As you already know we have integrated Last Men Standing into BSFL this season. Hakan2217 and Hhampuz started the competition best and they are currently leading the pack.

Cro2 sorry to ask as I didn't participate in the first edition of LMS because of the Euro's competitions etc, but one question based on the writings above ..do the results got in one round carry over to the other when it comes to LMS??  
Thought each round resets count and anybody can get eliminated if one scores the lowest ??

Heh, I took a point from Trofo, I'll be hunting for all three now. But you've drawn first blood with a very astute pick -- a draw was the fairest result for Kiev/Rangers. Of course, I'd have preferred if the team I picked didn't go and score a late goal. Looking at the remainder of our picks, I'm actually liking yours more with some revisiting of Lyle records and such, but we'll hope for a Sunday grandstand won't we? Bad luck to you, my friend.

Points in differenet rounds are accumulated and the winner will be the one who has the highest points among those survived after round 15.
As you see in the spreadsheet, Hhampuz is now ranked first with 8 points (7 points from round 1 and 1 point from round 2).

You are right, anyone can get eliminated at each round.

Previous rounds results do not carry on to the next round, but it adds to the total point tally which determines the winner at the end. Whatever your position in the total point table, if a player scores 2 points or less in a round they get eliminated, if everyone scores 3 and above those with the lowest points will get eliminated.

If you buy back in, you total point tally is retained.

Correct from un_rank but just confirming it so you know it is "official". Total points are added each round and the winner be the one with the most points when Round 15 is over. Each round you can get eliminated and if you are you can buy back before the next deadline. Buybacks are very cheap at the moment, 0.25mBTC which came at about 14$ when vd309 used that option. He is the only eliminated player who has bought back and I am a bit surprised more didn't do so.

Buybacks will get more expensive as we draw to the finish line but you have all that in the OP.

Well there will be only 1 winner so yeah probably they thought they wont really have a chance unless they start with decent points since the 1st round. 2 of the didnt submit so that left them with 0 point, it will be harsh to compete with the others. Kinda understandable to just focus on BSFL after losing the round


So quick update on waterpolo's favourites Spain has dropped out the tournament after they lost against Croatia. They were the only that won 5 times on the group stage though so yeah most of us had Spain as one of the finalist

It isn't one of my favourites on the questions so I would like to get rid of it as soon as possible.

I have some really identical answer as my opponent, and I have my very edge with the USA team reaching the Waterpolo semi-final, but I'm not sure if that's an actual edge, because they'll have to beat Serbia to reach to finals now which is much tougher s opponent than Australia is...

What the hell is going on with Australia? I expected them to slow down with Gold medals now that majority of water sports are over, but they just keep winning them. Just yesterday they won (afaik) 4 and at this moment I don't think that France has a good chance of catching them up.

At least MAAManda didn't put them on the 3rd place neither.

Are you sure it's possible to copy-paste the cells? Even on desktop, I can't right-click on the cells.

I don't use right click I just highlight the cell, and press Ctrl C But you're right, now I realize in Season 5 spreadsheet, you can't even copy. In Season 4 if you try, it still works.

Also, good start by USA basketball team as after game vs Brazil they are already at +35, meaning +17 is needed in (hopefully) next two games for us that went with 52+ difference.

Yeah! This was supposed to be the toughest game, so if we expect them to win the next 2 easily, then they only need narrow wins, great picks for us who went for 52 points or more. I see most people who submitted early went for less. Most who submitted late went for more. Coincidence or just the way people who answer late think?

Cannot wait to have it behind us as well. It is fun to speculate on, but can be dizzying keeping up with sports I do not know regularly follow. Will it not be ironic if full football season returns and I still fumble with my picks even though that should be my forte.

It feels like a baptism of fire going up against Hhampuz in this round.

Dunno, when I was trying to figure out whether USA goes over 52, I considered game vs Brazil being the easiest one. Having said that, I hoped for maybe 25 points difference so 35 was a pleasant surprise.

Speaking of the toughest game for USA, I think tonight's game vs Serbia won't be as easy as many think. Sure, they easily beat them in the group phase but in that game they were excellent while Serbia didn't play as good as they can, especially when it comes to 3 pts and if they can change that, we might see an interesting game for a change. Hope that I am wrong though so I can count that point tonight.

@cryptofrka and @Trofo, what will happen if two countries have the same number of gold medals? Are you going to use the official table that then ranks according to the number of silver and bronze? I just noticed that from 4th to 9th it looks very close and it's not unlikely that several nations will end up with the same gold medal count, but the question doesn't specify any further. Is it that both answers count when say country D and county E have each 15 gold medals but D is 4th because of more silver?
Maybe now is still the time to set things straight.

I had my doubts after the semifinal yesterday when Botswana's athlete won the 1st spot and yep that same athlete won the gold medal today. Tough luck for Noah

Also question #3 is currently still ongoing and for now Ajax has scored the 1st goal. I need Panathinaikos to score a goal and a 3rd goal from either one of them to get a point from this question. Gotta survive the LMS

Seemed way off the pace too, was nowhere near the close finish every runner had in 100m, but then they just revealed he ran with Covid, so it made sense.

I thought the weight of history simply meant he'd win gold, just not in record time. Didn't even think silver for a second, but still happy for my point in the end. darxiaomi, we are now 1-1.

The Greeks better start trying to score. I also need 3 goals and BTTS -- dar has the same but I want my LMS points too!

Not sure if this success is attributed to the incentives promised to these guys back home or its a tribute performance that goes to his ma'am he lost earlier this year...and to find out that his only 20 year old shows how much of a threat he is in this discipline..

Almost forgot, Noah Lyles nowhere to be seen, and already his 100m win was a controversial one and now 200m gone...the track games seem to be slipping away from team USA going forward..and btw what happened to Jamaica throught these were their real competition

Good luck to you also buddy.    We have so many same answers as far as I can see. But there are still questions to change the direction of our match. I see both of us started the season with a draw. I would like to get my first win but let's see...

Only our answers to the last 3 questions are different by the way. It is going to be thrilling in the final moments.    I really want to promote to Division 2 this season. Especially while there is some new good rules. I hope not to mess up in the last weeks again haha. Top 3 is the main target.
