You are right, Al Hilal did well in the Club World Cup, beating Manchester city in a very dramatic fashion, and again securing a draw against Real Madrid too Is a sigh that the new coach is going to do well in Al Hilal. After that Awful last season, for sure they will bring in new players, that will suite to the new style of play by the coach. I think Al Hilal represented Saudi Arabia in the best possible way at the Club World Cup. Winning against Manchester City and then eliminating them isn't a feat any team can achieve. AL Hilal is already a great team from the Saudi Pro League and if you dig deep in their records, you will know that they are not team to toil around with so their participation and excellent performance at the club world cup is not in doubt. The Saudi Professional league is already developing due to some European players that went to spice things up over there but before they can build up great strength like the European Leagues, it will cost and take them a lot. At this time I cannot agree to saying the Saudi Arabia pro league is a top league already,  they had a very good representation from Al-Hilal and that is an obvious fact as seen in the tournament but they had a few of other representations that crashed out so soon, so it is even better to see that as an individual team effort that felt like a representation of the league,  they still have a lot to do to fix the league and buying of quality players is one of it and until then, I still regard them as an average league but with progressive improvement actually.

Indeed. Saudi Pro League isn't in the level of top leagues in the world. However, it becomes more popular now. We must admit that almost everyone in the world probably knows Saudi Pro League due to Ronaldo's factor. Regarding the achievement of Al Hilal defeated Man City and reached the quarter-final, it is not enough to prove the quality of Saudi Pro League. However, we can't deny that some big teams in SPL are strong enough because they can show quite good performance in international competitions (FIFA club world cup, AFC champions league). I dont know if Nico Gonzales this season wants to go into Saudi Arabia, i mean he is still one substitute in the national team and going to Saudi Arabia can make for him lose a little bit of level and maybe the coach start to no call him for the national team, maybe he needs to talk with the coach and see if him guarantee a spot on the national team despite going to arabia.
