It is close for Gauff/Fritz and I said yes, they will win a gold medal, but after thinking about it I believe it is never the smartest choice to go with yes when there are so many games still to go. Mixed double is quite unpredictable if I am not mistaken. Seems like they gonna lose it as they are 3-5 down in the tie break.

Curious whether Ledecky will win that last race in swimming. These Olympia questions are a different beast as I never really knew how teams would perform in sports like basketball or football. I think in the singles sport like swimming, the favorite is the real favorite. But in many other sports results can rather be against expectations.

Medvedev had a horrible run in the Olympics...    I thought he would progress much more and get the bronze medal at least. It looks like the half amount of people on the spreadsheet added him among their choices.

It is really not easy to predict Olympics results in general though. I just can't wait to see the new season in football leagues starting finally.    There are still around 2 weeks for that I guess.

Well I think when they turned it into 8-6, there is hardly any way that top players should still give it away. The other double must have been devastated already to have given away a 4-1 lead, but still I guess double tennis is hard to predict. Points aren't made the same way as in 1 vs 1.

As for Ledecky, sure she has 2 more events? I thought there is 1 more, the 800m. What is the other event? Then I got my research wrong to be honest. Too bad.

Katie Ledecky will participate in two more events. One is 800 m freestyle which will take place on August 2 and 3 and the other one is 4 × 200 m freestyle relay which will take place tomorrow.

His in my Silver spot for crying out loud. He had a good stats on him going into the games and the head to head was cool, the odds was one that offered some assurance but then, that he wouldn’t be making the Bronze, that’s something for someone that placed him ahead of Alcaraz.

Yeah, it’s completely randomized and you don’t get a lot of stats to look at, the head to heads lead no where and you need a lot of knowing of the individual players or participants to have something on them.

The 400m Freestyle event took place on Saturday( my location time) and the results were already out before BSFL season 5 maybe I didn't re-word my sentence properly but I was actually talking about the final events scheduled.

Well, depends on the case. In this one, you ain't getting a freebie
Formats are there to primarily protect ourselves, so you know what we mean when we ask the question. We will always follow logic.

A good example is if we ask for the finalists and the winner and somebody writes just Alcaraz - we will count Alcaraz as his finalist pick as well although he did not write it because in order to win, he has to reach the final.

We don't want to be too strict - whenever it is perfectly clear what was meant, we will accept it.

Good evening everybody! I was not able to make proper hello when rejoining,,, submitted Round 1 just so totally on the feeling of things,,, but I took the time to read everything and I must tell you guys, this is the best thing on the forum in gambling.  I see some names I thought I saw before not existing anymore, so it looks like I am not the only one who unofficially retired from active foruming. Life is challenging But over 50 people and next season is so huge  I try to follow more and more, looks like I am gonna be in real life early retirement, and forum will be for me the thing to keep my brain active.

Quick update on our matchup

The current score is 2-1, Im leading with 1 point and there are 4 questions with different answers left so I need to secure atleast two of them to win my 1st round. Well atleast I have the advantage on question #9 because Medvedev has been knocked out so thats another question that I wont have to worry about
