Given all the barrage of criticism that Ronaldo had to endure, Messi will be more cautious. Al Hilal's offer is really good and Messi would at least fancy playing in the SPL a few times. And the players do deserve these sort of payments. Legends such as Messi and Ronaldo brings in billions of USD in revenue for their respective clubs and they get only a fraction of that in return. it was very reasonable with what was obtained and many spectators were very satisfied because these two teams really performed what the spectators expected.

I always considered the possibility of Messi going to the Arab Leagues at the end of his career as very unlikely, but he spent a lot of time in this geography lately and most importantly he won a World Cup there. Maybe he even started to have sympathy for these lands. I think a good contract can take him to the Arab League a few years later and re-stage his rivalry with Ronaldo. It would definitely be nice to see him in the top leagues for a few years.

Saudia Arab is a rich country and i suppose the people can afford to buy such expensive tickets. We have seen the stadium was jam pack which means that all the tickets were sold despite the fact that they were on an expensive side.

My main concern must not be on the result of the match but about how this friendly match is just like a place for ronaldo to meet his old friends. if messi were to play in these arab countries he would be forgotten by time, all the glory he achieved throughout his career would be reduced so much to the point that he is not even remembered much anymore, i believe that messi knows this very well, that in the world of sport there is something every player needs to have in mind:

knowing when to retire with all the glory he's achieved, and when I talk about retiring I'm talking about retiring once, Messi already has a lot of money, he's already won everything, so it makes more sense that he retires at PSG and doesn't become greedy to go play in the Arab teams because he will not be remembered anymore

I still think that this was a shame on football, and I do not like these. It was more of a Circus than a football game. I mean look at the teams and their differences, hell they combined two teams together to play against PSG, who is making that money? It's really a shame that football was ruined by money this much.

The past 1-2 years has seen the ultimate version of this, first a murdered bought an English club and was revered for it, and then Qatar killed thousands to do world cup, now we see Ronaldo and Messi being called up to play so his team would get attention. Money is really ruining football as we know it and making it something different.
