We are in FP3 and there is no rain yet. I wonder what the weather will be like during the race time.

Looks like @coinlocket$ prediction on the weather was correct. Sunny and still for qualifying as it just ended with Norris almost taking it and my heart sank.
Because I had him on pole position for the race but changed it just after P3 was done. Because Max is just too good when the weather is good and the track is dry.

He wishes maybe to still be driving their cars with Norris getting place 2 on the grid for tomorrow and even Piastri made it through to P3.

But seriously, I think Lewis will end his career with Mercedes cause they will keep offering more money than any other team want to pay him at his age.

It is not looking possible as at Ferrari they have extended with Sainz and it is a matter of time that Leclerc will extend too if he has already not done so.I would agree with that change though,Hamilton needs to get out of Mercedes and try to win the title,the 8th title but the best team to do it is to go to the one who put Hamilton in F1 the first time,McLaren,speaking of put both drivers in the top three during this qualifier of today and it showed that they truly kept their promise that said in Silverstone you will see a completely new car,I believe they can even further upgrade the car and its performance and once they get hold of it,having a winning car,Lewis should be part of that in the end of his career.

Wow, really big achievement from McLaren.
Lando Norris P2 (almost beat Verstappen) and Oscar Piastri P3 is a good position tomorrow to get many points. I wonder how McLaren will perform in the race, if their setup is maybe mainly set for qualifying or their laps just have been a bit lucky considering the track still got faster in the end?

And Perez had a very weak performance again. While Verstappen took pole, Perez didn't even manage to advance past Q1, it's really a joke, what Perez is doing recently. Maybe I should bet against a Perez podium again and that will bring Perez a podium once more. 
If there's no rain or no safety car, it'll be difficult for Perez to get a podium...

We are in for an exciting race for sure.
Looks like we can be in for some surprises in our predictions as well. Perez so far behind + strong McLaren and strong Albon is not what participants are usually picking in our prediction pool.

Drivers like Hamilton really don't lose much from their skills even when they are 41 such as Alonso. Alonso is one of the most consistent and successful drivers of this season in the end. Making big positive changes on Mercedes' car can make Hamilton believe in his 8th title again. Otherwise he isn't likely to make this happen while Red Bull are dominant this much.

Age is just a number, especially in this sport where the psychical component is not the only source of strength.

If in 2 years he will have the dominant car he can still win even if his body is 0.2 seconds slower.

There was some rain later on but it didn't rain for a long time though. There is some probability for rain according to weather report in Silverstone but let's see. No matter what I feel like this race will be great anyway. 

The qualifying session was really good. McLaren did an incredible work by capturing the 2nd and 3rd places. I really admired the work Piastri did by taking the 3rd place for the race. Norris was also nearly taking the pole position if it weren't for Verstappen's better lap in the last moments. Perez is again a huge disappointment and he will need to climb to top places.

Because this was the main issue for Mercedes in the Austrian GP last week. We should be seeing improved lap times technically but let's see.

There is no such thing as Sainz departure on the horizont,I think you have not read the news all over the place where Ferrari extended for another two seasons with Sainz while Leclerc is near it too so there is no room for Albon to come to Ferrari,not at least before another 2 seasons end.

I think Perez has still everything under control as long as he can qualify second in points in the end of this season which is easy doable in my opinion considering he has the best car on the grid then he would be renewed his contract,why would want Redbull to ruin things as long as Max wins titles and his team mate is 2nd overall?

Unfortunately Ferrari screwed it once again with their strategy,I think twice,first by making Leclerc come in the stop as the first drivers of the top at an early stage of the race compared to other drivers,the second with Sainz,he asked his race engineer please sort this out soon,and he said to him stay out,another mistake which cost them being the last places in the point,a complete disappointment for Ferrari in this race.

Sigh, tried moving around some picks on gut, took a big risk, and still end up 1.5 points behind yellow cap. Superbru as usual being really slow to update so can't even really see the leaderboard to check if I moved up/down the ranks but I'll take anything below 2 points off the pack leader.

Great Hammie finish but yes he knows how to take profit of the situation thanks to his experience and his race engineers which by the way are completely different than those of Ferrari which seems to be screwing their drivers with their strategy race after race.

I also checked Superbru and this tournament it takes ages to confirm yet I see I am just 0.5 points behind the yellow cap winners which are two this time,as long as I maintain 0.5-1 point distance from the yellow cappers every remaining race I am sure I can end in the prize spots but it is to early to be thinking about it,let's take every race as step by step toward that goal.

I am also very surprised by McLaren and I am grateful to them for this success because I like a traditional car anyway. On tradition and history, the record of consecutive wins by one team was set today by RedBull in 1988 (McLaren, Senna and Prost). Williams also celebrated its eight hundredth Grand Prix today.

Ferrari needs someone to understand why LecLerc has to pit for the second time?

So Ferrari's mistakes don't just happen this race, but for years now, and they can't get to grips with it?

Congratulations to the yellow cap winners of this week!

When it comes to the race the general look wasn't so amazing. But the start and the part after the safety car were quite interesting.    Norris had a wonderful start to the race by overtaking Verstappen already. Piastri was also nearly getting past him. If Norris and Verstappen had similar cars I wonder what would have happened later on. Two British drivers who are Norris and Hamilton made the fans happy at the end of the day by being on podium.

Ferrari were a disaster due to bad calls again. They could have pitted in a much more effective way. But they preferred hards instead while mediums were still seeming okay for the rest of the race.

Ferrari pitting early, while Russell kept his soft tyres far longer wasn't a good decision for Ferrari and Leclerc, who pitted first, and Leclerc was really slow on hards. Still, Ferrari put Sainz on hard later as well. 
Doesn't Ferrari had a look at how slow Leclerc has been on hards? Going medium + soft was definitely the fastest strategy.
Of course nobody could predict the Safety Car but Sainz on hard tyres getting overtaken by 3 cars in just one lap was peak Ferrari disaster.

I really don't how long Ferrari can continue like this. Vasseur's arrival hasn't changed things much because the same mistakes are still seen by Ferrari. The change they need the most is to replace the people who are in charge with team strategies with better ones. Otherwise whoever comes to the team Ferrari will stay the same about this topic.

Ferrari can't even make the right calls with their choices of employees so how can I believe in them to improve themselves? For example Binotto must have worked as an engineer instead of team principal. He is one of the best engineers F1 has.

Wtf..  It's weird that I never noticed or it slipped my mind but didn't know there's a prize for guys who get a yellow cap.  Lolol.  Ok ok, will start making some picks again and try to win some free bets.    Tbh I'm starting to get lazy and was giving up as I don't think I could compete with you guys. 

I think around 4 years ago, there wasn't enough people who really got into F1 here at BCT.  Now there are guys who give good insights...  Like the guy who said McLaren and Norris could possibly do well at Silverstone.  I think Norris to finish on the podium spots was lined at around 12.50.
