this world cup is unfolding that proves fifa is anything but independent. Coming on the heels of Qatar 2022, the rescinded red card was the final straw, utterly destroying global trust in FIFA. I've seen, FIFA depends on who gives them money, in fact we've seen how referees treat players and don't defend them from what the United States does with ICE. Truly scandalous, not to mention the price of tickets, which is very high for mere mortals.

Incredibly, Argentina came back from 2-0 down to snatch a 3-2 victory from Egypt in an absolute thriller of a match. At 0-2, I didn't believe the Argentines could even equalize, given how intelligently Egypt was defending. But they dug deep and claimed the win. The Egyptians deserve massive praise for their disciplined performance inside the box, but Argentina ultimately managed to breach that defense and certainly deserved to move on.
I am really surprise to see the comeback within the last 15 minutes of the game; although I don't trust Egypt due to how Argentina dominated them, I was expecting them to withstand the pressure, but Messi will always be Messi, he did really well alongside his teammates to make sure the help the team to win the match and they are all happy after the final whistle of the game because they did well to complete the comeback. Egypt team should blame themselves for this outcome, they should have tried their possible best to maintain their effort since they were able to hold the game to almost 80 minutes; they should have find a way to defend the game since they were leading by two goals. But from the moment they let the first goal in, I knew they will mess up because Argentina was dominating the game, that one goal was a motivation to them and was the reason they are able to complete the comeback. Congratulations to Argentina once again, I wish they will not win the World Cup back to back.

This was really a great comeback match for Argentina, the surprising performance at the end was great, Argentina scored 3 goals in just 13 minutes, 79 minutes, 83 minutes and 92 minutes, Egypt was leading 0-2 until 79 minutes, this whole time I thought maybe we were going to send goodbye to Argentina out of the World Cup today, but after that, Argentina turned the match around brilliantly, I really didn't expect such a great comeback, that Argentina really performed incredibly well at the end, and confirmed their position in the quarter finals.
And we will see which team will play against Argentina at the end of today's Colombia vs Switzerland match, which is going to start after about 80 minutes.

Guys, I need your predictions. Does Switzerland still have a chance to qualify? I know Colombia has more consistency and has some very skilled players like Luis Diaz. However, Switzerland also has a pretty strong defense that's difficult to penetrate. Honestly, since the upset in yesterday's match, I've been hoping Switzerland would pull off a surprise. But if Switzerland's chances of qualifying are very slim, I'll cash out to get odds 3.

Egypt has taken the early lead with a brilliant header by Ibrahim on the 15th minutes of the first half and it's 0-1. Wonders shall never ends in this world cup. Egypt started the game attacking Argentina and they got a reward for that. My problem now is that, will Egypt be able to hold on to their lead and win this game because in recent matches that Africa teams opened the scoreline, they end up losing the game. Argentina is not playing that impressive.
Egypt got the first goal but they must avoid the mistake they made in their last match against Australia where they scored and began to relax which made Australia to equalise. I know Argentina is not an easy team to win but Egypt need to take advantage of this 1 goal lead and make another attempt if they can get another goal. With what Egypt is playing after they scored, Argentina will get an equaliser because they just got a penalty but unfortunately, Messi missed the penalty for the second time in this world cup. Maybe it's not Messi's destiny to score through a penalty so he should better allow any of his teammates to play penalties because if they end up losing this match to Egypt he will be criticised for missing that penalty so he must avoid anything that will stain his good impression in the world cup. Egypt have double their lead 0-2 before hydration break and the goal came in on the 67th minutes by Abdelraouf with a sharp finish after his first goal was ruled out by VAR based on a foul that was committed which led to the goal. This time, it was a superb goal from a counter attack. I hope Egypt can defend their lead till the end. What a beautiful performance from the Egyptians. That's interesting, at last two African teams will advance to the next stages. Egypt made a correction of their match against Australia so they quickly scored a second goal to reduce Argentina's chances of getting an equaliser. Good to see that Ronaldo and Messi influence in the world cup is coming to an end, now we will have to talk about Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe who are in their prime. I feel sad for Lionel Messi because if he had scored that penalty it would have given his team the confidence to win but while they were hoping to equalize, Egypt scored a double and Argentina players became weak just like it happend to Brazil against Norway. Edit: I was still typing and didn't know that Argentina had leveled the score, oh poor Egypt. I just don't know what's wrong with African team in this world cup tournament alot of African team should have advance further but got missing it at the ending part of the match, last time it was Cape Verde they almost eliminated Argentina but at the end things turn back today too i almost thought that Egypt has qualify after scoring 2 after some time Argentina started scoring and scored 3 at a time within a short period. The ref wasn't even fair with his officiating i don't why they cancelled Egypt second goal before they later scored again.

The match is ending like a magic, just like Senegal match. From 79th minute to 90 + 2 minutes, Argentina scored 3 goals. Egypt lost to Argentina. Cristian Romero, Lionel Messi and Enzo Fernández consecutively did the work. So sorry for Egypt.
This is a major problem of almost all the african teams including local clubs. They can't play with full performance until the last second of the match. In important matches, Egypt either accept a goal from the beginning and spend the rest of the match time trying not to accept another with few attacks to get a draw. Or it makes one or two goals from first half then spend the rest of the time trying to save the score. Unfortunetly, players shows a clear weakness after time 70' which allows Argentina to take advantages from it. Egypt played a great 70 minutes but later it is a total chaos like if it is another team not the team who played the first half. Congratulations Argentina.

The Egyptians can only hold their heads up high for such an incredible performance today, no one expected them to perform as they did against Argentina, the Egyptian goal keeper was outstanding, making some really good saves and for over 70 minutes he was the one keeping Egypt in the game. The moment Argentina got their first goal then I knew they will score a second one because the pressure was much on Egypt. At some point I begin to question some of the referring decisions against Egypt especially in crucial moments leading to Argentina getting their winning goal by Enzo Fernandes. I think at this point what really makes the difference is the team Unity, Argentina have a really good team with strong leadership in Lionel Messi and they keep believing until the end and they got the win so congratulations to Argentina.

Incredible end to the Argentina vs Egypt game, how does Messi keep doing it?
I actually wanted Egypt to win, especially when they had a 2nd goal ruled out by VAR for literally nothing. Messi was there when Argentina needed him most, sign of a really top team and maybe potential champion, to come back when everything is against them.
Am a Messi fan and inasmuch as his last minute performance was not short of superb, the fact still remain that Argentina performance was disastrous and it was irritating to watch. How can a mature team like Argentina still depend entirely on Messi for there creativity. If they continue with this there performance am not sure they will even make it to the semi finals. Egypt really deserved this win and I still don't understand why that Salah's foul was not called which led to Argentina's third goal. The refereeing was terrible. I know this referee and his reputation and once again he proved me right

African countries need to change this mentality when it comes to World Cup competitions. How can you be leading by 2 goals and towards the final 10 minutes of the game, you throw the lead away and still lose the match. How hard can it be to just manage the game and finish strong. Honestly, Egypt were quite disappointing against Argentina. Same thing happened between Senegal and Belgium. It's like they lose focus when it matters most. You can't play well for 80 minutes and then collapse in the last 10. That's not bad luck, that's poor game management.

Egypt are not like Cape Verde Argentina played with in their round of 32. If Cape Verde was the one leading with this margin in this game, Cape Verde would have been able to hold Argentina not to score till the final whistle of the game is blown. Egypt defense was very porous and they also didn’t have confidence in themselves to win the game, so in the end, they had to face defeat. Egypt team should blame themselves for this outcome, they should have tried their possible best to maintain their effort since they were able to hold the game to almost 80 minutes; they should have find a way to defend the game since they were leading by two goals. When a team is under pressure, anything can happen and even in the least defend you would expect a defender to do, they make errors and cause their team to lose the game one end. Argentina really pressured them and in the end, they succumb to the pressure and lost the game. Argentina did well and I’ll say the victory was deserving of them.

Here we go guys... Argentina made a history... Never forget Messi is Messi.... Ahhh that's absolutely insane guys.... I am literally super emotions like am super shocked. To be honest I never expected this kind of challenging battle. However match was super competitive like initially Argentina was bit sloppy and due to this they conceded two goal and even Messi penalty make more stressful moment but that's God at King Lionel Messi made beautiful assist as well as spotted a bangers goal in dying minutes.... I will repeat the same thing I have been saying before now... There are going to be a lot of upsets in this WC. Egypt going 2 goals ahead wasn't a shocker, it would have been more surprising if they had made it through to the next round. The truth is, I have never felt this level of comfort and trust in a team like this Argentine sqaud. Despite trailing behind, i still had the hope of a comeback. As long as that little magic man is on the pitch, it's not over until the final whistle. The most interesting part of it is seeing how so many Messi haters around me, finally admitting who the best player is. Well, I guess the hatewatch didn't go as planned. Congrats to the Argentines, and a massive respect to the Egyptians for making it this far.

The last two matches were really tough for Argentina. Especially in this match when Egypt was leading 2-0 even after the second hydration break. At that time, most of the Argentine fans thought that Argentina was going to lose today's match. But what a great comeback by Argentina in the next 15 minutes. Especially Messi's second goal was great that they equalized. And I don't want to comment on the last goal. Maybe Salah could have been the victim of a foul there but the referee didn't take it into account and as a result, Argentina got the winning goal in the end on a counter attack.
If the foul on M. Salah is ruled a foul by the referee, this will result in the final goal being disallowed. This would be similar to the goal scored by Zico in the 58th minute, which was also disallowed simply because of a minor foul that the referee ruled was a foul. Unfortunately, the same standard wasn’t applied when M. Salah was fouled. But regardless of all that, the match was still an extraordinary one. Almost everyone had given up on Argentina in this match. but they truly surprised us by coming back from a two-goal deficit and even managing to take the lead in stoppage time, which ultimately secured their victory. Although there will certainly be debate afterward, as some of the referee’s decisions are bound to become topics of discussion on social media.

I wouldn't blame Egypt, the pressure on them was extraordinary, when it "seems" that the referee is whistling in favor of the opponent, it puts psychological pressure even if the referee (let's assume) is right. Look: Egypt had a goal disallowed for a foul that occurred not even during the attack itself, but before it. Before that, the referee had given a penalty in Argentina's favor without hesitation. I'm not sure if the situation had been reversed, a penalty would have been awarded. I can imagine that it is difficult to play when some players and teams are allowed more than others We all have a favorite team or player to watch and support, football should always be filled with fairness and that’s why VAR is invented. I am also a big fan of Messi, I loved his touches and how he made the difference, creating chances and scored the second goal. However, Egypt was better than Argentina today, if it wasn’t the dumb referee who gave everything for Argentina to win, we could see at least three goals for Egypt. What destroyed Egypt was the pressure knowing that you are not getting a fair chance to win. The simple and clear example that resumed what was happening behind the scenes is the last sequence where we could see an obvious foul for Salah, but the referee blindly asked them to continue, where Argentina managed to kill the match. To be honest, I cannot argue with anyone here saying the opposite. Things are clear, it doesn’t require from you to be an opportunist of Argentina or Messi to understand that, we love clean football that’s all.

I am happy Africa is proving them wrong.
This is unbelievable, I can't even believe it even when it's happening right in front of my screen. How do you allow this kind of come back in a FIFA World Cup round of 16 game. Egypt played more than they've ever played since the start of the tournament, they should've held firmly but somehow, they allow Argentina come back and win the game. When Egypt scored their second goal, around the 60 plus minute mark, there was a guy saying that he expected Argentina to equalize. However, everyone said it was not possible, that Argentina would not be able to equalize the two goals against Egypt because Egypt is not the kind of team that easily gives away such an advantage. But surprisingly, before I knew it, Argentina scored. From that moment, I started to believe that Argentina could equalize the match. However, I never believed they would be able to win the match, even after they scored their second goal. The fact about a good team is that, at any time, they can change the game and achieve their aim in the match. Seriously, this is a crazy comeback. Now, my favorite team to win the World Cup is Argentina because they are so determined. Many people say that this game felt like Egypt was playing against FIFA, not Argentina. The reason is that Egypt's second goal was disallowed because of bias. Also, there was a lot of hand use on the field, which the referee did not call a foul. However, Egypt played very well against Argentina. If Egypt had not slowed down towards the end of the game, new history would have been written by Egypt. But at the end of the day, Messi's Argentina won. So far, Messi has scored 8 goals in this World Cup and his name is coming first to win the title of top scorer. Also, there are many others in line, including Mbappe and Haaland, who have scored 7 goals each. Now let's see who can achieve this title.

I'm sure many of us thought This was the last World Cup game for Messi and some of his teammates when Egypt managed to score the second goal. Egypt deserve respect for what they have given throughout the game, but they made a mistake in the last 10 minutes and Argentina really punished it so hard.

A late minutes goals and comeback from the Argentine side, with Lionel Messi (the GOAT) showing off his talents once again to provide an assist for the argentina first goal scored by Romero and scoring the second goal to equalise the game before lautaro Martinez third assist for Enzo Fernandez goal to secure the win for Argentina.
It was a good and tough game for the Argentine side, they played and fought relentlessly without given up. Although Lionel Messi missed the penalty, but it didn't discourage them and they fought till the end of the game.
Congratulations to the Argentine side for qualifying to the quarter finals of the 2026 FIFA world cup and to Lionel Messi(the GOAT) for his Man of the Match (MOTM) award. Argentina to play either Switzerland or Colombia for the next round.

Again I think Messi is purposely missing penalties because of some football fans that won't stop claiming he's favoured with penalties and can't have as many as possible goals without penalties. Same set claims the Argentina road to semis is easy, is Capo verde and Egypt easy now ? Can't believe how football fans picture an event when it looks like a side they dislike is doing better So much pull out today The road to semis is closing in.

He repeatedly made unreasonable decisions against Egypt. Yes, I want to criticize the referee's decisions. The reasons were clear, most of the Argentine players pushed the Egyptian players. The referee failed to make a decision against Argentina after the Argentine players committed many fouls. Finally, I want to say that Egypt's goal tally would have been three if the referee had not made his wrong decision again. The referee was bad.

imgCall an Ambulance .....!!!!But not for Lionel Messi....😅 Here we go guys the 39 years young man made another brilliant record. He has now the most assist record at world cup history like now he has now 9 assist after surpassing Maradona in world cup history. He is just simply a F**king GOAT. Bro...This guy is absolutely crazy I never seen such player before Messi like he is 39 years old but still he is performing better than others like his downfall is better than many youngster. Because if we look at the stats and figure then definitely we found only one man above all even right now he has more goal and more assist than others players at world cup history.

No matter what anyone say, THIS WAS A GENERATIONAL MATCH which happens rarely. Egypt had a defensive mindset and utilised only counter attacks, there was a time in the game where i counted all of the 10 field players inside their own half, playing such defense can work for only a short time till the other team figures out a way to punish you and argentina (messi) did. To many including me it looked like Argentina were out of the tournament but the first goal ignited the sense of hope in me and i knew from then on that Argentina is going to comeback seeing the way they were pressing and being aggressive. They found their momentum after the first goal and just went all in to produce a REMONTADA 🔥 🔥
