This officially starts today as there are 2 Friday free practice sessions before one tomorrow morning and then the official qualifying starts.If you want those 2 points make sure to put your picks before official qualifying starts and then do not change the picks after qualifying has started because this void those 2 points.Keep in mind that by watching the free practices or even the youtube highlights if you don't have time like most of us who are at work during Friday,this can give you valuable insights as where to go with your picks.

you should pick before Saturday qualification for 2 Early BRU points
it is not before practice on Friday, probably because practice is just getting use to new track, not sure

nevertheless, I usual put my picks Thursday in all pools, after that it could be rush and no time to put it eventually, and do some changes afterwards, but that is also rare and usually not-good practice

Hey guys, I have a stupid question. New to the pool so I read how it all works and I kinda get it but from all the discussions, it's wise to just put in all the picks before qualifying because you get free points right?

So then what's the "best" way to still make good picks that isn't too early? Is Practice Round considered for the scores? Like yesterday I thought it was qualifying but it's practice. This doesn't have any effect on the race, just qualifying right?

AND if you don't qualify, your pick automatically gets zero?

The early 2 points you get only if you put your picks before official qualifying which is today at 16 PM European time and you lose them if you change your picks after qualifying has started.There is no good in changing the picks even if you don't find the pole sitter correctly from what I have witnessed from last season.

Practice round is not considered for the scores but can give us valuable insights as to have a better idea about the drivers performing on a specific track.Yes this has no effect on the race,only the official qualifying assign the starting grid position of each car.

The F1 pool is more complicated than a football pool. Therefore you can ask about everything, feel free. Everyone has a different strategy. But I think the biggest factor in my finishing the pool as the 1st last year was that I collected EBP points (2 points) by making my predictions before the qualifying session. Practice round doesn't matter. Only qualifying and race results are taken into account. However you need to make your predictions before qualifying in order to win EBP.

This year I did not forget to get the 2 Early Brew Points and I even found the correct pole sitter so starting the race of tomorrow already with 3 points in pocket and I am not caring that much about the picks that I have made as most likely a lot of them will come true even if unknown events like Safety Car can impact the outcome of such race.

I am surprised at Alonso performance despite his age and he also said that "I would like if I said that the car did not felt good" so this was just a fast lap but I will keep an eye of him tomorrow for the race as usually he is much better during the race than the qualification.

They are calculated after the race don't worry,if you have got the pole sitter right and also have put your predictions before the start of the race and do not change anything you will have at least 3 points,I know I have 3 points as I put my predictions earlier than official qualifying and also found the pole sitter correctly,they simply are not updated in the leaderboard yet but just 10-15 minutes after the race up to a maximum of 30 minutes you will see the updated leaderboards and we will see who will get the first yellow cap of the season.

I'm also thinking the same thing as you. Even if they can't get the invitation link their points are valid when they join the league later. As you said all points are calculated at the same time after the race. As I sent the pool invitation link minutes later there is no possibility for -Lemming- to have a problem.

I'm kinda confused here..  Do you get points in both quali and the race or just the race?  I made my picks for quali but I seemed to have missed something as I still have no points.  And does this thing lock automatically?  I can't lock my picks and I can't find the lock button thingy.  There are those ones beside the drivers' names but when I click it, it says my pick was saved and I can change it later.

What is this?
