RBR seems back in its position but Ferrari at the moment its clearly the second team in the grid.

Tomorrow we finally have the answer if RBR got a nerf or not with the latest updates from FIA.

Well based on Max personal performance I think FIA did not nerf Redbull at all and at Singapore was a complete team mistake that did not permit them to win the race,they got the setup completely wrong in the qualifying which in the race then translated in being impossible to fight even for the podium.

Ferrari is there but from the qualifying that shows Piastri and Norris second and third it looks like McLaren is really in a good performance as of lately and if they did this on such a technical track it shows that they are working well for improving the car although any improvement for the teams for this year is worthless.

By the way FIA accepted their mistake in Singapore. They admitted that they were wrong about not giving any penalty to Verstappen for impeding. Sainz also criticized FIA's decision and he is totally right about that. FIA should see everyone equal in this sport. Nobody should be treated different than the others.

Even if FIA gave the penalty to Verstappen it would not change anything in the leaderboard so most likely that won't have changed things overall also so even if FIA accepted their mistake and Sainz pointed out still nothing would have changed for the Championship.

I think that Leclerc still have a big chance to be on podium. If Ferrari didn't destroy Leclerc's race in Singapore and made right strategical decisions he would have been on podium. After Singapore Verstappen and Red Bull showed clearly that they were the biggest favourite in Japan again on Saturday.

It's difficult to say and I've expected Ferrari to be stronger in qualification, while I believe Ferrari will lose places tomorrow because Ferrari is always suffering most from tyre degradation, which I expect to be a factor here.
McLaren is very difficult to predict how it will end but maybe we can compare Suzuka to Silverstone? Tracks seem to be similar:
- lots of fast sections (fast corners)
- very few chicanes
- a few straights but not too long ones

And as we know, McLaren performed very well in Silverstone, where Lando and Piastri got position 2 and 3 in qualification. Many people expected McLaren to drop but Norris finished 2nd and Piastri 4th (he was only passed by Hamilton due to a badly timed pitstop due to safety car).
Ferrari performed very badly in that Silverstone race.
Simply, because I belive tracks are similar, I expect a similar result here as well:
- McLaren will have at least 1 driver on podium
- Mercedes will make up places
- Ferrari will drop places

I have Piastri and Verstappen on podium tomorrow for 2.19 odds, so let's see how it goes.
Of course, it's only my expectation, could end up completely different.

I have quite some doubts about this.The problem was the same when Ferrari was dominating in 2000-2005 and the same then with Redbull 2009-2013,the same with Mercedes 2014-2019 and now again the same with Redbull is happening,FIA did not find anything useful to stop any of such dominance from the teams that were dominating so if we rely on FIA I am afraid nothing will happen.

It is up to the teams,Ferrari and McLaren who have done the most in terms of upgrades and then to Mercedes which have also done something but not as much as they should so I think in 2024 we can see Ferrari and McLaren winning more races and who knows maybe fighting for the title or keeping the fight alive to the last races not like in this boring season of 2023.

Yeah in the pool the results surprised me as there were a couple of persons that were not at all in the bigger prize spots and now just because of a race I see them tailing me just 1 point behind while ahead the top guys got another point of advantage from me and am now 2.5 points behind them although I think that was the gap even before the race.

I never thought to see such a performing McLaren today but I am happy about them and the best radio message was Sainz regarding the Mercedeses saying "they are using my trick against me" although they could not implement it very well letting Russell DRS to keep Sainz behind which didn't happen.

I'm tagging the members who haven't made any predictions yet because it is at a time in Europe local time that most people might forget about making predictions. I hope that nobody forgets about making predictions. We saw how valuable EBP is in Singapore last week.

As for the Japanese GP, it was good til the part when Verstappen had a huge gap vs Norris.  That's when I stopped paying attention as it was kinda getting boring.

I must also admit that it was a quite boring race. We didn't see any action for taking the lead. The only thing we saw was the start. But Verstappen defended Piastri - Norris duo amazingly that he didn't even let a little action happen at the beginning. Norris could have overtaken him considering his strong start but it didn't happen. 

Even for podium there wasn't an exciting competition. Piastri and Norris were so comfortable about that. Leclerc said that he could have overtaken one of the McLaren drivers earlier but his pace wasn't good enough to do that.

Perez was really disappointing. I picked him for podium but he had to retire the car especially after that nonsense overtake attempt. I guess he couldn't focus on the race today.

I also had Perez for the podium but it looks like he is a burned card if we keep using him for the podiums in these last upcoming races of the pool.He can be a factor,a bad factor or a good one depending on how he behaves in these last remaining races.The only big problem we have with him it is that we don't know how he will behave,that lame attempt to overtake a much slower car in a point where it was not desperately needed as soon after that he had two straights to easily surpass that car and this shows that he was not concentrated at all during this Japanese race.

The upcoming races are ones where usually Redbull have been great and maybe he will recover there so I am really doubtful about him but I guess I will have to stick to him for the podiums and whatever comes comes.

Yes, it's really interesting to see how our predictions are very close. Right now, it looks like just particular positions can make a big difference because most drivers are set for top 10 and we don't have many accidents (except Perez  ).

Same here, I'm in the bottom 10% this week despite doing nothing really wrong.
I even had Norris on podium but on the wrong position (3rd, while he finished 2nd) and in Superbru, that doesn't make any difference compared to if he ended up position 10 because I needed Perez on podium as well to get +2 podium points but Perez dropped the ball once again... 
Quite embarassing performance from Perez by puting Magnussen from the track and some more stupid stuff like overtaking during box exit...

Shows how close our pool still is. 1 or 2 very good / very bad predicted races can really make a difference if people end up position 5 or position 15 on Superbru and we've still 6 races to go. Today's race was very close from a prediction perspective (most participants between 13 and 15 points) and we still had some position changes in Superbru. In a much more chaotic race or in case someone can get a correct podium, it's quite possible to make up 4 or more points in a single race.
Next race is in 14 days (Quatar), where we will have Sprint again. So, make sure to get in you picks in time. 

The upcoming races are ones where usually Redbull have been great and maybe he will recover there so I am really doubtful about him but I guess I will have to stick to him for the podiums and whatever comes comes.

I'm looking forward especially to Las Vegas Grand Prix. It's a new track but could have similar results like Monza, since it seems to be a very fast track.

Like someone who decides to make a big bet and leave the second most consistent driver in F1 out of the top 10.  It worked.

But in pool it took half a second to win, when an "obvious" had to be added to the "formula."

An extra good or bad week that a person in top 10 have can be decisive for the rest of the season. It is really sad that there is a 1 week break before the Qatar Grand Prix.

That is true, but positions are not changing to often and it is only with one or two points.
What can make a big difference is if someone catches big surprise for pole position winner or for podium places.
I am not sure we are going to see big changes in next 6 races, but I do hope I will go up.
Next race in Qatar should be interesting one.

Well, it's still time and 6 races are a lot. 
Maybe, we'll get some surprises or you'll get 2 podiums right in a row and you are back in Top 10. An issue to watch can be engine penalties because on some tracks, I expect some drivers to take an engine change, where getting 10 places grid penalty can definitely make a difference.
It's really close and we need to make good predictions every round.

As Formula 1's getting more watchable huge brands have also started to race each other for entering Formula 1 as well. I hope that the design of Adidas' car wouldn't be as bad as their jerseys. It will be quite interesting to see a clothing brand entering this sport and giving its name to the team as well. Teams are spending a huge amount of money for the development of their cars. Therefore Adidas had better allocate a huge deal of money if they want to do nice things in Formula 1.
