My Cold Keys Just Got Swiped! All Cold Kuntz!!

I luckily got all my funding back but also lost the .78227786 that was paid in premiums for the cards themselves. This becomes a loss, add in the .05 loan, the 25 cards not delivered on... and the funds I swept pale in comparison.

What a huge blow to the bitcoin community. I just always had a feeling that Yogg had too many excuses for everything and had a weird feeling about collecting his stuff, albeit I loved the art. I waited for almost a year for the first 3 cards in the history series, I'm really glad I moved all of those. All I have left is a genesis cold key, and actually a very unique 1/1 genesis cold key card with a special cartoon of a girl holding a bitcoin and a vanity address that Yogg made to include my daughters name on it, which he gave to me. All I can say is that I think that deep down he is a good person, but it could very well have been his plot all along, or perhaps there is a very wild story behind all of this and he was in trouble or something. Whatever it may be I suspect that we will never find out what happens & it will always be a mystery. Will be interesting to see how many of these cards are redeemed and funds stolen when all is said and done. I wonder how much BTC is in cold keys if you add them all up.....

The security issue at hand is the unpredictibility of the human psyche.
So any written assurance doesn't do much. Just saying.

Trust must be earned, but even then you can never be sure to not get fucked over. Sad reality that couldn't have been made more obvious than by this case.

I’m now in my tenth year in this space, and I’m unsure of where to go from here… but it’s a near certainty that I won’t be releasing any more artworks in the future where I’ve generated the keys. It feels like those days are nearing an end.

If anyone wants to fundraise or similar to help make victims whole, I am willing to donate/auction some art to help make this a reality.

can someone explain me step by step how to get the funds transferred from the coldkey cards with the ballet wallet app?
the app does not accept the qr code/priv key...

Never used a ballet, but I used mycelium on my phone before & it worked perfect.

Coinomi worked for me (Ballet would not unfortunately). I did have to clean the cards a little as there was some residue on the QR codes (water/rag).  It also can take a bit of time to get the scan but stick with it.

I'm not sure the halving sets are in there, and I don't have Mongo currently setup or the time to deal with it this weekend, but I will publish it (minus any customer info) once I get time. - He gave it to me to try and estimate how many cards were funded and how much BTC was on them. At the time it was a bit under 25 BTC. Once I publish the DB dump you total python geeks might have a blast with it, I'd also like to know how many were peeled after the "incident" etc...

Please make sure you really scrub any and all personally identifiable information from that DB dump. 😅

There are people stating the he other sets were swept as well - can those people verify this claim?

For what it's worth he swore to me that no brass sets were swept by him. 🤷‍♂️ Again take it with a grain of salt I guess but I would like to know if anyone's brass sets get swept . Personally I havent peeled anything yet, but I am constantly watching all my addresses on a spreadsheet that updates in real time of balances of all the cards I have too just in case.

Edit of all my cards only my silvers were swept no histories no bonds etc

FWIW, I didn't even really look at any of that shit except my own lol...  I'm a longtime DB/data semi-programmer/guy myself and I don't look at info that doesn't matter to me by default, no time for that!

Plus it's just deleting a table or two I think.. not a big deal, it's not a very complicated db.
