It's really quite shocking as there is hardly any nation that has a constant stream of new natural talents being raised year after year and yet they can't reasonably compete in the CONMEBOL area. I sometimes it is almost impossible how in club football Chelsea and Manchester United are messing it up despite these horrendous financial investments they are making every season, but Brazil is an even worse case. 10 points after 8 games in the World Cup qualification is hard to explain. Got kicked out in the first round of the knockout stages at the Copa America. It doesn't look as if there is a lot about to change in the near future.

I don't think I agree with you. First of all there are not lots of players that earn within that bracket and further, I am not saying that there is a sort of generalized rule at play, which says "more money => less performance" or something along those lines. But for some players I personally think that their performance did decrease as soon as they signed their first huge contracts. Sure this doesn't apply to Messi or Ronaldo or Haaland, but it reminds me of Götze, Neymar and some others. This doesn't mean they don't play well anymore because they are the born talents. But don't you agree that sometimes you watch a player and then think that there is soooo much more potential? But they can't retrieve it?

Messi and Ronaldo had this insane will power to decide every single game to the maximum of their abilities. If they didn't win, they suffered. Look at Mbappe, I am not very impressed. The guy wasted years of an impressively promising career at PSG, but he started to care less over time. That's at least my impression. At the moment he is not the Mbappe he used to be at the 2018 World Cup. That was an insane player who was unstoppable. He is not producing the stats he should be producing given how much quality he has. I think money plays a role because it opens up a whole different living cosmos for them. So much distraction. Can't even blame them I guess.

What is the tie-breaker if they are still tied after the 8th penalty? I know that's unlikely, but that's possible and it may happen.
Maybe, the winner will be the one who submitted the answers earlier? Or any other kind of tie-breaker?

Penalties are rare in itself, but I basically do a quick check whether a draw is possible before them. Never happened that it was, but if it would be I'd probably just add an extra question and send it to them.
Then again, first submission rule makes sense as well - although I always hated the 'coin toss' rule in sports and this looks similar.

We'll discuss it and let you know - if we don't, first submission takes the win.

Shame that this happened, but the fact that the penalties game started almost at the same time as the other 2 today's games, any other differentiator was impossible to make.

Funny stuff but taking my first win ever In the BSFL even if its in the cup hopefully my season turns around now and i try and get some wins in the row. It is time for Round 2 in the cup and my opponent is Spack17 as it seems. We both have come here with 1-0 wins. Considering our answers to the questions, I can say that the competition is likely to be fierce between us. I hope I can get more lucky.    As we are in terrible condition in Division 1, my team need to improve their morale. I hope we can return to the league with another win. I don't want to finish in bottom 3 positions and say goodbye to Division 1.

  I can confirm that I am also out aswell,  since the only different answer between slackovic and I is the fiba question and he had Yes and I went with No. Unicaja is certainly winning the cup.
