As a conclusion for your question why people are interested in altcoins, I would say the main reason why is money and profit, then other things comes out for transactions or gaming, shopping and many other features a token or coin can have and make a user interested in buying it.
In your case you want to invest just a little and gain much more than investing in bitcoin as a les volatile cryptocurrency, I believe it’s the same thing for every. You're right. People choose altcoins because they know altcoins have bigger volatility than Bitcoin. Altcoins also can increase the prices significantly in a short time due to many factors, it doesn't only depends on the halving or bullrun season hype. So, people assume they will have more chances to gain bigger profits with altcoins. But some people forget that the prices of altcoins can drop significantly in a short time, too. If there is bad news related to the projects of the altcoins, the prices can free fall quickly. Also, don't forget that altcoins can be delisted from the exchanges due to varied factors. In this matter, we don't only thinking about the potential profits but we must be aware of the potential risks as well.

Sure, Bitcoin can't increase significantly in a short time. It needs a process, it just increases significantly after the Bitcoin halving. Bitcoin has a different nature, it is not like altcoins that can be pumped and dumped quickly. Yes, that's a good example, if you manage to pick the right project and entrust your investment you'll be able to make some decent amount of profits, I think it's really a matter of choices when placing your investment, there are many venue and it's going to depend from how you do your research and how you study the potentials.

That's right and some people wanted to buy it at a lower price from those people who get their altcoins from bounty rewards and there are lots of people who make lots of money from that as well especially those who sold their altcoins after it reached its ATH in the crypto market. I once had some altcoins that I got from Bounty and I was approached by someone to buy them from me I was just new so I accepted his offer but of course with the middleman, and after a few months, I saw the price has increased for about 10x he bought it from me. Surely there are lots of opportunities to make money from altcoins but you just need proper knowledge on where or what you will buy in order to be successful investors like them.

Indeed, your first point is very true. Investing in BTC should be our first priority like if we have a good amount in our portfolio for investment in cryptocurrency we should invest 90% of our portfolio in Bitcoin and the remaining amount we should invest in Altcoins. The key of investing in altcoins is that we should diversify of remaining 10% portfolio into different altcoins so that we can overcome our risk.

In the crypto Industry, risk management is the key to securing our funds. The high level of fluctuation, and the price which tends to be affordable, makes people tend to buy altcoins to take advantage of this moment. If you are really that loving to stick with less risky investment then Bitcoin would be your best shot in compared into those meme or shitcoins out there. The only thing that gives out with those shit or meme coins is that

maybe I'm the same as you who want to get more profit from altcoins but it's true that altcoins can multiply our money up to 10x or more but basically buying bitcoins is to maintain our wealth and buying altcoins to build our wealth but both have their own risks. the reason I bought altcoins I'm still in my wealth building phase this is not financial advice I'm just sharing what I do stick to your own research

I think the simple reason for all the investments in altcoins has the same goal and nuance to find big profits with minimal funding. Bitcoin is no exception, but between a small and risky investment fund compared to a large investment fund with little risk. It is a choice or launch portfolio in the right way.

Yup, I feel the same. I'm drawn to the potential rewards of high-risk investments. Besides, I frequently collect altcoins through airdrops or bounties, so it doesn't hurt as much when their value drops since I didn't invest my own money.
