Do you guys think this league will outlive this surge of players? They are all old and most of them will retire within 5 years.

Would you watch this league once Ronaldo and Neymar weren't playing there? I'm watching the MLS only because of Messi, if he misses a game I'm instantly disinterested.
I think the league will continue to flourish even after the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, Karim Benzema, Neymar, Firmino, Henderson and other top former European based players retires from the league and that's because of the fact that the league must have gained the global recognition in the few years these stars where be delivering their best for their respective Saudi clubs.
I think more European based players will certainly join the Saudi League in the nearest future

Yeah, bringing Ronaldo opened the flood gates of soon to retire stars who are eager to join and make money. Nothing wrong with that.

But I guess it will only be a matter of time to know if their strategy worked well, or if this is China all over again.

I think it would also be strategic for them to start attracting young talent from the region, much like Portugal does with South American players.

Al Ittihad has been quite active in the transfer market, signed Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante so far this summer. Now, there's a desire from Al-Ittihad to bring in Mohamed Salah, but can they actually make it happen? Salah is considered as a Liverpool legend, and he's still got the skills for top-level European competition.

Of course, money has its power, who can deny that? If Saudi offers around €300 million, it'll be difficult for Liverpool turn it down, also it's hard to imagine player himself rejecting such wages.
We are talking about an offer of €170m or something close to that for Liverpool alone. There is nothing official but that is what rumors are saying. At the same time, even if Mohamed Salah seemed interested in this offer and the money that he will get from it, ~€950m in 5 years? Not sure. Liverpool and especially Klopp response will be no. Klopp already refuse any talking about this subject.

Messi fans are just pained to see how because of Ronaldo big stars are joining the Saudi Arabia league  from Euro and no one is going to MLS for Messi. No need of comparing the Saudi Arabia league with the China approach, in China there was no Ronaldo today the Saudi Arabia has Ronaldo and so many tv stations has gotten licence to show the league unlike china. Saudi Arabia league has come to stay, even if Ronald retired it will still continue. No need to panic

Retiring and becoming a coach is the right choice I think, his contract will end on 30 June 2025 and Ronaldo will be 40 years old. The impact and influence exerted by him has been proven, I think Ronaldo is more influential in the media than Leonel Messi.

Reportedly Ronaldo once made a statement that he would spend the rest of his time at Sporting, where he grew up in football. I think he will retire there, this is also not ruled out.
It would be a good option for any professional footballer and I also hope that Ronaldo will take this opportunity when he retires. If you look at Ronaldo's way of taking care of his fitness, it is not impossible that at the age of 40 he can still play in the Saudi Arabian league because this league does not really need speed. On the other hand the option as you mentioned is also likely to occur because Sporting Lisbon is a club that has a big role in making Ronaldo's career and this is where Ronaldo's career started to become the world football star he is now.

Speculation about Ronaldo's future after his contract expires is still quite wild and before he decided to move to Saudi Arabia not many parties predicted this for various reasons. So let's wait and see what steps Ronaldo will take after his contract ends at Al-Nassr because there are still a few more seasons for him to stay or take steps to retire.

Just yesterday I was speaking with a young footballer in my area and he was telling me of his plans for next year. He said he was saving money to continue his career outside my country because our league is not attractive. He began to mention the leagues he aspired to play and I was shocked that after he mentioned three European leagues he mentioned the Saudi Professional League. When I asked him his reason he told me about his respect for Ronaldo.

Ronaldo and other key players are giving the SPL the needed publicity but it is up to the management of the league to maximize the opportunity to build the league and attract investors. Government funding of the league will not last long especially if there is there are economic problems. The league needs to grow and become self-sustaining. I hope the pay of other average players is also high. If the clubs keep paying these star players big wages and other players receive peanuts, the league will not develop. If they are no careful the league will end up like the highly hyped Chinese league.

I think cristiano ronaldo will retire from saudi arabia league. Because I don't see any chance of coming to any European club with the performance of Cristiano Ronaldo. Also, the Saudi league will become very competitive within a few seasons.

It is clear with Klopp's statement revealed in the media that no offer means Liverpool will continue to defend Mohamed Salah he is an important part of Liverpool for the long term and playing is still very productive.
I don't know about the €170 bid because there is no nominal in the rumor but for me it is too high just now it is impossible for Mohamed Salah to move.
The transfer window is just one week away maybe Al Ittihad should look for other options if they want to continue to bring in European players.

That's crazy, and crazy quick. But I guess it makes sense that any young player will want to join a league that has all these stars, particularly if they have a better shot of getting more play time.

I agree that they need to become self-sustaining, but they may have a wider definition of what that means being a government venture and all. This will surely impact in tourism and other industries. Surely they are well aware of that.

Do you guys think this league will outlive this surge of players? They are all old and most of them will retire within 5 years.

Would you watch this league once Ronaldo and Neymar weren't playing there? I'm watching the MLS only because of Messi, if he misses a game I'm instantly disinterested.

MLS isnt intresting without Messi,he is the only one that is holding intresting regarding this league. In saudi arabia its different because now there are really many elite players in the league. Ronaldo opened the way and now this league looks like it will be an elite one in a couple of years. But still they have a lot to go to reach a top level

True, SPL was playing without script.  Cheesy The competition is far real compared with MLS. It's far greater compared with MLS. Even some young talented players like gabri veiga were choosing to join in the saudi pro league club. SPL may be considered as one of the best league in the world.
The club just need to be consistent in bringing the talent from european league. Slowly but surely, SPL will able to reach at the top level. The saudi authorities waere working to make SPL looks very attractive for so many people.
We may able to see SPL to be considered as one of top league in the world probably in upcoming years. Any team in SPL competing so hard ot beat each other.

Well here things can be seen in other ways, some support the MLS only because of Messi, and well I respect that motion, everyone acts because they like this type of thing for a player, I respect it, but we all know that MLS is not the major league, it is well below the ranking, in the last report it was ranked eighth in the entire world ranking, however compared to the Saudi League, things are improving a lot, the Suadies are beginning to stand out a lot in the league It is beginning to be much more famous, it does not matter that veteran players have come, because of the amount of money they are offering they are able to attract many players from any league and they will want to leave, when they see that in Europe they do not give them the important when they reach a certain age, especially in those who belong to the League, because they will not hesitate to leave, he knows that in that league they can play comfortably even up to 40 without anyone showing them that they are old or something and their performance will be very good to represent their team.

In addition, there have been many players who have joined the Saudi league, the last ones who have joined Neymar Jr, and really, no matter how many say that it has gone out of fashion, or that it is very theatrical or dramatic, he is a high-level player. He left PSG because they really didn't want him there anymore, only Mbappé is left and I think that this player is something toxic within the team, and only the PSG team is no longer the same, when they had Messi, Neymar and Mbappé Well, they did not achieve a single UCL so that is something sad, because here it was not the players who failed, for me the technical team was the one who failed, the technical director was the one who failed so things are as they are, because we are not going to To say that they missed the killer trident that there was, where PSG stopped they were afraid of it in all the teams, because 'by any flank it was almost a goal and one of those stars that grabbed the ball could score the goal that star alone, then the mistake was the technical right, now in Saudi fúbol things are different, everyone has opportunity and apart from that they don't lose their level.

I think cristiano ronaldo will retire from saudi arabia league. Because I don't see any chance of coming to any European club with the performance of Cristiano Ronaldo. Also, the Saudi league will become very competitive within a few seasons.

Yes basically, the Saudi League and the Portuguese League at least the Portuguese League has higher pressure and yes, if we consider Ronaldo age then it seems very unlikely that Ronaldo will play at Sporting. Unless, if Ronaldo leaves Al Nassr in the next season and Ronaldo age is still 39 years old but still, at that age it is difficult for Sporting to let Ronaldo play. Because after all, playing in Al Nassr even though the competition is still fairly easy, but in fact Ronaldo still cannot make Al Nassr consistent to win. So yes, it is very unlikely that Ronaldo will return to Sporting because it seems, Ronaldo will really retire right at the age of 40 when his contract expires at Al Nassr.

The Al-Nassr throwing money around? Great move. Despite their wealth, they look out of place in a league that changes so frequently. Like Al Hilal, other teams are spending a lot on Neymar and other big stars. Actually! When these stars are absent, Al-Nassr can't win at home. I almost find it humorous

Say something about their defense? They still conceded goals every game after signing Laport. AFC playoff game? They showed some potential, but I won't get my hopes up. Not winning the crown this year shouldn't surprise me or anyone else. No big deal for them
Al Nassr throw money but not wisely which is surely going to have problem for them specially with their defense which is not giving as required in last few games in League their result is clearly indicating they need something better which fix their weakness in defense, and they are able to have better result they have few big names, but they are not going to have all the way with specially with defense which is headache conceding goals in every game is creating problem in today's game result is important for them even they are favorite, but they have to understand Al Fateh also having good depth in game with four points in last two games are good start for them.

With the move of Ronaldo towards the Saudi Arabia Pro League more number of star players have begun to sign deals with different teams of Saudi Arabia Pro League. This had made it a big league than the past. The Saudi Arabia Pro League have got a big history, to that we weren't able to see the league to be popular. From the previous season the popularity have increased and this season have brought many changes to the league.
Ronaldo's joining in the Saudi Pro League a new wave of hope has begun and now the focus isn't limited to Ronaldo they are constantly trying to get more star players. On the other hand, if Messi would not join Inter Miami, he would surely have played in the Saudi Pro League. No league reached the expected level without famous players we can say star players are the driving force for flourishment of any League. After Messi joined Miami, spectators there have been enjoying the games with great enthusiasm. Similarly, when Ronaldo initiated his journey in the Saudi Pro League, from then this football league gained extensive popularity in a very short time. At the moment the condition of Saudi Pro League is ‍appreciable.

I simply think that he has given the world a lot. Even at 37 years old, he absolutely carried Manchester United on his back. I don’t think there are many players who can actually say that especially in the modern era of football. I am pretty sure that if it was not for the hate of Manchester United coach towards him, and if it was also not for the rape allegations that he had to face around the World Cup, he would have finished his career better.

But I am definitely happy for what he has done in football. I was never a big fan of Ronaldo. I was always a fan of Messi. But watching what has been happening with Cristiano Ronaldo recently, I sure do think that he deserved better towards the end of his career.  And probably I have become a Ronaldo fan slowly. It definitely makes me sad to watch him retire.

Recently, the name Moh Salah has been sticking out in the sports news media. It is reported that he has been approached by Al Ittihad, who needs a mega star. I don't follow the development of rumors regarding the latest news, especially those related to Moh Salah's news. after I tried to find various references, the Egyptian striker was heavily rumored to be leaving for Al Ittihad. as quoted from The Atheltic, Mohamed Salah will remain at Liverpool until his contract expires. in fact, management and managers are in one voice that Moh Salah is not for sale.

Referring to Romano's report, what he reported was almost the same. Klopp said about Salah and Al Ittihad, they have no offers, Mo Salah is a Liverpool player and everything we do is very important. "if there is something, the answer is no". it is clear, that it looks like Liverpool and Klopp are trying to brush off these rumours. if these rumors are true, given that Salah's role at Liverpool is extraordinary plus the transfer window is nearing its end, it is unlikely that Liverpool will let him go. maybe it would be a different story, if Al Ittihad made an offer since the beginning of this summer's transfer window just opened. thus, if Klopp is to let him go, he will first look for the ideal replacement. but what is certain, Al Ittihad must look for other options if they still need new arrivals from top European players.

Saudi teams are signing really good players from Europe one by one. This time the most speculated name is Mohamed Salah. Al-Ittihad have already made an offer but it was rejected by Liverpool in a short time. It won't be easy to convince Liverpool for this transfer even if they do that for the player. But I doubt Salah would like to leave this season. I think he is just concentrated on his game with Liverpool this season. At least for one more season he might want to fight for Liverpool's success.

After that there might be an agreement to be made between Liverpool and Salah to let him sign for a Saudi team.
Yes, a lot of these rumors. But I hope he won't go to Saudi Arabia just for money. He is still very good playing in Europe. Al Ittihad appear ready to pay Salah from Liverpool £100m. They also offered Salah a salary of £200m per season. Fantastic value.
Actually, I am quite worried about the courage of the Saudi Arabian clubs. They have the courage to give a very fantastic salary, this is like it will have an effect on Europe. Like the salary of players who are likely to be higher, because the owners of European clubs will not be willing for them to leave.
Al Ittihad and media creating good mess-up for this transfer, but we have nothing from the Liverpool with this all most chances Mohammad Salah will be stayed at Liverpool until end of this season with next season is not sure because offer is very big and then Liverpool also try to have some better replacement which will give them better result as well because Salah Contract is going to end in 2025, and they will try to have good cash with this transfer.

Situation is not good at Al Ittihad specially after rift between Karim Benzema and coach Santo so most chances they will try to stay until of first season with next season could be ok for this all but as we have few transfers in last few days without big announcement quickly we can expect any new announcement as well in coming days.

Al-Nassr have got good line-up, but they're not at their best over the past two matches. Sadio Mané have made the first goal for Al-Nassr and this could be the first win for Al-Nassr. The expectation on Al-Nassr is high and I'm sure Al-Fateh is a strong fightback one. The team that is predicted to be the top contender along with the Al-Ittihad is now trailing on the points table. Ronaldo is at his best, and the defeat on the first two matches is a complete disappointment.

In a few moments we will watch the match between Al-Fateh against Al-Nassr and in this match Ronaldo and his friends must steal 3 points if they want to get their first victory in the saudi league competition. In the last 5 meetings between the two, Al-Nassr really dominated with 4 wins and 1 draw. It's clear that even if it's an away game for Al-Nassr they can definitely win it. Apart from that, if we look at the confirmed formations from Al-Nassr there are the names Otavio and Laporte who are Al-Nassr's new recruits and this will mark their debut. I don't think Al-Nassr needs to win big in this match, they just need to win 0-2 to be very safe to get full points.

Al Nassr scored one goal against Al Fateh so far as we were expect to see for them to show better performance because of the much better and expensive players they brought in this summer. For Al Nassr, Sadio Mane scored the goal and if I'm not wrong it's his first goal he scored for this Saudi team after he joined this team. The performance of Al Nassr was good enough in this game to show they can be a strong competitor for other teams in the Saudi Leage.

Ronaldo have come up with his contribution. In the 38th minute Ronaldo have scored a goal on the open net. First half of the match have come to an end. Al-Nassr leads 2-0 and based on the statistics Al-Nassr is at its best in ball possession. Based on the shots on the target and the corners played Al-Nassr could've scored atleast 4 or 5 goals.

Looks like an easy win for Al Nassr. Really an expected win for them. I think they will score a lot more in the second half. Ronaldo already with an assist and a goal and i think he wont stop there. Al nassr after two losses looks like they will get their first points finally.
