I have one other idea how to cater for serious gamblers willing to put more money on the line. Did not have enough time to discuss it with cryptofrka yet so I will keep it a secret for now. Lots of details to think trough anyway and once I mention it the cat is out of the bag and difficult to put back in 

I hope you are not thinking of a VIP league. Because it will ruin the existing leagues, we do not want another super league right now. You don't need a magician to tell you that we are all deadly gamblers. Paying $80-$100 only once to win a $2000-$2500 star reward in less than six months? I will take it every day of my life without hesitation. We need to increase the prize pool to $10,000. Let everyone eat well .

I agree that the budget is solid. Just enough for everyone to earn at least what they have invested. At least for the division  1 where there is an entrance fee. For me this is more than just pure gambling. I really enjoy discussing here on the forum. Trofo, cryptofrka and casperBGD know me from our Croatian board and know that I was always saying that I have nothing to talk about in the Gambling section.  Well this competition proved me wrong and I hope it continues for a long, long time.

The sponsorship budget is okay IMO - we simply have to sit out ass up; if we want a larger pool size, it's up to us. If we have the same awards for each position every season with no progress, the competitiveness will decrease, and some teams will become bored and drop out out. We're all gamblers, and we know that the bigger the risk, higher the return. Division 2 should not be free; it drains the reward pool.

I am more than happy with budget and rewards for most players, but adding entry fee for all Division 2 players could result in less players wanting to participate.
Whatever division I play next season I am willing to pay whatever fee but I am trying to see the bigger picture with pros and cons for everything.
Players who dont pay anything are much easier to drop out, quit and miss few rounds, so maybe cro2 team could think about taking symbolic entry fee from everyone in all divisions.

With the football season at its most sensitive stage by the time current season finishes we might be looking at a two weeks breaks max imo, and perhaps one more for potential new participant recruitments, that's if we'll be returning for the 4th season though.

I would also suggest a thread for participation for the 4th season to up already, but I understand the need to iron out the specifics concerning sponsorships and whatnot before doing that.

I was talking about that in the chat yesterday but I guess it was before you dropped in. 4th season is happening, it will start soon after this one finishes. Maybe one week break just to reset and pay out the rewards.

Thread for BSFL sign ups is always open. If you know someone interested tell them to sign up asap. It will help us organise 3rd division better.

Yep, we're not much for long breaks. A week or 2 max between seasons, we need a bit of time to set everything up properly.

Nah, I'm not against it. Just saying it needs to be balanced properly.
BSFL is a bit different - here we don't have huge payouts and no payouts - we have something for everyone.

We have to keep it the same way - it is H2H and every game has to mean something. Otherwise you'd have more people forgetting or simply not caring to submit if their season goes wrong.

I have some thoughts on giving gamblers a chance to earn some extra money as well, so am curious to see what Trofo has come up with.

Anyway - our goal is to expand BSFL and add something new every season (or 2), we want to keep you active here because that's how we give something back to our sponsor

If the player is not good enough for your team and you want to loan it away, that means you have 2 better players in his position. Then why limit his appearance? Always felt petty to me. Really hope Leverkusen lifts the trophy. They are playing some great football but Bayern is Bayern and nobody is foolish enough to write them off, even with 5 points goal difference.

I am talking about big clubs that aren't in financial troubles here. Not some money shenanigans loans.

Me too, it's just a common practice nowadays. I think Bayern is too big to actually consider anybody else to be competition, especially a team with a new coach that finished 20+ points behind them last season - so they didn't trigger it.

I hope they take the title as well - will probably be Alonso's last chance with Leverkusen.

Congrats with a win, deserved. It looks that curse of Harry Kane moved from Spurs to Bayern and he simply can't win titles. Xabi Alonso is doing amazing job with Bayer and nobody won't be surprised if he will be next manager of Liverpool. Though, despite everything I still believe that they still can choke somehow in final rounds of league and give title away to Bayern. They're called Neverkusen not without a reason.
