We have updated our escrow information in the opening post to make it clear to newcomers in this thread that optional escrow is provided for the IPO.

You are calling this a scam based on what? I barely ever take a send look at IPO's but this coin has convinced me to invest in it. All the info you need to convince you is in the whitepaper and in their website. If you look at how professionally this coin as been developed so far you'd realize that it's not a scam.

Really excited about this!

Numus, is it possible to consider changing the algorithm? Edgecoin recently decided to change their algorithm to X11 - that seems to be the one that everyone wants now (more than Scrypt-Jane).

X11 is hyped up for nothing, nothing more than a piece of inefficient bloatware.

X11 is bullshit at the moment. The GPU miners that are public are inefficient. That is obvious by the fact they run cool. There are rumors that the elite few have optimized GPU miners. Not fair, so X11 is no good at the moment. Scrypt-Jane all the way.

MisO69 you've summed it up perfectly. There isn't even a NVIDIA Miner for X11.

Isn't there? I thought X11 had miners for AMD, NIVIDIA and CPU's. I also thought it was more efficient but from what I've heard of in the last few days it seems like its the exact opposite.

Nope there isn't. I saw a bounty posted for it in the Altcoin Forum for one but I don't think a X11 miner for Nvidia GPU's will come out anytime soon.

I've said this countless times about this coin, but it seems too many just label it as a scam without looking at anything what these guys posted just because it has an IPO. It's quite sad really.

I searched for a while and eventually found the bounty thread. So basically all new crypto's launching with X11 are AMD only currently? That seems a bit closed off.

The ultimate solution would be to do something like Huntercoin and allow for multiple algorithms! Then we'd have IPO, POS, POW with X11 AND Scrypt-Jane, plus of course a built-in decentralized marketplace... who in the heck WOULDN'T be using Numus then?!

It would be different, I'm not sure what the Numus devs think about this, but it seems far too ambitious and cumbersome and also some might think of it as bloatware.

X11 currently does not currently have a wide variety of mining software supporting the algorithm to make it accessible to most. The mining software that are currently available seem to be inefficient and do not support NVIDIA GPU's. Although some may argue that most miners make use of AMD cards rather than NVIDIA, this goes against Numus' philosophy of accessibility. We want everyone regardless of hardware constraints to mine/make use of Numus right from the start.

do i understand correctly?:
premine is exactly 2.5% and that goes 100% to ipo?
the other 97.5% are available for mining?
Is this the distributionmodel or did i miss something?

edit: also you shouldn't be too concerned about the lotto and legality because if any government comes up and wants to ban it for that reason (i doubt they will) you can just integrate something that blocks the lotto for ip's from those states that don't like the lotto and everybody should be happy again.
