Generally,  this round was awful not just for me but to many big teams. Not forgetting team notblox1 still has zero point as I write this.

Well, in this round of the cup we went from 61 teams to 16, very well, one of the things that one finds out by reading the good article of the week. 

I have the best SD in the whole league, I hope that helps me, in tight finals it is an item that puts you in winning positions, I know from experience.

Same situation ! Im having one of the worst luck in cup ever since it has started. Highest I've been so far is probably 2nd round

@bullrun2024bro : excluding the penalties, we have 3 different answer for the 1st round. Im actually excited because cup round is not really that intense compared to the regular league so I got to experiment some of my answers. I would have chosen Argentina to win as well on league or Heindenheim to score 0 against Dortmund but on this cup round I picked some unusual answers that I normally wouldnt have

A really tough way to start the round for me with Netherlands equalizing the game to make it 2:2 vs Germany, while I was expecting both teams to score a goal each, I really didn't think we'd witness 4 goals, now I'll be counting on an Argentina win to get back on level terms, Urrgh!

Unfortunately my win streak has come to an end by a draw against my opponent leea-1334 in the last round. I'm in the 12th place with 7 points now. There are still 9 more rounds to go of course. But if I continue to lose points like this, probably I won't be achieving any of my targets. Anyways, now the cup has started. I'm targeting to do nice things here. My opponent now is Slissy. I see that I started 1-0 ahead thanks to the Netherlands - Germany match. I hope I can win.

Looks like an early exit is inevitable for me in the cup this season, I really thought Argentina would turn the match around after drawing level, only for them to concede a penalty less than 15 minutes after scoring, that brings me 0-2 down with just 2 differentials left for the first round, to turn at least force penalties I'd be needing Dortmund to keep a clean sheet (Big joke), and Al Nassr to not win the match against Al Ahli...


I already knew it was going to be some bloody round, now there is nothing left to cheer for the rest of the way, BS!

Columbia managed to win Argentina which means I'm 1-1 against VashaUdacha777. I counted only seven teams guessing the correct outcome so congrats to those that took a risk and it payed off. Too bad for me that my opponent was one of those who took the risk. I don't follow south American nations, but I didn't know that Columbia has what it takes to win over Argentina who is the world champion from the last World Cup.

This puts me and Igebotz in a weird situation - we have the same answers for 7 initial penalties so the minute of the 1st goal in the Hull - Sheffield game will be the decider.

Yeah, who would have thought that both Brasil and Argentina will lose their games. I was really on the edge whether to choose Paraguay not to lose or go with Brasil. Most of the times I like to go with a choice that gives me win with more different outcomes (like XY not to lose), but it's Brasil so I went with them winning.

Me too, this was why I went with Real Madrid to win this time, if Real Sociedad had a straight option (not too lose) no matter the scoreline, I would have gone for it, but the risk of going for them with the goal variable playing a part was too much of a risk.

I and ulven are currently tied with same options till the penalties so that will decide it.

Many lost at the start because of Argentina & Brazil, IDK what happened there that made it difficult for them to win, even though the bookies clearly favored them. That's ok for Argentina, I think I can accept it considering Colombia played quite well, but not for Brazil, they had it all there to dominate the match, but they couldn't make it a sure win. When I checked the results this morning, I thought you might still have a chance to make a comeback, but I just realized that we answered the same on question  nr 4, which means you can't catch up to me anymore.

I still don't know who I'll be playing against in Round 2, though, as the other match is still open and it could go either way.
