Could you imagine if like Yogg was on his deathbed or something and needed an operation to pay for it all and the only way to save his own life was to steal all this money from everyone and to never look back? Idk, I know he had health issues. The only thing I can think is that nobody could be this heartless to everyone if they didn't desperately need it. If they didn't and they just stole then they're just an asshole but part of me thinks that there is so much more to this story. I just wish Yogg has the balls the send the last message. Indeed.  There is enough evidence now I feel to say that this was his plan from the beginning.  Between the closing of his company, tracing the stolen funds to an exchange, him not coming to face the music, keeping all the private keys from the beginning...  

This is an example of it being harder to convince someone they've been scammed, then to scam someone.  Yogg was a scammer and he scammed.  He received plenty of help from his "friends" who are now busy thinking of ways to capitalize on the incident to sell more products to the scammed customers.  All I can say is to be careful and don't be the guy who thinks there's more to this story.  You'll be disappointed.  Yogg was a scammer and he scammed.  If you fell for it or considered him a part of your friend group, you were bamboozled and should take a long hard look at that friend group, because if there was any more to this story, it would be that Yogg didn't do this by himself.

"There is enough evidence now I feel to say that this was his plan from the beginning".  I disagree and would argue just the opposite.  If he wanted to do this from the beginning he would have done things a lot differently.  He also would have had a much better system set up for sweeping funds.  He was doing this slowly over the course of hours, and as far as we know just for the halving sets.  He's a Mr Robot type, he would have had a much better system lined up to be able to easily sweep keys quickly, and not just one set of cards, but all of his cards.  As far as we know so far, only the halving sets have been swept.  Sure he didn't fund a lot of other cards, but that's different.  

Either way, he's a scammer and it all sickens me.  The betrayal I feel right now is one I don't think I've ever felt.

I wonder if Bruno did something similar - gave his phone away to a nurse or technician who was rendering care at the end of his life.  Bruno wasn't above selling his accounts and would have needed money at the end suffering in the American health *cough* care system.

I think everyone is missed with yogg alt account yogg_alt since no one have left negative feedback yet except me.

His last active was January 15, 2023, 05:09:10 AM, it means he's really aware and keep watching this mess for sure, I don't see any chance he will resolve this case since he's not making any reply.

Well, on this same page there's also the account Coldkey, also (according to the trust feedback) acknowledged as alt of yogg.
It's an account inactive since 2021, but who knows, maybe yogg finds the credentials on another forgotten USB stick...

I'll add a list of these three over on the Known Alts page.  A few people are placing negative trust feedback on the two alts, however, they don't seem to be replicating that via the default trust side of things.

Yep. this ^^^,,, I considered him a good friend, we spent many hours talking. The burn sucks but I am good at moving on - Just wanna say thanks to all the folks who have messaged me with supportive emails. I do appreciate it, but I'll be fine. Got new challenges to deal with, looking forward to the new year!

Again, I really think he had no master plan on this in fact I think most of the history keys unswept by users so far are still intact. Like someone mentioned, Yogg was a high IQ person, he would have had a plan in place from day 1 to sweep it all... Also, he lost a lot of money last year and knowing this, I think he probably would have swept whatever he could, he told me swept a bunch of his own cards back then etc.

Like I said, he knew he was weak which was why he said he "said" he never kept the keys and had a 1k shredder for the film rolls ... So fucked... Talk about burning your life down ... Because we all walk around with blinders on see the parts of the forum we want to see and reading and responding to posts that are interesting to us.
I even posted in the hardware wallets board to see if a people more interested in that side of BTC so to speak would have any ideas and I got 1 entire reply to the post.

I see this / have seen it in other parts of the board. Years ago, mining hardware maker scams were barely mentioned, if mentioned at all outside the the mining hardware boards.

Unless you have the time and effort to follow every big thing, even big things now and then are going to be missed.

And, lets face it, compared to the exchange implosions and everything else over the last few months this is a rounding error in terms of money.

I myself was part of the problem. He didn’t fund 3 of my history sets, sent me some bs message about how he would get to them in time and how he had used my btc for his own use. I waited a week and raised hell - sets got funded and I let it go. But during this time I had many people vouch that coldkey would never scam me or anyone else.

What I should have done was posted publicly- but was afraid of not getting my 1k of pre paid funding returned, plus getting everyone pissed off.  Hindsight is of course 20/20

I just wish the people that had dealt with these issues for years, wouldn’t have turned a blind eye to all of the warning signs. It’s not like he just started drugs/gambling this year. Was there even a health issue? Was that all a made up excuse? I believe so. Unless the health issue was a drug overdose.

When people owe you money- don’t keep quiet.

When people owe you collectibles and they start selling other collectibles - raise hell publicly.

When pre funded items are not funded quickly - let the whole forum know. This collectible community is built on trust- and all of these issues are clear cut signs of untrustworthy people.

As I said - Hindsight is 20/20 - but the warning signs were there - those that ignored them got burned the most

I am guilty of not speaking up myself.....he has lied many time but I always hoped he would come thru at the end and waited very pateintly more with him than anyone else. Strange that sentinel crashes, didn't have any issues so far. That being said, the options in the app are very limited, wish it was more advanced.


Use Mycelium wallet.
It also allows view only key import and works as well as Sentinel on Android for me.

Blue Wallet for Android can track wallet addresses.  It's a little clunky and over simplified, but if you're wanting to check in daily and see what a balance is it'll do the trick.
