If Red Bull were also close to the other teams we could have watched a quite competitive season in Formula 1 this season. However Verstappen is killing the feeling of competition by dominating the races completely and doing great things with the car he has. I don't think anyone will be able to catch up with Red Bull including next season. I hope that we see seasons with Hamilton-Verstappen competition much more in the future.

It depends on what FIA will do in the next months, remember the 1st title of Verstappen.

It wasn't really that big of an advantage anymore, 2021 was really close between Red Bull and Mercedes.  And the FIA thinking that the 2022 specs would be better for F1 because it would remove the dirty air and make it easier to over take were wrong.  Pretty sure Adrian Newey found a couple of loop holes here and there and took advantage of it.  I'll say it again, if F1 stayed with the 2021 specs for a couple more years we would have had a couple more exciting seasons.

As for the way things are now, it's isn't really good and 2026 is a long way off.

FIA won't do anything unfortunately until 2026 so most likely we will continue to see the dominance of Redbull but lately we have a good precedent,that of a McLaren performing really well after the team managed to hit the right upgrades to the car within the actual regulations,I think if other teams clearly double or triple up their effort to build a winning car we may still have a remote chance of seeing some team stopping the complete ridiculous Redbull domination which is making the season one of the most boring ever,I think this one is even more boring than 2009 when Brawn GP won races by a huge distance in seconds gap.

Yeah you're right...  But I doubt Mercedes would've kept their dominance.  Adrian Newey was onto something during the 2021 season that's why it was so close between them and Mercedes.  And as far as I know, usually it's Toto Wolff who lobbies for technical spec changes.  :/  Not sure but anybody can look it up online.

The Dutch GP might be in danger next week. Because it is probable that taxi drivers might protest for the whole race weekend which would prevent the race from taking place according to the source.

I hope such thing doesn't happen and there would be an agreement between sides. Because due to not having the right certification many taxi drivers are unlikely to be accepted to the circuit. This might lead to protesting the whole race weekend which can result in the cancellation of the race there.

Hopefully this doesn't happen after leaving a long break behind. Despite Verstappen's domination I have missed watching races honestly.

As of the practice sessions tomorrow Formula 1 is returning from the break officially. Don't forget to make your predictions after a long break like this. It would be much more difficult to make up for a lost race week from now on as we have left the half of the season behind. I'm not happy with my current place at all and I want to finish the season in top 5.

Impossible to forget, i open Superbru and i see RED all over the place, picks remaining to do 237128371823 between all the pools, so im gonna make all in one shot even the F1 one, the Pole race winner and fastest lap its gonna be very easy.... PASTOR MALDONADO

Belgium was first time that I missed EB points, and only yellow cap this season for me
maybe there is something in that missing of EB points, it could be back through podium bonus, which is much easier to settle if you know qualification results
and getting all points for podium with bonus is better than just winning Max at first position, since that is what everyone is putting lately

didn't do that this time, but thought about that for following races

Oh nooo, very sad to hear...
Maybe you can gain back 1 or 2 points tomorrow by knowing qualifying result already.
For example, no one expected Albon, he qualified at posititon number 4 today and Williams seems to be very strong here. Sargeant had a crash unfortunately but he still qualified Top 10 for tomorrow.
Or podium positions like suggested by casperBGD.

Hoping for a wet race tomorrow and we might see some action.

Instead of Norris I put Hamilton to podium in the last 10 minutes. However he couldn't even qualify for Q3. If there isn't a big miracle we won't be able to see Hamilton on podium tomorrow. As long as Verstappen doesn't have any technical issues it doesn't seem possible for anyone to overtake him. I don't remember this kind of a domination for a long time.

Nothing has changed,people should capitalize on the 2 EBP points and a sure Pole Position most likely for Max Verstappen as it already happened,especially this was more likely in his home turf in front of the home fans.Then put the top 5 teams in the scoring points which are as right now in my opinion Redbull,McLaren,Mercedes,Ferrari and Aston Martin,I by the way forgot to put the drivers like this order so most likely I will be losing some points in this race,of course I am not going to change anything and lose the precious EBP points.

The rain most probably will be present in this race which should make it a bit more chaotic and more interesting.

Same thing happened to me, at least I managed to submit on time for the actual race placement.
In this pool it's especially punishing when you don't submit and it has happened to me too often already.

Still - I managed to win 2 of jeremypwr's race contests so I already got most of my money's worth - now I can finish last in the pool with no regrets

^  Afaik, it wouldn't have mattered much if you made your picks after quali as we'd most likely change our picks after the grid is set and forfeit the points made on our pick for pole position right?  I think it's a necessary gambit to get more points post race.

But yeah, I made my picks after quali too.  So that's what I'm telling myself rn. 

And judging from the gap between Verstappen and the rest at Q3, I think he'll win with a more than 15 second gap later.

Well it was a chaotic first stint for the race.The team at Redbull clearly favors Max Verstappen by undercutting Perez through the pit stop when this is not at all needed since Max Verstappen was at a certain lap with over 4 seconds difference in a single lap when they were using the intermediate tires.

Now the Safety Car has made the gaps go away and we have Redbull one two now which will be extremely difficult to change until the end of race unless the drivers make some errors as the rain is almost 40 minutes away which is plenty of time for Redbull cars to create the gap with the other teams.
