I wouldn't say that chances for Dinamo to qualify for CL were small even after the first game, its just that putting money on them (or in this case chosing them) was not the optimal choice.

With a little bit more composure and luck Dinamo could have finished the job in the first game (game would imo end much different if Zajc didn't hit the bar at 2:0) and even in 2nd game they weren't without their chances and it could very well end up different. Biggest downside of not qualifying for CL is that Dinamo will most likely have to sell someone by the end of transfer window.

When I said that there is a small chance for them to qualify, I meant after the first game. Of course that everything would have looked different if they had kept the 2-0 lead in the first game. But when Viking managed to equalize in the first game, I had a feeling that Viking have much higher chance to qualify than Dinamo. It's mainly because of the artificial grass (like cryptofrka said). In some games in earlier seasons all Croatian clubs had problems playing on it. I don't know why.

Dinamo doesn't have financial problems, but like almost all other clubs of its rank, it has to sell players in order to cover the budget, and also we don't have any big stars in the team at the moment who have, let's say "ooutgrown" the club and want to leave.

That's just reality when you are not owned by a billionaire and instead you are mid range club from a small country, controlled by its fans (somewhat similar to Spanish socios model). Previous management wasn't as responsible and they took many risks, but new one wants to play it safe in order not to endanger the club in the long run.

Dinamo depends on their scouts noticing new talents before they were noticed by someone else. Just look at Olmo. He came to Dinamo from Barcelona because he couldn't find his place in the first team. Then he played great in Dinamo and Salzburg and look at him now. Unfortunately there is no way for Dinamo to keep players like Olmo after they "outgrow" the club and then the process starts all over again (find a young player, train him to become a star and sell him).

Sadly we still did not manage to open ouor scoring account, and I lost my big freebet from BSFL ($100) but it serves me right,,, I knew I should have gone more certain and not keep putting money and support with the team I know deep down is so bad.

That's because you are always pessimistic.

But really, bookies underestimated Viking by giving 2.4 odds on them reaching CL, while in reality it should  have been even with Dinamo. I was almost tempted to take it as it was imho a great risk to reward ratio, but simply couldn't bet against the team I love and follow from the moment I started watching football. I know some people who do that, bet against their teams in order to "cover" themselves in case of a loss, but I simply can't do it.

its pretty much similar to BSFL questions and there is betting involved abit on it but out of 72 people in BSFL, there are still 30+ that hasnt show interest on this thread yet so I think this would be a good time to remind you guys to atleast check the thread 

Give it some thoughts, show some interest and talk to few people to form a team. You could grab few people from your local board community to join, few newcomer from another board or find someone from existing BSFL participant as well.

This is a good time to show some support to a sponsored pool so lets rack up the number of participants to make it looks better for the sponsor (on the same time win some money) and hopefully they will keep sponsoring future tournaments

This is something I actually got puzzled over for a long time. Barca's socios model was something that really attracted me at the beginning, and yet we still almost went bankrupt just a few years ago, with a stadium falling apart with pigeonshit. It must be loopholes even within this fan controlled model that allows a few stupid men to make bad decisions.

I guess you're right I mean I always consider that a team naturally moves on guys who aren't regular starters, but to lose your key players every season, it only works if you're a feeder club I guess or not expected to win titles, I don't know. Barca has had a fair share of movements but in general half our team is La Masia so we sort of already know the core.

We are aware of the allegations. BSFL will not be postoponed because of it. We can't really hold everyone hostage over it. If they are indeed connected, they will all be removed from BSFL and we will do whatever we can to preserve the spirit of the competition. Probably just treat it as any other removal from the league and make all their games as 3:0 for opponents.

We both know cls63 personally and have met him in real life. I can't belive he would be involved in something like this, but you never know with things like these. We also believe in innocent till proven guilty. I know it is maybe not harsh enough to battle all the scammers on forum but I would rather let one scammer take advantage of us then inconvenience regular users.

Did you maybe try to correlate bsfl answers from the persons involved? I was playing with that idea but didn't have enough time to see if anything can be done with it. And what sort of data it would provide. For instance something as simple as submission time could add weight to "Wednesday" connection or take feom it.

Totally man! I believe Nottingham Forest did almost the same when they first came, new players like entire new team and it did not work out so well but second season everything clicked. Spurs is not like this of course,,, core team is more or less same but at least half is a new squad so I expected that we would be quite good. But you know how it is expectation and reality. Maybe it should be just that we relegate honestly

Yeah, we'll pay the prizes today as announced. Freebets have already been credited.

Protecting this small cluster of people on the gambling boards is really important to us - so we'll do what we can to do our part. That means banning members we like if proven guilty but also not jumping to conclusions without any actual proof.
We will track nutildah's thread, ask for help from people doing the analysis and also asking you guys if you know some BSFL stuff that can either connect them or clear their names.

So far we have them failing to submit at different times and Spack17 kicking ILuckyGuyI out of the Division - so it doesn't really seem like it's the same guy behind them. Then again, I'm really bad (and totally uninterested) in that stuff so I will not be doing any conclusions by myself.

So far Season 10 is on schedule, and until Sunday we can ban a few users if needed and rearrange the Divisions. We also reserve the right to ban them later if such evidence emerges at a later date.

I have checked everything, and from my point of view, everything is perfect. I really enjoyed the one week break after the final rounds, as it gave me some time to relax and recharge. However, now that the German Bundesliga prediction competition has already started, I am looking forward to the new season. I hope I can get off to a strong start, make some good predictions, and achieve positive results right from the beginning.
