played poorly in the first half against a team like Canada, because I expected Morocco to face even more challenges than what they saw in the first half. But it was not like that.So to me, Morocco still played the first half as expected because they were the team in control of the ball possession, and they did not concede any goals in the first half. Or is it because Morocco was not able to score in the first half that made you say they performed poorly?But whatsoever, they have scored two goals, although I did not expect them to do it without Canada being able to score even one goal. Morocco did not play as well as expected, but Canada played worse than expected. They seemed very aggressive in the beginning, but their attacks were not strong. On the other hand, Morocco played defensively, but their attacks were strong, from which they scored 3 goals. However, the final result was within expectations, but I expected the match to go to extra time.

Morocco is the first team to qualify for the quarterfinals, but I don't think they will be able to go further than that. Because their opponent in the quarterfinals will be France / Paraguay, the most likely opponent is France. Because the chances of Paraguay winning against France are very low, if Paraguay can beat France, then Morocco's journey may be long.

I dont know how they won so heavily after first half i was thinking Canada was surely gonna win this match and go into the next round. But in the second half Morocco just dominated and with that early goal in second half just broke Canada and it was over,after second goal it was just sealed. Morocco I know will beat Canada but what I never saw coming was this kind of convincing win. After the heroic performances of Canada in the ongoing FIFA World Cup, I had concluded that they'll be a tough opponent for Morocco but the African team cruised to victory like Morocco was never a match. After countless cases of seeing them underestimated by myself, they do well enough to leave me in awe. I know they don't see themselves as Africans but they have dome so well to represent Africa. They will most definitely have a good fight when they face France during the next game. I see why they are given the go ahead to be amongst the host countries hosting the next fifa world cup competition  ( In Spain, Portugal and Morocco ).

I've already predicted that they'll do better than any other African team in the competition so I'm not surprised to see them displaying such an incredible performance against a Canada side that's also been very impressive. It was a very convincing performance from the North African country who have now reached the quarter finals for the second consecutive time in the FIFA World Cup.

For the France Vs Paraguay game, I think it's France will win that one effortlessly like Morocco did against Canada. That's the game I'm looking forward to enjoy

Canada have become the first Host Nation to be knocked out of this tournament after this loss even though the others might join them soon… they have quite a good start at this World Cup because I seriously wasn’t expecting them to come as far as the Round of 16.  

Congratulations to Morocco for this well deserved win and they’re absolutely great, they keep representing the African continent as a whole with this world class performance, they’ll meet France in their next match (France will obviously win Paraguay tonight) and France are a way better team than them but let’s see how the quarterfinal between them goes…France are clear favorite tho..
