@everyone- don't be afraid to speak up about things. If you discover something like Yoda did here, say so immediately.  The faster you act, the better the chance of less people being hurt.  If you're uncomfortable doing so, tell someone like myself who will.  I have seen too much of a lack of action when it comes to scamming incidents over the years. The lack of action is extremely harmful.

Peeling the cards- as others have said just use a pocket knife or razor and slightly peel one edge just far enough that you can then use your fingers to peel it off.  I was unable to redeem multiple cold key cards using Ballet, but Coinomi eventually worked for me.  I did have to do some cleaning of the cards, a little sticker residue prevented the cameras from being able to scan the QR's.  

I would encourage everyone to sweep any funded cards you have right now, don't wait.

As for everything else, I am holding my tongue this evening.  I knew Yogg well, and communicated with him via phone chats a good bit.  I am at a loss for words and feel sick to my stomach.

Agreed, not you keys not your coins, we have been telling each other that for years.
This is an example of why I don’t purchase any loaded coins, or at least anything with a large value, I don’t even like buyer funded items where the pub/priv keys are already provided, stick with DIY or unloaded

Unfortunately this is not the first time this has happened and may not be the last, scammers will scam!

It seems to me that one of the ONLY ways to potentially remedy this matter is for Yogg to reimburse everyone who lost funds, yet that still would not revive the value of the cards.. but it could attempt making amends towards the value that was supposed to be on the cards.. to the extent that claims could be verified, too....

I know that my suggestion does not likely seem very practical in terms of verifying any claims that members may well have in regards to lost funds on their cards.. and surely Yogg may or may not still have the funds.. who knows?  

If he just started swiping funds in the past day or two, then he might still have the funds.. but surely likely, the reason that he swiped the funds in the first place was that he perceived that he needed the funds.. or that he is in a place of desperation.. .. Crying and/or feeling sorry for the matter does not seem to do much of anything.. if there were to be any kind of potential resolution..

I know that in the past that there had been members who taken value (bitcoins or whatever from members) and then had claimed that they were engaging in processes to attempt to reimburse members for their losses, but many times those past incidents ended up playing out as token efforts of reimbursement rather than actual material and meaningful restitution of what damages could be recovered - even though there are some cases in which members ended up getting reimbursed.. so yeah, surely does not seem to be a great possibility of reimbursing yet at this time.. but it would not be totally implausible that the funds had not actually been spent, yet... since the claims of funds on the cards having had been moved only seems to have started to happen within the past day or two.

And, of course, I recommend the same as ChiBitCTy.. remove/swipe your funds as soon as possible, even if some stupid-ass scammer (Yogg in this case) claims to have limited the keys in which he supposedly has (had) access.... There is no way to prove such a case in which the keys had been generated by him, and he had already shown himself to have been a liar in terms of actually NOT destroying some (if not all) of the keys that were in his possession.

The claim that he only found silver halving keys is 100% a LIE. He swept my gold halving cards at the same time. It was done 21 hours ago.

I apologize, I was only relaying what he told me. Please post all TXID's of any Brass or Gold card scamming here, I'll be gathering them up and sending them to the Police in Rouen - You may be surprised, but they know BTC. Many people in FR use BTC as bank accounts like Yogg did.

TRACKING is too passive, it's an action based on what happened in the past, i.e track
that/when the funds were swiped = too late to do anything.

Criminal proceedings will commence hopefully and in those if his gambling addiction
is actual he would be afforded help. Help is what he needs "IF" he has a gambling problem.

It's up in the air ATM, is he still at his address? has he fled the country? he surely knows he
is not anonymous.

I know people are hurting and it's hard to swallow all this but as Kryptowerk says he needs
help if what he told Owlcatz is true.
